Abstract

A teacher-centered learning process, where educators consider themselves a store of knowledge, is no longer relevant. Baden Powell has shifted the learning process to be student-centered (ask the boys-students centered) through Scouting activities. This literature review aims to determine the influence of scouting activities on students' leadership character and independence. Scouts have eight methods for carrying out their activities, including an honor code, learning to do, a group system, interesting, challenging, in the open, in the presence of adults, signs of proficiency, and separate units. One way to achieve leadership and independence is belief in one's abilities; this can be achieved through learning by doing activities, and this is the application of the scouting method. In this way, this literature review can be a reference for improving students' leadership character and independence through scouting extracurricular activities that apply scouting methods correctly and additionally apply the among system correctly. Thus, through a holistic approach involving education, independence, and extracurricular activities such as scouting, it is hoped that students can develop strong and positive leadership attitudes. The weakness of this research is that success will not be achieved if a researcher does not have Scouting skills or, in this case, does not have a Basic Advanced Course (KMD). This can happen because the researcher does not understand the existing context.

Abstract

Perangkat lunak aplikasi My-Learning merupakan sebuah platform pembelajaran daring yang membutuhkanpengujian kualitas yang cermat untuk memastikan kehandalan dan kinerjanya. Dalam rangka memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengusulkan sebuah pendekatan pengujian yang didasarkan pada Model Dromey dan menggunakan Metode Include Distance. Model Dromey digunakan untukmerancang serangkaian tes yang mencakup berbagai aspek fungsionalitas dan kebutuhan pengguna aplikasi.Metode Include Distance digunakan sebagai alat untuk mengukur jarak antara perilaku aktual perangkat lunakdengan perilaku yang diharapkan, sehingga memberikan pemahaman yang lebih dalam tentang kualitas aplikasi.Penelitian ini mengusulkan sebuah kerangka kerja yang mencakup proses pengujian, langkah-langkah implementasi, serta evaluasi hasil pengujian. Melalui pendekatan ini, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas serta kehandalan aplikasi My-Learning, sehingga memberikan pengalaman pembelajaran daring yang lebih baik bagi penggunanya. Dari hasil penelitian Aplikasi My-Learning mengcapai kualitas 79% “Baik” menurut Model Dromey. Cukup layak untuk digunakan dan optimal dalam pendidikan.

Abstract

The purpose to examine the use of QRIS whether it is able to increase the income of MSMEs in the city of Medan, Indonesia. The novelty recommendations for the use of QRIS for MSMEs in Medan City. The type of research uses primary research techniques by collecting data directly in the field, namely the respondents are MSME actors in Medan City. The Implication can Providing input to MSMEs to use QRIS because it can increase their income and Islamic banks to improve QRIS product innovation, especially risk mitigation and real time.The results showed that the increase in MSME income in Medan City stated that the use of the QRIS payment system had a positive and significant effect on increasing MSME income in Medan City. Constraints from using QRIS for MSMEs There are still those who do not understand how to use QRIS, both from business actors and their customers; network constrained; the slow process of disbursing funds in real time; and there is a fee for using QRIS that is charged to merchants.

Abstract

The rapid development of science and technology demands an increase in basic science process skills (KPS) and student learning outcomes, especially in science education. This study aims to examine the effect of discovery learning model on KPS and science learning outcomes of grade VI students at SDIT Al Madinah Maros. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design involving control and experimental groups without random selection (nonequivalent control group design). Data were collected through validated observation sheets and analyzed using the MANOVA statistical test. The results showed that the discovery learning model had a significant effect on improving students' KPS and learning outcomes compared to the conventional learning method. This finding indicates that discovery learning is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills and conceptual understanding. The implications of this study support the application of the discovery learning model in the broader context of science education to develop better process skills and learning outcomes. However, further research with more diverse samples and more comprehensive measurement methods is needed to strengthen the generalizability of these findings.

Abstract

This study investigated how changes in land use impact people's knowledge and perceptions, notably the transformation of wetlands into residential and industrial sectors in urban low-lying areas. This transformation's accelerating urbanization is a worldwide phenomenon fueled by infrastructural growth and urban growth. This study was carried out using a mixed-methods approach that includes surveys, interviews, and spatial analysis. This research showed a complicated link between a change in land use and how people perceive it. First, turning low-lying swamps into cities frequently changes the hydrological dynamics, raising the risk of floods and other water-related risks. As a result, people who live in transformed areas tend to develop more conscious of these environmental dangers. However, this increased awareness may not always result in proactive mitigating actions due to resource shortages and poor urban planning. Second, socio-economic position and proximity to redeveloped regions affect how locals view urban growth. While some regard land use conversion adversely owing to habitat loss and potential health hazards related to pollution and sanitation difficulties, others see it as a chance for economic expansion and improved infrastructure. Lastly, minimizing the negative effects of land use shifts depends on efficient urban planning and community involvement. People's perceptions are more likely to be positive when they participate in decision-making processes and access information and resources, increasing engagement in sustainable urban development activities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam pemanfaatan media pembelajaran digital di MTs Muhammadiyah 15 Medan Deli, serta dampaknya terhadap efektivitas pembelajaran. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pelatihan penggunaan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis digital dapat mengatasi rendahnya kompetensi guru, keterbatasan akses pelatihan, dan tantangan dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi ke dalam kurikulum. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen hasil pelatihan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan pemanfaatan aplikasi Quizizz berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam mengimplementasikan media digital, yang berdampak pada peningkatan interaktivitas dan efektivitas evaluasi pembelajaran. Namun, beberapa kendala juga ditemukan, seperti kurangnya infrastruktur yang memadai dan waktu yang terbatas untuk pelatihan. Meskipun demikian, kegiatan ini terbukti efektif dalam memperkuat kompetensi guru untuk memanfaatkan teknologi dalam pembelajaran, sehingga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di MTs Muhammadiyah 15 Medan Deli.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the policies implemented at the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) in Medan Deli and their impact on improving the quality of religious services in the community. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study at the KUA in Medan Deli, involving in-depth interviews with KUA staff and community members directly engaged in religious services. The findings reveal that the existing policies have positively contributed to the improvement of services, particularly in marriage services, religious guidance, and increased community participation. However, challenges remain in the consistent implementation of policies. The internship program for students has also proven to have a positive impact on enhancing the quality of services at the KUA in Medan Deli.

Abstract

Podcast merupakan suatu file audio digital yang dibuat untuk diunggah ke media digital untuk dibagikan kepada khalayak umum yang menyajikan berbagai topik, dari pendidikan hiburan hingga berita. Dari banyaknya media penyebaran podcast, media berbasis mobile dianggap paling efisien karena mudah dalam penggunaannya serta dan fleksibel karena dapat diakses kapanpun dan dimanapun. Pengujian perangkat lunak pada aplikasi podcast ini menggunakan metode pengujian Black Box testing yang mana merupakan metode pengujian yang berfokus pada spesifikasi fungsional fitur dari aplikasi podcast Politeknik Negeri Jember perangkat lunak tersebut. Sedangkan teknik yang digunakan untuk menguji perangkat lunak ini adalah Equivalence Partitions. Teknik tersebut dirancang secara interatif untuk memastikan bahwa aplikasi beroperasi sesuai yang diharapkan serta memvalidasi kinerjanya dalam berbagai skenario pengguna.
