Abstract

Kesuksesan produksi perikanan budidaya sangat terkait dengan penyediaan fasilitas pendukung seperti bak tempat perawatan, pemeliharaan dan pembesaran komoditi perikanan. Bak terpal merupakan salah satu wadah budidaya komoditi perikanan yang kini kian populer di masyarakat disebabkan oleh beberapa alasan diantaranya yaitu biaya pembuatan lebih murah, pembuatan lebih cepat, mudah dirawat dan dipindahkan serta dapat dibangun pada lahan yang lahan terbatas. Potensi Desa Talabiu yang berlokasi di Kecamatan Woha Kabupaten Bima sebagai sentra produksi komoditi perikanan payau menjadi alasan perlunya dilakukan pembinaan masyarakat perikanan melalui kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan wadah budidaya yaitu bak terpal dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan masyarakat sasaran dalam pembuatan bak terpal sebagai wadah budidaya ikan. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat merangsang munculnya usaha budidaya ikan secara mandiri yang berkelanjutan. Kegiatan pelatihan telah dilakukan pada tanggal 4 November 2021 berlokasi di Desa Talabiu Kecamatan Woha Kabupaten Bima. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan manjalin kemitraan bersama dengan Koperasi “Sama Ngawa Karawi”. Kegiatan ini dihadiri oleh peserta sebanyak 36 orang berasal dari anggota koperasi, masyarakat pembudidaya ikan, tokoh masyarakat sekitar, dan mahsiswa Program Studi Budidaya Perairan Program Diploma Tiga Program Vokasi Universitas Mataram yang kampusnya berlokasi di Kabupaten Bima. Peserta yang hadir telah menunjukkan respon yang sangat positif dan sangat mengharapkan bahwa kemitraan yang telah berlangsung dapat dilanjutkan hingga ke tahap-tahap berikutnya seperti pendampingan pada tahap budidaya, persiapan pakan yang murah dan efektif, pasca panen serta pemasaran. Keterlibatan Program Diploma Tiga Program Studi Budidaya Perairan Vokasi Bima Universitas Mataram di Kabupaten Bima yang berkelanjutan dalam kegiatan ini sangat dibutuhkan.

Abstract

Mikrobubble merupakan salah satu teknologi yang mulai banyak digunakan dibidang perikanan terutama dalam hal supply dan transfer oksigen guna mendukung kualitas air. Masyarakat pembudidaya ikan di desa Sokong masih belum banyak mengetahui tentang teknologi mikrobubble sehingga kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan sekaligus memberikan informasi mengenai penggunaan mikrobubble dalam kolam budidaya. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian kali ini yaitu dengan penyuluhan sekaligus pelatihan penggunaan alat mikrobubble. Kegiatan penyuluhan yang diawali dari penyampaian materi tentang teknologi mikrobubble dan juga berbagai permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam kegiatan budidaya. Antusiasme masyarakat terlihat dari banyaknya pertanyaan saat dilakukan diskusi. Kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan perakitan komponen mikrobubble sekaligus sebagai pelatihan, sehingga masyarakat menjadi tahu secara langsung. Tim pengabdian juga memberikan kesempatan pendampingan kepada masyarakat pembudidaya untuk memastikan masyarakat pembudidaya menerapkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan yang didapat serta untuk membantu memberi solusi terhadap permasalahan yang mungkin akan muncul selama proses penggunaan mikrobubble. Implementasi teknologi mikrobubble sebagai bentuk dari teknologi tepat guna untuk mengontrol dan menjaga kualitas air sehingga dapat membantu kegiatan budidaya ikan. Selain itu transfer teknologi dan pengetahuan berupa materi tentang manfaat mikrobubble, perakitan perangkat, pengoperasian dan perawatan, dapat membuat masyarakat mitra menjadi paham akan adanya teknologi mikrobubble

Abstract

Potential fish resources have the opportunity to be developed as a profitable fishing business to improve the economy and nutritional quality of food. Businesses processing fishery products through diversification of processed products can not only increase benefits and added value, diversification of processed fish products can increase fish consumption which can support reducing stunting. Activities to develop diversification of contemporary processed fish products in the context of preventing stunting in the form of counseling and training will be carried out in Mertak Village, Pujut District, Central Lombok Regency. The methods used in service activities are qualitative and quantitative, where the qualitative method used is by conducting participatory observation during the education and training process. The quantitative method is carried out by distributing questionnaires in the form of questionnaires before and after attending counseling and training. Implementation of activities is carried out in three stages, namely preparation, implementation and monitoring and evaluation. The results of the activity show that the community service that has been carried out through counseling and training in the development of diversification of contemporary processed fish products, including fish nuggets and fish sempol, has been quite successful in increasing the knowledge, understanding and skills of participants, where based on pre-test and post-test evaluations the increase reached 96 -100%. Thus, this activity needs to be followed up by providing assistance to participants who have an interest in processing businesses through the formation of joint businesses, while participants who are posyandu cadres provide assistance in educating posyandu participants in the fish eating movement to prevent and reduce stunting in Mertak Village.

Abstract

Community service is an activity with the aim of providing skills-based literacy to community groups, in this case the lobster cultivating community in Ujung Betok Village, Pemongkong Jerowaru, East Lombok. The methods used during training are interactive discussions and work practices. This training activity was attended by lecturers from the Aquaculture Study Program as training resource persons, students and groups of lobster farmers. The activity took place at the residence of the group leader as a gathering and discussion forum for lobster cultivators in Ujung Betok Village. This activity was carried out as an effort to reduce dependence on trash fish feed, the availability of which fluctuates greatly according to the fishing season. Apart from that, this training is expected to be able to increase the efficiency of lobster cultivation. This training includes material on proper nutritional composition, ingredient mixing techniques, processing processes, and good feeding methods. The results of this training show an increase in the participants' ability to produce quality feed which is expected to have a positive impact on the growth and health of the lobsters being farmed. Apart from that, this initiative is also expected to contribute to improving the welfare of local communities through the development of more sustainable and efficient lobster cultivation. Abstract

Tilapia, as a high-value consumption fish, is one of the main reasons why fish farmers choose it as a key aquaculture commodity whose cultivation technology continues to be developed. Flow-through water system is one of the commonly used methods in tilapia farming in Indonesia. However, this method has several drawbacks, such as the continuous use of large volumes of water. Additionally, the environmental impact is a concern, as uneaten feed and feces discharged through the pond's outlet can pose a threat to the surrounding environment. To address these issues, technological advancements in tilapia farming continue to be developed, including the implementation of Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) and aeration systems. The use of these two technologies aims to improve water quality, reduce excessive water usage, and minimize environmental impacts associated with tilapia aquaculture activities. This study compares the two systems—RAS and aeration—using tilapia fingerlings measuring 5–6 cm over a 20-day cultivation period. Water quality and growth data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that ammonia levels in the RAS system reached 0.08 mg/L, which falls within the optimal range for tilapia cultivation. In contrast, the aeration system showed ammonia levels of 1.6 mg/L, which exceeds the optimal threshold. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that tilapia fingerling cultivation using the RAS system is more effective at stabilizing and reducing ammonia levels in the culture medium compared to the aeration system.
