Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

The use of cold storage has recently been in high demand among businesses, particularly those in the food and beverage industry. As one of the cold storage service providers, PT Pos Logistik wishes to determine the size of this business opportunity. Based on the findings of the survey and research, it was determined that cold storage users in the Bandung metropolitan region may be categorized into three groups: frozen foods, the processed food industry, and pharmaceuticals. As for market share percentage, the findings are as follows: 46% for frozen food, 46% for processed food, and 8% for the pharmaceutical industry. As a subsidiary of PT Pos Indonesia, PT Pos Logistik Indonesia already has a brand image, influencing 39.5% of purchasing decisions, while 60.5% of purchasing decisions are influenced by other variables not analyzed. The figure of 39.5% indicates that the influence of the brand image of Pos Logistik on the choice to acquire cold storage services is minimal

Abstract

Abstract

PT XYZ is a manufacturing company that produces food and drinks by providing quality products that are halal, high quality and safe for consumption by the public. In producing products, companies must provide several adequate facilities to support production activities, one of which is warehouse facilities. Currently, warehouses where finished food products are stored are stored randomly or placed in empty areas without paying attention to product entry and exit activities. This condition causes picking activities to take a long time and makes stock monitoring difficult. The aim of this research is to produce an appropriate goods storage design so that it can increase warehouse effectiveness. This research uses a special storage method. Where a special storage policy or method is permanently placed on each item. The number of product storage locations must meet the maximum storage space requirements and a simulation is carried out using FlexSim software. The research results show that designing goods storage using the dedicated storage method results in a reduction in the distance traveled for the collection process reaching 52%.

Abstract

PT Sinarmar Distribusi distributes its products to all Distribution Center (DC) every day. Currently PT Sinarmas Distribution Nusantara uses a predetermined route every day using Colt Diesel Double vehicles with maximum transport capacity of 500 cartons.   Currently the number of products carried by each vehicle never reaches its maximum carrying capacity. PT Sinarmas Distribusi Nusantara wants vehicle transport capacity to be used optimally. This route problem at PT Sinarmas Distribusi Nusantara can be defined as Split Delivery Vehicle Routing Problem (SDVRP). Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) is a metaheuristic that can be used to solve SDVRP. By using ACO the resulting route is always shorter than the current route and the number of vehicles used is smaller.

Abstract

The Ministry of Social Affairs presents a national program as an effort to respect, protect and guarantee social security in the form of fulfilling food and nutritional needs known as the Food Social Assistance Program. This program is intended for single elderly and single disabled people with assistance for two meals per day with the aim of empowering the community and helping single elderly and single disabled people in meeting their decent standard of living. Distribution is centered on the sub-districts of each region throughout Indonesia, one of which is Klampok sub-district, Sananwetan district, Blitar City. In the distribution of this assistance, there are 23 heads of families who are eligible for assistance spread across several locations, this becomes a problem if the order of food distribution is carried out randomly without prioritizing distance and delivery time. The method used to solve this problem is the Dijkstra algorithm for determining the shortest route because it can determine the shortest route from a weighted graph where the weight is greater than zero (positive), from the starting point of all desired points, so that the shortest route can be found from the starting point to the destination point. The calculation results of the Dijkstra algorithm produce a sequence of each food package distribution point starting from node A-E-B-C-D-F-I-H-J-G-K-N-M-O-L-Q-P-R-S-T-U-V-W-X where this sequence covers a distance of 3,883 meters or 3.883 km.

Abstract

Food security is an important matter that is of concern to the government, through Bulog the Government controls rice supplies in the country, especially in the city of Semarang where there is a stock out, to overcome this problem a safety stock of 681.93 kg per month is needed as well as the application of three lotting techniques namely lot for lot, EOQ and LUC to determine which lotting technique produces the minimum total inventory cost. Of the three lotting techniques, the lot for lot technique is considered more profitable with a total inventory cost of Rp. 100,620,861 compared to using the EOQ lotting technique with a total inventory cost of Rp. 111,910,165 with a difference of Rp. 11,289,304 greater than the lot for lot lotting technique. The largest total inventory cost by applying LUC lotting is Rp. 128,058,510, with a difference in total inventory costs of Rp. 25,437,684 or 25.3% greater than lot-for-lot lotting, this is because in the simple EOQ model it is assumed that orders arrive all at once and will increase inventory, in reality, orders arrive according to the transport capacity, which is 4 tons. So it can be concluded that if these three lotting techniques are applied, the lot-for-lot technique has the lowest inventory costs.
