Abstract

The massive progress of technology has brought learning into a more practical, interesting, and fun scheme. The presence of virtual tour learning in education is still limited, yet if implemented in a course, such as English for Hotel and Tourism, it might be a new approach to achieving optimal learning experiences.  This study aims to explore attitudes and perceptions of users regarding the urgency of developing virtual tour learning content in the course of English for Hotel and Tourism. The study employs a convergent mixed approach by elaborating quantitative and qualitative simultaneously. A total of 69 respondents involved in this study were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The results show that the majority of the respondents considered it important to use virtual tour learning in this course. This perspective can be seen from their attitudes along with various psychological aspects that support the significance of developing such media. In addition, there are many factors that must be considered to get relevant media, including attractive and user-friendly features, providing significant benefits to respondents, and containing guidelines that are relevant to the English for Hotel and Tourism course.

Abstract

The tourism industry in Kintamani, Bali, is vital for the local economy, offering breathtaking natural attractions such as Mount Batur and Lake Batur. However, rapid tourism growth raises concerns about environmental sustainability and cultural preservation, necessitating a balanced approach to tourism management. This study analyzes factors influencing tourism sustainability in Kintamani, Bali, focusing on product innovation, consumer awareness, environmental policy, tourist satisfaction, and socio-cultural aspects. Using a quantitative method, data were collected via questionnaires from 350-500 domestic and international tourists and analyzed with path analysis. Results show all variables positively and significantly affect tourism sustainability. Product innovation and tourist satisfaction have the greatest impact, followed by environmental policy and socio-cultural aspects. The study highlights the importance of raising tourist awareness about sustainable practices to preserve local nature and culture. Effective environmental policies and community involvement in tourism management are essential for balancing economic growth and ecosystem preservation. Tourism managers are encouraged to develop sustainable innovations, enhance service quality, and enforce environmental policies. Collaboration between government, communities, and tourists is key to maintaining Kintamani as a sustainable destination

Abstract

This paper investigates the convergence of Instagramability, algorithmic impact, and travel intention using an extensive bibliometric analysis of visual-centric tourism research. Utilizing 350 Scopus-indexed documents published from 2010 to 2025, the analysis employs VOSviewer and Biblioshiny to investigate publication trends, subject clusters, and collaborative networks across authors, institutions, and countries. The results indicate three primary research areas: (1) social media and decision-making, (2) sustainable tourism and destination development, and (3) the psychological and behavioral aspects of travel. The topic has transitioned from traditional examinations of tourist motivation to digitally mediated paradigms that prioritize visual communication, influencer marketing, and algorithmic curation. China, the United States, and the United Kingdom have become important places for people from all over the world to work together. There are also strong intellectual links between Asia and Europe. The study advances theoretical frameworks by amalgamating theories of visual communication, algorithmic mediation, and behavioral intention, while also providing practical guidance for destination marketers and policymakers to enhance digital engagement methods. The study, constrained by its dependence on Scopus data, provides a robust basis for subsequent empirical and computational investigations into the interplay between algorithms and visual culture in shaping contemporary travel behavior.
