Abstract

A system of linear equations can be combined with a fuzzy number that produces a new equation, namely a system of fuzzy linear equations. The system of fuzzy linear equations has the general form ,  as an element with real numbers, as a variable of fuzzy numbers, and  as a constant of fuzzy numbers. One kind of fuzzy number is sigmoid fuzzy number. The problem related to the system of fuzzy linear equations is how to solve the system of fuzzy linear equations. One method that can be used is using the Gauss-Seidel Method. This study aims to determine the results of the interpretation of the Gauss-Seidel Method to determine the solution of the fuzzy linear equation system. Based on the calculation results, it shows that the Gauss-Seidel Method does not always provide the right solution for fuzzy linear equation systems with fuzzy variables and constants in the form of sigmoid numbers expressed as cuts. The solution is considered correct if the substitution of the solution to the system of fuzzy linear equations and defuzzification  and  shows the same result.

Abstract

The Bank Indonesia Scholarship is a scholarship provided by Bank Indonesia for students at various universities, one of which is UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. In the scholarship selection process, there are several criteria that affect the graduation of prospective scholarship recipients. However, often the process is not transparently. So a calculation method is needed, one of which is using Fuzzy Multi Criteria Decision Making (FMCDM). With FMCDM it can help to get an accurate and optimal decision on scholarship recipients. The FMCDM process begins with collecting information related to scholarships, scholarship applicants, and a set of criteria that will be used for consideration of scholarship acceptance. The set of criteria consists of 11 criteria, namely, Academic Achievement Index (GPA), international level achievement, national level achievement, provincial level achievement, district/city level achievement, father's occupation, mother's income, number of family dependents, house area, land and building tax, as well as electricity bills. The next step is to evaluate the fuzzy set by aggregating the weight of the criteria and the degree of compatibility of each alternative with the criteria. The aggregation result is called the fuzzy fit index which consists of 3 values, namely, the y value which represents the lower limit of the aggregation result, the q value which represents the middle limit, and the z value which represents the upper limit value. The three values are ranked using a ranking method for fuzzy numbers with a degree of optimism. So that the total integral value for each alternative will be obtained, which will be the decision in accepting the scholarship. From the results of the FMCDM, there is a ranking of decision alternatives from the highest priority to the lowest in determining scholarship acceptance.

Abstract

AbstractThis study discusses the behavioral analysis model of the Susceptible-Infected-Recovered (SIR) epidemic of the spread of measles based on age structure. The total population of measles is grouped into four age groups, namely the first age group (0-4 years), the second age group (5-9 years), the third age group (10-14 years) and the fourth age group (> 15 years). The steps in modeling behavior can be done by determining the equilibrium point, and the basic reproduction number and performing a global stability analysis by building the Lyapunov function. This research contributes to providing information both to the government and the community. Keywords: Epidemic Model; SIR; Lyapunov function; Measles. AbstrakPenelitian ini membahas model analisis perilaku epidemi Susceptible-Infected-Recovered (SIR) penyebaran campak berdasarkan struktur umur. Abstract

This research investigates the application of optimal control in the Susceptible, Exposed, Addicted, Recovery, Quit (SEA_1 A_2 RQ) model to address social media addiction. The primary objective is to develop an effective control strategy to reduce the prevalence of social media addiction. The methodology employs Pontryagin's maximum principle to formulate the optimal control problem, incorporating two time-dependent control variables: control (u_1) and treatment (u_2). The optimal control model is numerically simulated using the 4th-order Runge-Kutta method. Comparative analysis of the simulation results, with and without control, demonstrates significant differences in all population groups after four years. The findings reveal that implementing control (u_1) and treatment (u_2) markedly decreases the number of individuals addicted to social media, highlighting the efficacy of the proposed strategy in mitigating social media addiction. Keywords: Optimal control; Social media addiction model; Pontryagin maximum principle. AbstrakPenelitian ini mengkaji penerapan kontrol optimal pada model Susceptible, Exposed, Addicted, Recovery, model Quit (SEA_1 A_2 RQ)  untuk menangani kecanduan sosial media. Abstract

Stunting is a nutrition problem that is still the main focus in developing countries, one of which is Indonesia. One of the instruments designed to measure the performance of the implementation of the stunting reduction acceleration program at the national level is the Stunting-Specific Intervention Index (Indeks Khusus Penanganan Stunting/IKPS). This study aims to group provinces in Indonesia based on a special index for handling stunting consisting of six indicators, namely health, nutrition, housing, food, education, and social protection indicators using the agglomerative hierarchical clustering method. The agglomerative hierarchical clustering method is divided into several methods, including single linkage, complete linkage, average linkage, and ward methods. This study compares the four methods with the aim of obtaining the best cluster solution in the grouping of provinces in Indonesia based on the stunting-specific intervention index. The determination of the best method in agglomerative hierarchical clustering is determined by the value of the cophenetic correlation coefficient. The results show that the average linkage method provides a better cluster solution than other methods. The cluster solution in the average linkage method produces eight clusters, including, cluster 1 consists of one province, cluster 2 consists of nine provinces, cluster 3 consists of twelve provinces, cluster 4 consists of six provinces, cluster 5 consists of one province, cluster 6 consists of one province, cluster 7 consists of three provinces, and cluster 8 consists of one province in Indonesia.

Abstract

Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (TNBTS) is one of Indonesia’s premier tourist destinations, experiencing surging visitor numbers each year. During peak hours—especially early morning for sunrise—tourists flock to popular spots such as Penanjakan, Seruni, Mentingen, Kingkong, and Bukit Cinta, often causing long queues at toilet facilities. This community service program aimed to (1) identify sanitation needs in critical TNBTS locations, (2) propose additional sanitation facilities where required, and (3) conduct community mentoring to ensure sustainable involvement in facility planning and management. The methods included field surveys, queueing analysis, visitor forecasting, water requirement and cost calculations, and a Community-Based Total Sanitation (STBM) approach for local empowerment. Results indicate a need for more toilet units at several sunrise viewpoints and in the jeep and motorcycle parking areas. Queueing analysis suggests that to maintain waiting times under one minute per person at high-traffic spots, at least nine toilets for men and thirteen for women are necessary. Economic feasibility calculations reveal potential for self-financing through toilet fees, since visitor numbers are projected to rise above one million annually within five years. Community mentoring is crucial for collaborative efforts and shared ownership among local managers, residents, and relevant government agencies, thereby ensuring the facilities’ long-term sustainability.

Abstract

Education is an effective way to combat poverty, with teachers playing key roles as facilitators, motivators, and guides in the learning process. In early childhood education, particularly in Raudhatul Athfal (RA), teachers play a crucial role in instilling values of faith, independence, and good moral character in children during their golden age (0-5 years old). This research aims to empower RA teachers in Kecamatan Turen to create social media-based learning content as an innovative method to enhance student engagement. The research method employed is Participatory Action Research (PAR), involving 13 RA institutions in Kecamatan Turen, with a focus on training teachers to produce digital learning content. The findings reveal that most teachers already use digital tools in teaching, but there are still challenges in developing digital content that aligns with the cognitive development of young children. Additionally, the study emphasizes the importance of creating official social media accounts and websites for each RA, integrated into a unified platform at the district level. The outcomes of this program are expected to enhance teachers' abilities in utilizing social media as an interactive and engaging learning tool. Thus, empowering teachers to create educational digital content is key to improving the quality of education, especially for early childhood. Continuous evaluation through feedback allows for the refinement of teaching methods, fostering a more effective and creative learning environment.

Abstract

In this study, there is no division between addiction in the mild and severe stages. Therefore, it is necessary to divide the stages of addiction because the healing is clearly different. Therefore, in this study, a modified dynamic analysis of the Social Media addiction model is carried out to obtain a valid model that can be implemented in real life. This study aims to find the stability of changes in the Addicted variable which is divided into two, namely Social Media addiction in the mild stage and Social Media addiction in the severe stage  There are six models that have been modified in this study, namely, individuals who do not have Social Media but are vulnerable to addiction , individuals who have Social Media but are not yet at the addiction stage , individuals infected with Social Media addiction in the mild stage , individuals infected with Social Media addiction in the severe stage , individuals who are recovering from Social Media addiction , individuals who are completely recovered from Social Media addiction . The steps of dynamic analysis include determining the equilibrium point, analyzing the stability of the equilibrium point, finding the basic reproduction number, numerical simulation of all variables. The results showed that the population of individuals infected with Social Media addiction in the mild stage  was at a value of 1.6112 with t = 4 years while the population of individuals infected with Social Media addiction in the severe stage  was at a value of 36.542 with t = 4 years. This study provides information that the dynamic analysis carried out on the modified mathematical model of Social Media addiction shows a stable condition.

Abstract

Fuzzy time series is a forecasting method that handles data uncertainty by applying fuzzy set theory. This study compares the forecasting accuracy of the Chen fuzzy time series method, modified using Fuzzy C-Means (FCM), and the Lee method in predicting Indonesian coal prices from January 2019 to December 2023. The Chen method is en hanced by generating fuzzy intervals through FCM to better reflect data distribution, while the Lee method uses weighted fuzzy logical relationships. Forecast accuracy is measured using Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). The modified Chen method achieves a MAPE of 2.56% compared to 5.07% for the Lee method. These results show that cluster ing techniques like FCM can improve fuzzy time series forecasting. This contrasts with earlier studies that favored the Lee method and highlights the potential of adaptive interval construction for volatile commodity prices. The proposed modification offers a promising alternative for improving prediction accuracy in economic time series.
