Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menganalisis pengaruh pengaruh pola asuh orang tua terhadap kemandirian belajar peserta didik Sekolah dasar pada Pembelajaran Jarak jauh di Kecamatan Mertoyudan, (2) menganalisis pengaruh bimbingan orang tua terhadap kemandirian belajar peserta didik Sekolah dasar pada Pembelajaran Jarak jauh di Kecamatan Mertoyudan, dan (3) menganalisis pengaruh pola asuh orang tua dan bimbingan guru terhadap kemandirian belajar peserta didik Sekolah dasar pada Pembelajaran Jarak jauh di Kecamatan Mertoyudan. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan mix methode (metodologi campuran) dengan desain triangulasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah sekolah dasar kelas V yang ada di Kecamatan Mertoyudan yaitu sejumlah 41 SD. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive cluster sampling technique. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi pustaka, angket dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat pengaruh antara pola asuh orang tua terhadap kemandirian belajar peserta didik SD di Kecamatan Mertoyudan, (2) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara bimbingan guru dengan kemandirian belajar peserta didik, dan (3) terdapat pengaruh pola asuh orang tua dan bimbingan guru terhadap kemandirian belajar peserta didik SD di Kecamatan Mertoyudan.

Abstract

The presence of various technologies in education can create a condition in which learning process can take place more effectively and meaningfully. The use of various online learning platforms in class is often a strategy for educators to increase students’ interaction and engagement during the learning. In fact, there are still many educators who don't know how to start and utilize the platform in learning. This study aims to redefine best practices that can be used by educators when using Mentimeter platform in learning. The descriptive method is used in this study by involving 40 students who attended lecture activities with Mentimeter platform. The result shows that Mentimeter platform can be used to increase students’ engagement and interaction in the learning process. This can be seen from the number of responses given by the respondents compared to conventional learning activities that do not involve technology in the process. In addition, Mentimeter platform can be a tool for conducting simple formative assessments for educators. Future studies need to present an experimental activity that tests the existence of this Mentimeter platform in learning further.

Abstract

As a profession, teacher fields are not separated from competence matter, so that the teacher does not only have to have enough knowledge, but they are required to increase the professional competency. The study aimed to examine dan analyse the influence of education and training on teacher’s professional competency. The study was conducted by survey method with written questionnaire toward teachers at elementary school in the Dictrict of North Makale Tana Toraja Regency. The number of samples in this research were seventy nine respondents by purposive sampling method with a criteria which has teaching experience at least one year. The examined of hypothesis was using Linier Regression Analysis by Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 23. The results of research indicate that education and training positively and significantly influence on teacher’s professional competency, as partial or simultaneous. Determine coefficient R Square value of 0.717 indicates that the variation in teacher’s professional competency at elementary school in the Dictrict of North Makale Tana Toraja Regency determine by education and training within 71.7 percent, while theremaining 28.3 percent determine by other factors out of the independent variables in this research. The research indicates that the teacher’s professional competency has the relationship with the level of education and training of teacher.

Abstract

Blended learning has become an increasingly popular approach in the educational field because it combines traditional/conventional learning with digital technology-based learning. However, the success of implementing blended learning in educational institutions can be influenced by various different factors depending on the characteristics of the educational institution. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the differentiating factors that influence the success of blended learning in educational institutions. The discriminant analysis method in this study was used to identify and determine the differentiating factors that distinguished the high success blended learning group from the low success group. Research data was collected from various educational institutions that have implemented blended learning in their curricula. The results of the analysis show that there are several significant differentiating factors between the high and low success groups in applying blended learning. Some of these factors include Implementation Standards and Guidelines, Infrastructure and Technology mastery, Learning Strategy, Human Resources, Learning Content and Learning Environment. This research makes an important contribution to the development of more effective blended learning implementation strategies in educational institutions. By understanding the differentiating factors that influence success, educational institutions can increase their efforts to create a conducive learning environment and improve the quality of student learning outcomes.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di SDN 2 Ambalau dan SDN 3 Kemangai Kecamatan Ambalau, Kabupaten Sintang. Fokus riset pada profil kepemimpinan dan strategi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam implementasi Kurikulum. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain multi case study dipilih untuk memperoleh gambaran mendalam mengenai dinamika kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam konteks keterbatasan sumber daya sekolah pedalaman. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi yang melibatkan kepala sekolah, guru, pengawas, siswa, orang tua, dan Kepala Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Sintang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah memiliki kepribadian yang kuat dan mampu mengelola sekolah meski sering menghadapi keterbatasan waktu dan sumber daya. Namun, dalam dimensi manajerial, kepala sekolah kurang melibatkan guru dalam pengelolaan sekolah secara optimal. Di sisi lain, dalam dimensi profesionalisme, supervisi terhadap guru masih belum maksimal. Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di kedua sekolah tersebut menunjukkan pentingnya peran kepala sekolah dalam merancang Kurikulum Operasional Sekolah (KOS) dan perencanaan berbasis data untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan tentang tantangan dan strategi kepala sekolah dalam mengelola pendidikan di daerah pedalaman, serta implikasinya terhadap penguatan implementasi kebijakan pendidikan di tingkat lokal.Kata Kunci: profil, strategi, kepemimpinan, kurikulum mandiriABSTRACTThis study aims to explore the role of principal leadership in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum at SDN 2 Ambalau and SDN 3 Kemangai, Ambalau District, Sintang Regency. The focus of the research is on the leadership profile and leadership strategies of principals in implementing the Curriculum. A qualitative approach with a multi-case study design was chosen to obtain an in-depth picture of the dynamics of principal leadership in the context of limited resources in remote schools. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies involving principals, teachers, supervisors, students, parents, and the Head of the Sintang Regency Education Office. The results of the study indicate that principals have strong personalities and are able to manage schools even though they often face limited time and resources. However, in the managerial dimension, principals do not involve teachers optimally in managing schools. On the other hand, in the professionalism dimension, supervision of teachers is still not optimal. The implementation of the Independent Curriculum in both schools shows the importance of the role of principals in designing the School Operational Curriculum (KOS) and data-based planning to improve the quality of education. This study provides insight into the challenges and strategies of school principals in managing education in remote areas, as well as their implications for strengthening the implementation of education policies at the local level.Keywords: profile, strategy, leadership, independent curriculum

Abstract

The massive progress of technology has brought learning into a more practical, interesting, and fun scheme. The presence of virtual tour learning in education is still limited, yet if implemented in a course, such as English for Hotel and Tourism, it might be a new approach to achieving optimal learning experiences.  This study aims to explore attitudes and perceptions of users regarding the urgency of developing virtual tour learning content in the course of English for Hotel and Tourism. The study employs a convergent mixed approach by elaborating quantitative and qualitative simultaneously. A total of 69 respondents involved in this study were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The results show that the majority of the respondents considered it important to use virtual tour learning in this course. This perspective can be seen from their attitudes along with various psychological aspects that support the significance of developing such media. In addition, there are many factors that must be considered to get relevant media, including attractive and user-friendly features, providing significant benefits to respondents, and containing guidelines that are relevant to the English for Hotel and Tourism course.

Abstract

Dalam memahami pencapaian kemajuan pendidikan dipengaruhi faktor diantaranya bakat dan minat siswa, ruang lingkup sekolah, ruang guru, ruang tenaga pendidikan (tendik), dan ruang pembelajaran, dan sebagainya. Gaya kepemimpinan dan penerapan peran kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah menjadi hal penting dalam meningkatkan prestasi siswa. Di SDN 006 Melak diperoleh temuan awal bahwa Kepala Sekolah sudah melaksanakan perannya dengan baik. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan analisis lebih mendalam terkait gaya kepemimpinan, penerapan peran kepemimpinan, dan prestasi belajar siswa di SDN 006 Melak. Jenis penelitian ini adalah field study dengan teknik analisis data menggunakan aplikasi NVivo dengan interpretasi menggunakan teknik kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan gaya kepemimpinan merupakan gaya kepemimpinan demokratis. Kepala Sekolah menjalankan tujuh peran kepemimpinan yakni edukator, manajer, supervisor, administrator, leader, inovator, dan motivator dengan baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditemukan bahwa beberapa siswa belum mengalami peningkatan prestasi terutama di bidang numerik. Meskipun demikian, masih lebih banyak siswa yang mengalami peningkatan prestasi. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah gaya kepemimpinan dan penerapan peran kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah yang baik secara efektif meningkatkan prestasi siswa di SDN 006 Melak dalam aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor dan masih perlu dilakukan perbaikan untuk mengatasi siswa yang belum mengalami peningkatan prestasi belajar

Abstract

In the field of tourism, English serves as a global language of communication between tour guides and international tourists, as well as in relation to tourist attractions, culture, history, food, beverages, accommodations, transportation, souvenirs, services, and many other aspects. The needs analysis/assessment requires the synchronization of the demand (tourism users) and supply (English for tourism). In the Indonesian context, there has been an increasing market demand from the tourism sector for higher education institutions to provide their best graduates with relevant and aligned skills. This study investigates the industry's needs for English in the context of hotel and tourism courses. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, using both quantitative data from surveys and qualitative data from interviews. The results indicate that ten out of twelve topics in the English for Hotel and Tourism book of the English Education program at Universitas Terbuka are relevant to the respondents' occupations/industries. However, two topics were deemed by most respondents to be irrelevant to their jobs. For improvement, this study recommends that these two irrelevant topics be altered or modified.

Abstract

Guru SD–SMA di Kota Dili, Timor-Leste masih menghadapi keterbatasan dalam memahami dan menerapkan model pembelajaran yang kreatif dan kontekstual. Permasalahan ini berdampak pada variasi kualitas pembelajaran di kelas serta minimnya integrasi model pembelajaran dalam RPP. Program pengabdian internasional ini bermitra dengan Pusat Budaya Indonesia dan Yayasan An-Nur Dili dengan tujuan meningkatkan kapasitas guru melalui workshop implementasi model pembelajaran. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 12–13 Juni 2024 dengan melibatkan 45 guru dari jenjang SD hingga SMA. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup ceramah interaktif, diskusi, praktik penyusunan RPP dan demonstrasi model pembelajaran, sesi tanya jawab, serta monitoring penerapan di kelas. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan tingkat ketercapaian workshop berada pada skor rata-rata 4,00 (setara 100%) dan tingkat kepuasan mitra juga memperoleh skor 4,00 (100%), yang menandakan materi, pendampingan, dan praktik yang diberikan sangat sesuai dengan kebutuhan guru. Temuan ini mengonfirmasi bahwa kombinasi paparan konsep, latihan terarah, dan pendampingan aplikasi di kelas efektif dalam memperkuat pemahaman dan keterampilan guru. Kesimpulannya, pola workshop–praktik–monitoring dapat dijadikan model replikasi pada sekolah-sekolah di Dili dengan penyesuaian konteks lokal dan dukungan berkelanjutan dari pemangku kepentingan pendidikan.
