Abstract

This research discusses the utilization of Google Form integrated with the belajar.id account in the implementation of the End of Semester Summative (SAS) in the Indonesian language subject for grade 8 students at SMP Negeri 37 Sinjai. This research focuses on the importance of assessment in the educational process, especially in measuring students' competency achievement efficiently and integrated with technology. The research method used was qualitative with semi-structured interviews with an Indonesian language teacher who has more than five years of experience. The results showed that Google Form offers a number of advantages, such as ease of use, randomization of questions, and automation of assessment, thus helping to speed up the evaluation process and minimize manual errors. However, technical issues such as unstable internet connection and limited question features were the main challenges. Teachers and students generally responded positively to the use of Google Forms, especially in terms of efficiency and ease of access. The implementation of Google Forms in SAS effectively increases the efficiency of assessment, although it requires better infrastructure support and training for users. Further development in platform features and improvement in digital literacy are needed to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of Google Form use in the future.

Abstract

This article discusses the implementation of a quality culture-based approach in addressing the dynamics of change at SMP Negeri 37 Sinjai. This research aims to analyze the strategy, the application of discipline and responsibility values, and the obstacles faced in building a culture of quality in schools. The research was conducted using a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were obtained through semi-structured interviews with the school principal and the head of curriculum, focusing on experiences and perspectives regarding the implementation of a quality culture. The results showed that the school's vision and mission are oriented towards the formation of a generation with character, excellence in achievement and global competitiveness. The implementation of quality culture is carried out through competency-based programs, technological innovation, religious activities, as well as habituation of disciplinary values and responsibilities that are strengthened by a system of sanctions and rewards. Teachers act as role models and mentors, while students are trained to practice these values in their daily activities. This strategy has proven effective in creating a conducive educational environment, improving the quality of learning and building responsible and disciplined student characters. The implementation of a quality culture at SMP Negeri 37 Sinjai supports the creation of quality and sustainable education. There is a need to strengthen teacher training, regular evaluation systems and the use of technology to support learning innovation. A collaborative approach involving all stakeholders is essential to ensure the success of a holistic quality culture.

Abstract

Pengelolaan dana sekolah merupakan aspek krusial dalam mendukung kegiatan pendidikan, khususnya dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang berkualitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi strategi efektif dalam pengelolaan dana sekolah yang inspiratif dan berkelanjutan, dengan studi kasus di UPTD SMP Negeri 37 Sinjai. Metode penelitian melibatkan observasi dan wawancara terstruktur dengan kepala sekolah dan bendahara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa transparansi, akuntabilitas, dan partisipasi menjadi prinsip utama dalam sistem pengelolaan dana sekolah. Tantangan utama yang dihadapi sekolah UPTD SMP Negeri 37 Sinjai adalah keterbatasan anggaran, literasi keuangan yang rendah, dan keterlambatan pencairan dana. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, strategi seperti pelaporan keuangan rutin, audit internal, pelatihan staf, serta penggunaan teknologi seperti aplikasi Rencana Kerja Anggaran Sekolah (ARKAS) diterapkan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan akuntabilitas. Pengelolaan dana yang tepat tidak hanya meningkatkan kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap sekolah tetapi juga memastikan optimalisasi penggunaan sumber daya untuk mendukung pembelajaran. Pentingnya pendekatan kolaboratif dan inovatif dalam manajemen keuangan guna memastikan keberlanjutan pendidikan berkualitas.

Abstract

The Exponentially Weighted Moving Average (EWMA) control chart is a widely used memory-type control chart known for detecting small shifts in process means. The recently developed Homogeneously Weighted Moving Average (HWMA) control chart modifies the weighting scheme of EWMA, giving more weight to the latest data and distributing smaller weights evenly to past data to further improve sensitivity. This paper compares the performance of EWMA and HWMA control charts on an iron pipe production process dataset. The methodology involves a two-phase analysis: Phase I for establishing in-control process limits (with normality testing, parameter estimation, and determination of optimal smoothing weights) and Phase II for monitoring new data using the established charts. The performance of each chart is evaluated using the Average Run Length (ARL) metric – specifically, the ability to quickly detect small shifts (ARL₁) while maintaining a low false alarm rate (ARL₀). The results indicate that the HWMA chart consistently achieves a smaller ARL₁ than the EWMA chart for small mean shifts without sacrificing in-control ARL, implying higher sensitivity to subtle process changes. Consequently, the HWMA control chart can detect small deviations in the iron pipe length more rapidly than the EWMA chart. These findings align with recent literature and demonstrate practical significance for quality control: the HWMA chart would enable earlier detection of process issues, allowing for quicker corrective actions in manufacturing. We conclude that the HWMA control chart outperforms the EWMA chart in this application, and we recommend its use for processes where small shifts in the mean are of critical concern. Additionally, we suggest further validation through Monte Carlo simulation and comparisons with other control chart methods (such as CUSUM or extended EWMA variants) to reinforce these conclusions for broader contexts.

Abstract

This article analyzes the Full Day School (FDS) policy in Indonesia, which is regulated by Permendikbud No. 23/2017, to evaluate its impact on character building in children. The purpose of this study is to identify the supporting and hindering factors in the implementation of FDS and to assess its effectiveness in holistic character development. The method used is a literature review (library research) by analyzing academic sources related to FDS policy, character education, and the Indonesian social context. The research findings reveal the positive impact of FDS in building discipline, responsibility, independence, cooperation, and tolerance through structured activities, collaborative projects, and extracurricular activities. The intensive school environment also minimizes exposure to negative external influences and strengthens the internalization of character values through the integration of religious education, local culture, and literacy. However, significant negative impacts were also identified: the risk of academic burnout due to excessive study time, which reduces children's motivation and creativity; reduced family involvement in instilling moral values; and inadequate infrastructure (insufficient facilities) and teacher competence (lack of training in character education methods). Although FDS has the potential to shape children's character, its success depends on strategic interventions: (1) context-based implementation reform (differentiated policies for urban/rural areas); (2) strengthening teacher capacity and integrated curriculum; (3) tripartite synergy between schools, families, and communities; and (4) ensuring children's psychological well-being. Without this multidimensional approach, FDS risks failing educational disparities and failing to achieve the goal of holistic character development. ABSTRAKKebijakan Full Day School (FDS) di Indonesia yang diatur melalui Permendikbud No. 23/2017 dianalisis dalam artikel ini untuk mengevaluasi dampaknya terhadap pembentukan karakter anak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambat implementasi FDS serta mengkaji efektivitasnya dalam pengembangan karakter holistik. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur (library research) dengan menganalisis sumber-sumber akademis terkait kebijakan FDS, pendidikan karakter, dan konteks sosial Indonesia. Hasil penelitian mengungkap dampak positif FDS dalam membangun disiplin, tanggung jawab, kemandirian, kerja sama, dan toleransi melalui kegiatan terstruktur, proyek kolaboratif, dan ekstrakurikuler. Lingkungan sekolah yang intensif juga meminimalkan paparan pengaruh negatif eksternal serta memperkuat internalisasi nilai-nilai karakter melalui integrasi pendidikan agama, budaya lokal, dan literasi. Namun, ditemukan pula dampak negatif signifikan, yaitu risiko burnout akademik akibat beban waktu belajar berlebihan yang menurunkan motivasi dan kreativitas anak, pengurangan peran keluarga dalam penanaman nilai moral, hingga ketidaksiapan infrastruktur dan fasilitas yang tidak memadai, dan kurangnya kompetensi guru dalam pendidikan karakter. Meskipun FDS berpotensi membentuk karakter anak, keberhasilannya bergantung pada: (1) reformasi implementasi berbasis konteks (diferensiasi kebijakan untuk daerah perkotaan/pedesaan); (2) penguatan kapasitas guru dan kurikulum terintegrasi; (3) sinergi tripartit sekolah-keluarga-komunitas; dan (4) penjaminan kesejahteraan psikologis anak. Tanpa penanganan multidimensi ini, FDS berisiko memperdalam ketimpangan pendidikan dan gagal mencapai tujuan pembentukan karakter utuh.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Sharia Financial Institutions (SFIs) in promoting economic growth in Indonesia through sharia-based financing and social fund management. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a library research approach, which examines relevant literature, scientific journals, and official documents related to the activities and contributions of SFIs. The results of the study indicate that LKS play a significant role in promoting economic growth through interest-free financing of the real sector, empowering MSMEs, providing halal financial products and services, and managing zakat, infak, sedekah, and wakaf (ZISWAF) funds for social and economic purposes. Additionally, LKS have proven capable of expanding financial inclusion in remote areas and creating a more stable and equitable financial system. This study recommends that the government and policymakers continue to strengthen regulations, Islamic financial literacy, and support for digital innovation so that Islamic microfinance institutions can reach more segments of society and contribute more significantly to national economic development.
