Abstract

Sovereign Wealth Funds (SWFs) have become increasingly influential in the global financial system, serving not only as state investment vehicles but also as instruments of macroeconomic stabilization. This study explores how asset diversification strategies employed by leading SWFs—such as Norway’s GPFG, Singapore’s GIC and Temasek, the UAE’s ADIA, and Qatar’s QIA—contribute to global economic resilience. Utilizing a qualitative approach and thematic analysis, the research synthesizes insights from policy documents, academic literature, and institutional reports to assess the strategic rationale, governance structures, and risk management practices underpinning SWF operations. The findings reveal that robust asset diversification, especially when aligned with long-term mandates, transparency, and ESG integration, enhances a fund's capacity to act as a counter-cyclical buffer during economic crises. However, geopolitical influences, governance opacity, and illiquid asset exposures pose significant challenges. This study contributes to the growing discourse on sovereign investment by affirming the critical role of SWFs in promoting global economic stability, and offers policy recommendations for optimizing their structure and strategy in both developed and emerging economies.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of education level and compensation on work productivity of employees of the Padang City Market Service Office. The independent variables used are education level (X1) and compensation (X2). The dependent variable is employee work productivity (Y). The type of research methodology used is the causative method. The data used are primary and secondary data. Primary data was obtained by interviewing a sample of 97 Padang City Market Service employees. The analysis tool used is Multiple Linear Regression with the SPSS version 19.0 program. The results of the study show that the first hypothesis (H1) can be accepted. It can be seen that the tcount value for this variable is 3.137. Meanwhile the value in the 5% distribution table is 2.376. Then tcount (3.137) > ttable (2.376). This means that the education level variable (X1) has a positive influence. This is also reinforced by the significance value (0.004 <0.050) meaning that the education level variable (X1) has a positive and significant effect on the work productivity of Padang City Market Service employees. Whereas the second hypothesis (H2) is also accepted, seen in the tcount value for this variable of 5.020. Meanwhile the value in the 5% distribution table is 2.376. Then tcount (5.020) > ttable (2.376). This means that the compensation variable (X2) has a positive influence. This is also reinforced by the significance value (0.000 <0.050) meaning that the compensation variable (X2) has a positive and significant effect on the work productivity of Padang City Market Service employees. For the third hypothesis (H3) it is also accepted that Fcount is 15.535, while the results of Ftable in the distribution table with an error rate of 5% are 3.44. This means Fcount > Ftable (15.535 > 3.44). These calculations show that the variable level of education (X1) and compensation (X2) together have a positive and significant influence on employee productivity variables (Y).

Abstract

This study examines the influence of human capital quality on marketing performance from a strategic management perspective. In an increasingly competitive business environment, organizations are required to leverage internal strategic resources to achieve superior marketing outcomes. Human capital quality, reflected in employees’ knowledge, skills, experience, and capabilities, is considered a critical intangible asset that supports effective marketing strategy implementation. This research employs a quantitative explanatory approach using a survey method. Data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to employees and managers involved in marketing and strategic functions within business organizations. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and regression analysis to test the proposed relationship between human capital quality and marketing performance. The results indicate that human capital quality has a positive and statistically significant effect on marketing performance, demonstrating that organizations with higher-quality human resources tend to achieve better marketing outcomes, including sales growth, customer acquisition, and market competitiveness. These findings confirm that marketing performance is not only shaped by external market conditions but is also strongly influenced by internal strategic resources. The study concludes that human capital quality plays a crucial role in enhancing marketing performance and should be integrated into organizational strategic and marketing planning. The results provide valuable insights for managers in aligning human resource development with marketing objectives to achieve sustainable competitive advantage.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the digital era has reshaped human technology relations, shifting AI from a mere instrumental tool to an active collaborative partner in data analysis, decision support, and innovation across multiple domains. This study examines the partnership between humans and AI through a philosophical lens informed by Hindu thought, aiming to articulate ethical resources that can guide responsible AI development and deployment. Employing a qualitative literature review, the research synthesizes scholarship on AI development, technology ethics, philosophy of technology, and Hindu ethical concepts. The review finds that Hindu principles particularly dharma (moral duty), karma (consequential responsibility), and Tri Hita Karana (harmonious relations among humans, nature, and the divine) offer a coherent normative framework for aligning AI design and use with social justice, accountability, and communal welfare. The study concludes that framing human AI relations as a moral partnership, rather than a purely technical arrangement, can help preserve human agency, mitigate algorithmic harms, and promote technology that supports sustainable well-being. The findings contribute a cross-cultural ethical perspective to contemporary debates on responsible AI.

Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the relationships between work-life balance, organizational support, job satisfaction, and retention intention, with employee engagement as a mediating variable, focusing on professional players in the ARTEX E-SPORT team in Padang. Utilizing a quantitative research design with a saturated sampling technique involving 35 respondents, data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS. The results reveal that work-life balance has a strong positive effect on job satisfaction and retention intention, while organizational support significantly influences both outcomes and enhances employee engagement. Furthermore, employee engagement mediates the relationships between work-life balance, organizational support, and the dependent variables, highlighting its critical role in linking supportive workplace practices to employee outcomes. These findings emphasize the importance of fostering a balanced and supportive work environment to enhance engagement, satisfaction, and retention, particularly for Generation Z employees in high-demand sectors like esports. This study contributes to existing literature by exploring these dynamics in the esports industry and provides actionable insights for organizations to implement effective workforce management strategies. Future research is encouraged to include additional mediating or moderating variables and explore these relationships across diverse organizational contexts.
