Abstract

This qualitative study applies a pragmatic approach that investigates the complaining speech act (CSA) used by male and female music teachers based on the substansion of the Solo Song Competition in WhatsApp Group. Data were collected from the utterances of 13 participants using note-taking. The results indicated several findings. First, male music teachers have the highest preference for using the expression of disapproval with annoyance in the substance of after TM. In contrast, female music teachers have the highest preference for using the hint and the blame with explicit blame for person in the substance of before TM. The reason is not only about a high pressure from the school, parents, and students regarding the competitions, but also about dissatisfaction, dislike, and worry with a situation that is perceived as unfair, unprofessional, or harmful. Third, based on the comparison of the result of this study and previous researches reveals that gender influenced the choice of CSA usage. The results revealed that most of the complaints were related to issues regarding the competition regulations after TM. The competition regulations that were highly complained by both male and female music teachers were the inappropriate music instruments for men and women. The results also indicated that most of the complaints were addressed to the coordinator of the competition committee. The complaints submitted were a result of the untrustworthiness of male and female music teachers to the competition committee

Abstract

This study investigates the integration of Islamic values into the economic roles of women by focusing on Muslim women motorcycle taxi drivers (Ojek Syariah Muslimah or OJESY) in Indonesia. The objective is to examine the contribution of OJESY drivers’ income to household economies and the meanings associated with their work within an Islamic value framework. Using a phenomenological approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed narratively to explore drivers’ motivations, income management strategies, and the balance between domestic and public roles. The findings indicate that OJESY drivers make significant contributions to household welfare by financing children’s education, increasing savings, and improving household assets. Participants perceive their work as morally safe and sharia-compliant, which fosters a sense of tranquility and strengthens social legitimacy. Despite these benefits, challenges remain, including income instability, the dual burden of work and family responsibilities, and limited access to social protection. The study recommends enhancing community-based support, expanding sharia-compliant entrepreneurial training, and integrating social protection mechanisms for informal workers on digital platforms. By framing OJESY within the context of maqasid al-sharia, particularly in preserving family welfare, the study contributes to the discourse on gender-inclusive Islamic economics and proposes policy innovations for sustainable and inclusive economic empowerment.

Abstract

Fenomena meningkatnya perilaku konsumtif pada Generasi Z, khususnya di Kota Makassar, menjadi latar belakang penting penelitian ini karena kelompok tersebut merupakan pengguna aktif media sosial dan sangat terpengaruh oleh tren digital yang berkembang pesat. Banyak dari mereka membeli produk di TikTok Shop hanya untuk mengikuti tren tanpa mempertimbangkan kebutuhan sebenarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh gaya hidup hedonisme dan social influence terhadap perilaku konsumtif pada e-commerce TikTok Shop serta menguji peran Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) sebagai variabel moderasi. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode survei melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 160 responden Generasi Z yang merupakan konsumen TikTok Shop di Kota Makassar, dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear berganda dan uji moderasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan gaya hidup hedonisme dan social influence berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap perilaku konsumtif, dan variabel FOMO mampu memperkuat kedua hubungan tersebut, sehingga penting dipertimbangkan dalam strategi pemasaran digital.

Abstract

Persaingan bisnis di era globalisasi mendorong para pelaku usaha untuk mengembangkan beragam ide kreatif dalam menjalankan usaha demi menarik perhatian konsumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Store Atmosphere, Keragaman Menu, dan Kualitas Pelayanan terhadap Minat Beli pada Saung D’luna Takalar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis data menggunakan SmartPLS versi 4.1.0.9. Metode ini digunakan untuk menjawab rumusan masalah dan menguji hipotesis yang telah ditetapkan, serta menganalisis hubungan antara variabel store atmosphere, keragaman menu, dan kualitas pelayanan terhadap minat beli konsumen di Saung D’luna Takalar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketiga variabel store atmosphere, keragaman menu, dan kualitas pelayanan memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat beli. Secara simultan, ketiganya memberikan pengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap minat beli konsumen.". Implikasi penelitian ini adalah diharapkan Saung D’luna Takalar dapat mempertahankan sekaligus meningkatkan ketiga variabel untuk mendorong peningkatan minat beli. Untuk penelitian selanjutnya, dapat ditambahkan sampel yang lebih relevan serta variabel lain agar hasil studi lebih optimal.
