Abstract

Developing e-learning content at a boarding university needs communication and collaboration skills. This study aims to discuss the strategy of improving communication and collaboration skills via e-learning content. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through observation and interviews with stakeholders and lecturers. This study found that the strategy of improving the communication and collaboration skills via e-learning contents at the boarding university is conducted through four stages. The four stages are access, analysis, evaluation, and content creation: (1) The access is made by lecturers and students at the University of Darussalam Gontor in the form of the ability to use and utilize e-learning models. (2) The analysis phase is in the form of the ability of lecturers to find, change, and select information relevant to the learning process. The analysis phase also deals with the verification step (tabayyun) of the accuracy of the information. (3) Evaluation is in the form of preparation of learning contents adjusted to the real conditions occurring in the community or referred to as contextual learning. (4) Development of learning content is applied to five basic courses in the Communication Studies Program.

Abstract

This study aims to find a model for strengthening digital literacy at the University of Darussalam Gontor. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Data are collected through observation and interviews with five lecturers in the Communication Study Program at the University of Darussalam Gontor. This research found a model of strengthening digital literacy through the use of e-learning. The model includes elements of communication and collaboration in the form of active participation in learning and research activities. It consists of individual competence components in the form of use skills, critical understanding, and communicative abilities. This research contributes to a model of strengthening digital literacy through the use of e-learning.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan e-learning dalam pembelajaran juga menjadi sebuah inovasi dalam menyongsong era society 5.0. Relasi mahasiswa santri UNIDA Gontor dengan dunia luar dibatasi dengan berbagai regulasi yang ada, termasuk juga dalam pemanfaatan media digital. Etika komunikasi digital menjadi hal penting yang harus dimiliki mahasiswa santri dalam setiap interaksi melalui media digital. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui strategi penanaman etika komunikasi digital di pesantren dalam menyongsong era society 5.0 melalui pemanfaatan e-learning. Penelitian ini berupa kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan observasi dengan pengelola program studi dan dosen-dosen pengampu mata kuliah dasar Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Darussalam Gontor yang merupakan lembaga pendidikan tinggi berbasis pesantren. Teknik analisis data dilakukan berdasarkan teori Milles dan Huberman. Keabsahan data penelitian dilakukan dengan triangulasi sumber dan metode. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi penanaman etika komunikasi digital di Universitas Darussalam Gontor dengan memanfaatkan e-learning dilakukan berdasarkan standar literasi media islam daring. Terdapat tujuh standar literasi media islam daring yang dijadikan rujukan dalam menanamkan etika komunikasi digital kepada para mahasiswa santri meskipun pelaksanaannya belum secara maksimal. Ketujuh standar tersebut terdiri dari prinsip produksi konten, etika distribusi informasi, jaminan akurasi dan komitmen anti hoak, semangat amar ma’ruf nahi munkar, asas hikmah dalam dakwah, prinsip interaksi digital, dan prinsip kebebasan. Pembelajaran e-learning mata kuliah dasar ilmu komunikasi menjadi sarana dalam menanamkan etika komunikasi digital menyongsong era society 5.0. Kontribusi penelitian ini berupa strategi penanaman etika komunikasi digital melalui pemanfaatan e-learning menyongsong era society 5.0 di lembaga pendidikan tinggi berbasis pesantren.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi serta munculnya era digital menjadi tantangan bagi lembaga pendidikan pesantren untuk menyesuaikan diri, terutama bagi perguruan tinggi berbasis pesantren. Pembaharuan model pembelajaran yang dilakukan di lembaga pendidikan pesantren modern terutama pendidikan tinggi berbasis pesantren menjadi sebuah tantangan sekaligus peluang bagi para dosen untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi digital. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh para dosen di perguruan tinggi berbasis pesantren yakni Universitas Darussalam Gontor yang menjadi mitra pengabdian ini adalah masih terbatasnya kemampuan memanfaatkan media digital dalam pembelajaran sehingga diperlukan pendampingan dan peningkatan keterampilan. Metode pengabdian dilakukan melalui 3 tahap yakni pra kegiatan berupa sosialisasi kegiatan, pelaksanaan kegiatan yang terdiri dari pendampingan pengembangan konten pembelajaran dan workshop e-learning, dan pasca kegiatan berupa FGD dan penyusunan program lanjutan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini berupa peningkatan literasi digital mitra khususnya dalam mengoperasikan e-learning sebagai upaya untuk mengembangkan pendidikan di Universitas Darussalam Gontor sebagai salah satu universitas berbasis pesantren. Saran terhadap keberlanjutan program adalah adanya dorongan dari pemangku kebijakan terkait pemanfaatan e-learning dan juga penerapan e-learning untuk semua mata kuliah di seluruh program studi.

Abstract

This research aims to test the performance of you only look once (YOLOv8) in identifying fish species in Indonesian waters. Fish image data is obtained from various sources to conduct testing. The results show that YOLOv8 is able to identify fish species with a mAP accuracy rate of 97%. These results reveal the great potential of deep learning technology in supporting the preservation of marine biodiversity as well as the development of various applications, such as fisheries monitoring, conservation, and marine-based tourism development in Indonesia. With its efficient object detection and classification capabilities, YOLOv8 can simplify and accelerate the process of identifying fish species, even on a large scale. Thus, this technology is a highly effective solution to overcome the challenges of manual fish species identification, which requires a lot of time and effort. The results of this study provide valuable insights into the potential utilization of Indonesia's natural resources in the context of scientific development, the tourism industry, and the fisheries sector, which is vital to the country's economy.

Abstract

Limbah pertanian, seperti feses, urine, dan sisa pakan ternak, dapat digunakan sebagai sumber bahan untuk menghasilkan biogas melalui proses fermentasi anaerobik oleh mikroba. Biogas terdiri dari metana dan karbondioksida yang dihasilkan dari bahan organik, tergantung pada faktor suhu, kelembaban, dan keasaman. Pertumbuhan industri peternakan mengakibatkan masalah lingkungan, terutama penumpukan limbah peternakan sapi yang menciptakan polutan seperti BOD, COD, bakteri patogen, dan polusi udara. Biodigester adalah reaktor kompleks yang menggabungkan bahan organik dengan mikroba tertentu dalam kondisi anaerobik untuk menghasilkan biogas. Desain biodigester bervariasi sesuai lokasi geografis, ketersediaan substrat, dan iklim. Proses fermentasi memakan waktu beberapa minggu untuk menghasilkan energi, dan pengendalian proses menjadi penting untuk menjaga stabilitas. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan memberikan pelatihan tentang desain dan implementasi biodigester biogas dalam pengembangan energi bersih terbarukan bagi kelompok tani di Desa Jamali, Kabupaten Cianjur. Metodenya mencakup pengembangan biodigester sebagai sumber energi bersih di sektor pertanian. Outputnya mencakup publikasi online, peningkatan daya saing, peningkatan penerapan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, serta peningkatan nilai-nilai kemasyarakatan dalam pendidikan. Publikasi kegiatan ini transparan dan dapat menjadi dasar untuk pendampingan dalam bidang lainnya.

Abstract

Mobile phones have become a primary means of communication, yet their advancement has also been exploited by cybercriminals, particularly through voice phishing schemes. Voice phishing is a form of social engineering fraud carried out via telephone conversations to illegally obtain personal or financial information. The complexity of voice phishing continues to increase, as a single conversation may involve multiple fraudulent schemes simultaneously, necessitating the application of multi-label classification to comprehensively identify all motives of fraud. Previous studies have predominantly utilized single-label approaches and foreign-language data, making them less relevant to the Indonesian language context and unable to produce speaker segmentation outputs for conversational analysis. This study contributes by developing a multi-label voice phishing classification system specifically for Indonesian telephone conversations to address this gap. Audio data were collected from open sources and simulated recordings, resulting in a total of 300 samples labeled into six categories: five phishing modes and one non-phishing category. The proposed system consists of a preprocessing pipeline that includes noise reduction, speaker segmentation, automatic transcription, and text cleaning to preserve the context of two-way conversations. Two machine learning models based on transformer architectures, XLM-RoBERTa and ELECTRA, are employed to identify various fraud schemes that may occur simultaneously within a single conversation. The dataset was split into training, validation, and testing sets with two division ratios for performance evaluation. Several combinations of hyperparameters were tested to obtain the most optimal model configuration. Evaluation was conducted using a supervised learning approach and various performance metrics. The experimental results show that XLM-RoBERTa achieved the highest average accuracy of 97.04 ± 1.15% and the highest average F1-score of 92.66 ± 2.59%. These results highlight the novelty of applying multi-label classification in the Indonesian language context for voice phishing detection, contributing to more effective fraud identification in real-world telephony systems.

Abstract

The system proposed in this research is a posture detection system using real-time computer vision technology with system limitations aimed at detecting shoulder posture as part of anthropometric measurements, because if the shoulder posture is unbalanced and has a very significant height difference, it is called an indication of scoliosis. This research aims to facilitate the detection of scoliosis, especially in one of its symptoms, namely shoulder asymmetry with anthropometric measurements of the ‘Elbow-to-Elbow breadth’ position using the scoliomter method. In addition, common screening methods that can be used for scoliosis, especially in adolescents, include the Adams forward bend test, Cobb angle measurement, and Moire measurement. The anthropometric shoulder posture detection system includes the stages of preparation for detection using a webcam with T-position calibration, then MediaPipe Library processes 33 keypoints, OpenCV and Python to analyze body movements in real time, then this asymmetry is calculated using standard algorithms for pose prediction, vector projection and atan2 to obtain asymmetry angle information. The results of testing the shoulder detection system in the form of shoulder posture according to landmarks on one test subject and keypoint extraction on the user interface display in real time and provide information on the angle of asymmetry of the shoulder and hip in the front and rear facing positions. From testing 16 respondents, the shoulder tilt angle is obtained in the range of 7.42-19.84 degrees which will have a TRUE value if the angle is greater than 15 degrees. Information on the angle of more than 15 degrees can be used as a reference for scoliosis symptoms and further diagnosis by medical practitioners and through this detection system it will be easy to get information related to the results of shoulder posture detection accurately and in real time compared to using only a scoliometer.
