Abstract

Abstract

With the increasing presence of digital communication, the distinction between virtual relationships and real-life interactions has become more blurred. The psychological effects of online relationships, especially in terms of emotional development and mental health, have garnered growing attention. This article explores the concept of virtual relationships and how they influence real emotions, drawing on existing literature to provide a comprehensive understanding of the topic. Using a conceptual framework, this study examines the complexities of virtual interactions and their psychological impact on individuals, particularly focusing on emotional authenticity, attachment, and social well-being. The methodological approach for this article is qualitative research. The primary research tool was a comprehensive literature review, focusing on psychological studies of virtual relationships, emotional development, and online communication patterns. The findings suggest that while virtual relationships may serve as meaningful substitutes, they are not a replacement for genuine human connections. Additionally, they may lead to emotional distress and distorted perceptions of intimacy, especially when they fail to fulfill essential emotional needs.

Abstract

The company has a problem of ineffectiveness in the layout of the raw material warehouse due to the use of storage methods that ignore factors such as the type, dimensions, and condition of the goods. This reduces the optimal function of the warehouse and increases the time to retrieve goods. This research aims to redesign the suitable and practical layout of the raw material warehouse by considering its form and function, as well as filling methodological gaps from previous research. The method used is class-based storage. Based on ABC analysis, the category with the highest value is class C goods, with 73 units. Meanwhile, from the fast, slow, non-moving (FSN) analysis, class F (fast-moving) goods have the highest frequency of movement, with a movement percentage of 63% for 10 units of goods. The warehouse slotting analysis shows an increase in the number of shelves from nine to 15 shelves with five different shelf models and layout changes in raw material warehouses 1 and 2. The class-based storage method results in a more organized layout, efficient movement of goods, and faster picking time to optimize warehouse functions.

Abstract

This research is true experimental research with a 2x2 factorial design. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely class XI MIPA 1 and class Physics students are taught using a Problem Based Learning model with a discovery model for students who have low self-efficacy and to show whether there is an interaction between the learning model and self-efficacy on students' creative thinking abilities. The average score for creative thinking abilities of students taught using the Problem Based Learning and discovery learning model is 34.50 and 24.13. Hypothesis testing uses two-way ANOVA. The results of hypothesis testing concluded that overall, there is a significant difference in creative thinking ability between students who are taught using the Problem Based learning model and those taught using the discovery learning model. For students who have high self-efficacy there is a difference in creative thinking ability between students who taught using a Problem Based learning model with discovery, and there is no interaction between the learning model and self-efficacy on students' achievement of creative thinking abilities.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia, particularly in eastern regions, faces significant challenges in preparing students to meet the demands of the 21st century. Conventional teaching methods often fail to effectively enhance science process skills, which are critical in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of a STEM Education approach combined with inquiry-based learning and the contextualization of local wisdom in improving students' science process skills. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects were students from four schools in Lembata Regency, namely SMA N Lebatukan, SMA N 1 Nubatukan, SMA N 2 Nubatukan, and MAN Lembata, East Nusa Tenggara, selected using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using t-tests to evaluate significant differences between the two groups and effect size analysis to measure the impact of the treatment. The results showed a significant improvement in science process skills in the experimental group compared to the control group (p < 0.0001). The highest average score was achieved by SMA N Lebatukan (59.46), while MAN Lembata recorded the lowest average score (50.9). These findings confirm that integrating STEM, inquiry, and local wisdom effectively enhances scientific skills and the relevance of learning for students.
