Abstract

Latar   Belakang:    Perawatan penderita skizofrenia merupakan tugas yang menantang dan seringkali membebani secara fisik, emosional, dan mental bagi para caregiver. Pengalaman spiritual dapat memberikan rasa tenang dan meringankan tekanan emosional yang dirasakan. Adapun kecerdasan emosional bermanfaat untuk mengelola emosi dalam menghadapi stres dan bebanTujuan:     Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengalaman spiritual dan kecerdasan emosionaldalam menghadapi stres dan beban pada caregiver yang merawat penderita skizofrenia.Metode:  Desain penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan purposive sampling untuk pemilihan caregiver yang merawat penderita skizofrenia di kabupaten Gresik dengan jumlah sebanyak dua puluh lima partisipan. Wawancara secara semi terstruktur dengan melakukan indhept interview menggunakan hand phone, observasi dicatat dengan file note, dan analisis data menggunakan interpretative phenomenology analysis.Hasil:  Tema yang ditemukan mewakili spiritual dan kecerdasan emosional dalam menghadapi stres dan beban yang dilakukan caregiver adalah 1) perilaku penderita skizofrenia menyebabkan beban dan stres, 2) spiritual memberikan ketenangan dan motivasi, 3) kecerdasan emosional membantu mengelola stres dan beban.Kesimpulan:     Hasil penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya intervensi spiritual dan edukasi kecerdasan emosional bagi caregiver dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan dan kualitas perawatan pada penderita skizofrenia.

Abstract

ABSTRAKLatar Belakang Kelainan yang dimiliki oleh anak berkebutuhan khusus menimbulkan berbagai reaksi dari ibu yang memicu terjadinya kecemasan akibat tuntutan yang tinggi agar anaknya bisa hidup normal seperti anak-anak lain pada umumnya. Rentang respon yang dimiliki ibu mulai dari sangat mencemaskan akan keberadaan di lingkungan sekitar akibat kekurangan yang dimiliki hingga bersikap realistis dan objektif dalam menerima kondisi anaknya.Tujuan. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pengetahuan dengan tingkat kecemasan ibu dalam mendampingi anak berkebutuhan khusus di SLB Cerme Kabupaten GresikMetoda. Penelitian Desain penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif analitik observasional dengan pendekata Cross Sectional. Responden pada penelitian ini adalah 42 ibu dari anak berkebutuhan khusus yang sekolah di SLB Cerme. Tehnik pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan purposive sampling.Hasil. Berdasarkan uji statistic dengan menggunakan Korelasi Sperman Rank diketahui ada hubungan antara pengetahuan (p=0.000) dengan tingkat kecemasan (p=0.000) ibu dalam mendampingi anak berkebutuhan khususKesimpulan. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman tentang anak berkebutuhan khusus harus dimiliki oleh ibu dalam mendampingi anak berkebutuhan khusus agar tidak mudah mengalami kecemasan.Kata Kunci : Pengetahuan, Kecemasan, anak Berkebutuhan Khusus,. Abnormalities possessed by children with special needs cause various reactions from mothers that trigger anxiety due to high demands for children to live normal like other children in general. Response ranges of mother from the very worried about the existence in the environment due to lack of owned to be realistic and objective in accepting the condition of his son.Aim. This research is to know the relationship between knowledge with mother's anxiety level in assisting children with special needs in SLB Cerme Kabupaten GresikMethod. Research The design of this study used descriptive analytic observational design with Cross Sectional. Respondents in this study were 42 mothers of children with special needs who school at SLB Cerme. Sampling technique using purposive sampling.Results. Based on statistical test using Rank Sperman correlation, there is known relationship between knowledge (p = 0.000) and anxiety level (p = 0.000) of mothers in assisting children with special needsConclusion. Abstract

Background: Chemotherapy is the primary treatment for breast cancer to prevent cancer progression, but health protocols, such as social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic, hinder timely treatment. Although many qualitative studies have investigated the experiences of breast cancer patients during the COVID-19 pandemic, few have explored the coping strategies of women undergoing chemotherapy during this time.Purpose: This study explored the coping strategies of women with breast cancer undergoing chemotherapy during the COVID-19 pandemic.Methods: A qualitative phenomenological design was employed to explore the experiences of women living with breast cancer and their coping mechanisms. Purposive sampling was used to recruit participants who met the following criteria: (1) women diagnosed with breast cancer who had chosen to undergo chemotherapy and (2) women attending chemotherapy sessions at the treatment center. Patients with a history of severe chemotherapy side effects were excluded from the study. Data were collected through in-depth, semi-structured interviews with 25 participants, and transcripts were analyzed using thematic analysis.Results: Four key themes emerged from the data analysis, including (1) feeling the uncertainty of life, (2) emotional turbulence, (3) surviving under pressure, and (4) accepting the situation. Participants demonstrated positive adaptive coping strategies to manage the challenges of breast cancer and chemotherapy during the COVID-19 pandemic.Conclusion: Surviving and accepting conditions were identified as vital coping mechanisms that help women with breast cancer maintain their quality of life during the COVID-19 pandemic. These strategies play a crucial role in maintaining mental well-being amid uncertain and stressful circumstances.

Abstract

Introduction: Schizophrenia is a group of disorders characterized by hallucinations, delusions, changes in thought flow, affect, and agitation. This disease attacks people of various ages, genders, and educational and economic levels. The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of patients with schizophrenia in mental hospitals. Methods: This quantitative research used a descriptive approach, with a sample of 319 patients. Data was taken using a purposive sampling technique, the data source was from the medical records of the Menur Mental Hospital, Surabaya in January-March 2023. Variables, namely the characteristics of schizophrenia patients, include age, gender, education, employment, and marital status. Data analysis uses quantitative description. Results: The average age of patients is 25-44 years with a mean value (2.78), the largest age is 25-44 years (37.6%), 3-4 years (20.1%), a small percentage is >65 years (4.4 %), there were more men (63.3%) than women, the majority, 77.1%, did not work, the majority of patients had a high school or equivalent education (36.7%), and 68% were not married. Conclusions: Characteristics of schizophrenic patients, most of them are adults, men, not working, lower middle school education, and not married. Identification of important characteristics is used as basic information in early patient treatment.

Abstract

Introduction: Cardiac arrest is often found in patients in the inpatient room of Ibnu Sina Hospital, Gresik. Nurses as the first responders who find cardiac arrest in the treatment room must have high work motivation to provide first aid to patients before the code blue team arrives. The purpose of this study was to obtain a description of the work motivation of nurses in providing first aid to patients experiencing cardiac arrest in the inpatient room of Ibnu Sina Hospital, Gresik. Methods: This study used quantitative research with a descriptive approach. The sample of this study was some of the nurses in the inpatient room of Ibnu Sina Hospital, Gresik, which was taken using a purposive sampling technique of 55 respondents who had met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data collection instrument used a questionnaire. The data was processed using SPSS v.25 for frequency and percentage. Results: The results showed that most respondents had good work motivation, with 53 respondents (96.4%) providing first aid to patients experiencing cardiac arrest. Conclusions: Nurses are expected to maintain work motivation in providing first aid to patients experiencing cardiac arrest, especially in inpatient rooms, through good collaboration between teams, always receiving positive support in the form of recognition of achievements from colleagues, and increasing periodic certification training related to handling cardiac arrest patients because patient safety is the main priority.
