Abstract

This study aimed to describe the grieving process in women mourning for their husbands. This research uses a qualitative design with a phenomenological approach. The subjects consisted of three people, taken through purposive sampling technique with certain criteria. Data collection was carried out using in-depth interviews through interview guidelines made (semi-structured). At the initial stage, data reduction was carried out, then analyzing and presenting data and coding the interview transcripts. This study showed that the three respondents in this study had a positive view of their deceased husbands even though the loss was caused by different things. Their initial response after hearing the sad news was almost the same, namely shock and crying. After that, they tried to adjust and move on with their lives. Although they still feel a sense of longing, they are getting used to their new lives. Regarding the culture of remarriage, they are aware of it, but the subjects prefer to focus on the happiness of the children and let life go on over time.

Abstract

Education is an effective way to combat poverty, with teachers playing key roles as facilitators, motivators, and guides in the learning process. In early childhood education, particularly in Raudhatul Athfal (RA), teachers play a crucial role in instilling values of faith, independence, and good moral character in children during their golden age (0-5 years old). This research aims to empower RA teachers in Kecamatan Turen to create social media-based learning content as an innovative method to enhance student engagement. The research method employed is Participatory Action Research (PAR), involving 13 RA institutions in Kecamatan Turen, with a focus on training teachers to produce digital learning content. The findings reveal that most teachers already use digital tools in teaching, but there are still challenges in developing digital content that aligns with the cognitive development of young children. Additionally, the study emphasizes the importance of creating official social media accounts and websites for each RA, integrated into a unified platform at the district level. The outcomes of this program are expected to enhance teachers' abilities in utilizing social media as an interactive and engaging learning tool. Thus, empowering teachers to create educational digital content is key to improving the quality of education, especially for early childhood. Continuous evaluation through feedback allows for the refinement of teaching methods, fostering a more effective and creative learning environment.

Abstract

Purpose: This study examined the impact of macroeconomic variables and zakat on poverty alleviation.Design/methodology: This study is a quantitative study with a regression analysis method of panel data in districts/cities in Central Java, West Java, and East Java, from 2018 to 2022. Additional testing on a subsample in East Java was conducted to ensure the consistency of the results.Findings: The findings indicate that the Human Development Index, gross domestic product, and zakat negatively affect poverty levels, while the regional minimum wage positively affects poverty alleviation. Further, the study fails to find any significant impact of government expenditure on poverty alleviation. The test in East Java indicates that only the regional minimum wage and government expenditure affect poverty levels. This suggests that poverty is a complex issue that varies from region to region, necessitating region-specific poverty alleviation policies.Practical implications: These results suggest that the synergy between government and society is crucial for poverty alleviation in Indonesia, and policies should be tailored to the specific conditions of each region.Originality/Value: This study provides insights into the complex relationship between macroeconomic variables and poverty alleviation, highlighting the regional differences in the impact of these variables.

Abstract

Introduction: Adolescents who experience domestic violence are vulnerable to psychological disorders, one of which is depression. Violence perpetrated by primary attachment figures may damage an individual's self-worth, emotional balance, and hope for the future. BELT is a transpersonal therapy that emphasizes how individuals can recognize themselves more deeply, become aware of, understand, accept, and love all aspects of their being. Objective: This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of Brief Empathic Love Therapy (BELT) in reducing depressive symptoms among adolescents who are victims of domestic violence. Methods: This study employed a Small-N method using an ABA single-case design consisting of a baseline phase (A1), intervention (B), and a return to baseline (A2). BELT was delivered in two individual sessions to three adolescent females who had experienced domestic violence. Data collection tools included the Beck Depression Inventory II, Empathic Love Scale, daily depression checklist, evaluation sheet, and observation form. Data were analyzed using visual inspection. Result and Discussion: The results indicated that BELT was effective in reducing depressive symptoms and increasing empathic love in adolescent victims of domestic violence. Conclusion: The intervention also supported emotional awareness and inner acceptance, contributing to psychological recovery.
