Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how saving habits and financial literacy at PT. FCC Indonesia private workers influence their preparation for retirement. This research methodology combines purposive sampling and survey methodology with a quantitative descriptive approach. Because retirement readiness must be prepared from an early age, the object of research is PT FCC Indonesia, with a sample size of 100 respondents aged 20 to 40 years. The findings of this study indicate that saving and financial literacy significantly improve a person's preparation for retirement. Although financial literacy is necessary to increase awareness of money and can help people make the right financial decisions, including the decision to invest in retirement, saving behavior is very important to grow savings that can be used to meet living expenses in retirement. The fact that this research is limited to PT. FCC Indonesia and its small sample size is one of its weaknesses. In order for the research findings to be applied more widely, larger sample sizes and more geographic locations should be used in future research. Based on research findings, private employees at PT. FCC Indonesia's preparation for retirement is greatly influenced by their savings and financial literacy. This is consistent with other research which finds a positive correlation between saving behavior, financial literacy, and retirement preparation. Knowledge about the variables that influence private employees' retirement preparations is further advanced through this research. This study implies that to ensure private sector employees' financial readiness for retirement, it is important to increase their level of financial literacy and saving behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of social environment and self-control on the financial behavior of students in the Management Study Program at Universitas Buana Perjuangan Karawang, Class of 2021. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach. The population in this study consists of 412 students, with a sample size of 80 students selected using simple random sampling technique. Data was collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed using validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and regression analysis. The results of the study show that the social environment significantly influences students' financial behavior. A positive social environment, such as support from family, peers, and the educational environment, shapes better financial habits. Students who are accustomed to being in an environment that provides examples of wise financial management tend to imitate these patterns in their daily lives. Additionally, self-control was also found to have a significant impact on students' financial behavior. Students with a high level of self-control are able to resist the urge to make impulsive purchases, manage their spending more systematically, and remain consistent in achieving long-term financial goals.Simultaneously, both of these variables contribute to students' financial behavior, with an R Square value of 0.679. This means that 67.9% of the variability in financial behavior can be explained by the social environment and self-control, while the remaining variance is influenced by factors outside the scope of this research model.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of pocket money and hedonistic behavior on debt risk among students of the Management Study Program, Universitas Buana Perjuangan Karawang, class of 2021. The method used in this study is quantitative with a quantitative descriptive. The population in this study amounted to 412 students, with a sample of 80 students selected using the simple random sampling method. Data were collected through online questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, and hypothesis tests. The results of the study show that the pocket money variable does not have a significant effect on debt risk. This indicates that the amount of pocket money students receive, both large and small, does not directly affect their decision to go into debt, because it is more influenced by how students manage their money. Conversely, hedonistic behavior has a significant influence on student debt risk, encouraging students to consume excessively for personal pleasure without considering financial ability, thereby increasing the tendency to go into debt as a way to fulfill this lifestyle. Thus, hedonistic behavior has a dominant role in increasing debt risk among students, especially when it is not accompanied by wise financial management. The R-Square value of 0.511 indicates that 51.1% of the variability of debt risk can be explained by two independent variables, namely pocket money and hedonistic behavior, while the rest is influenced by other factors outside the study model
