Abstract

Along with the rapid pace of development of multi-storey building construction in indonesia, it creates a high risk of work accidents, especially for field, workers therefore the role of controlling the risk of woek accidents is compulsary. Poor implementation of occupational health and safety can damage the occupational health and safety management (OHSM) system in a construction project. So the problem is wich factors are dominant in the application of OHSM in the construction of the Bapelkes building and what is the level of application of OHSM in the construction project. This study aims to analyze the level of implementation of OHSM implementation in the construction of the Bapelkes building. This research method uses quantitative and qualitative approaches through interviews and distributing questionnaires to PT. The work of Mukti Bersaudara as many as 12 people. This study consisted of 9 variables. The result of the validity test of the mean value of r-count of each variable is 0.81 and the r-table value is 0.497, so it fulfills the requirements of r-count> r table. The result of the reliability test on each variable obtained an average value of 0.8 and Cronbach’s Alpha critical value of 0.6, wich is means all variables are declared reliable. The result of the descriptive analysis of the highest mean value were obtained in the factor of development and commitment maintenance (X1) with a value of 4.72, and the last order was obtained the variable (X2) with a value of 4.45. it can be concluded that the very dominant factor in implementing OHSM in Bapelkes building construction projects is the development and maintenance of commitment (X1). The implementation of OHSM in the construction of new dormitory and class building project for the National Health planning Agency (Bapelkes) has been implemented well-planned, measured, and structured, and properly integrated according to the PP. No. 5 of 2012 concerning the occupational health and safety management system, although it has not been fully implemented, it is obtained from the average percentage of application assesment, which is 92.0%

Abstract

Temuan ini memberikan kerangka praktis untuk meningkatkan efisiensi pengadaan dan menawarkan wawasan berharga bagi proyek konstruksi di masa depan yang ingin mengurangi biaya dan meningkatkan keandalan penjadwalan.ABSTRACT: Efficient material inventory management is critical in construction projects to avoid delays, cost overruns, and both shortages and surpluses of materials. This study investigates the optimization of material inventory management using the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) method, focusing on Lot Sizing techniques—Lot for Lot (LFL) and Part Period Balancing (PPB). A case study was conducted on the construction of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Office in Banda Aceh. The research targeted reinforced concrete materials, such as cement, sand, and rebar, which are crucial for the project. Primary data was collected through field observations and interviews, while secondary data was obtained from project documentation, including the Bill of Materials (BOM), schedules, and cost breakdowns. Using MRP, the study calculated material requirements, procurement schedules, and costs for both LFL and PPB techniques. The findings revealed that the LFL technique significantly reduces costs and improves efficiency compared to the PPB method. For the first floor, the LFL technique resulted in a cost saving of approximately 51.9% compared to the PPB method. Similarly, for the second floor, the cost savings were around 72.2%. This study concluded that LFL is the optimal technique for material inventory management in construction projects, ensuring timely availability and minimal storage costs. These findings provided a practical framework for improving procurement efficiency and offered valuable insights for future construction projects seeking to reduce costs and enhance scheduling reliability.

Abstract

The Functional Feasibility Certificate (SLF) is a legal requirement in Indonesia to ensure that buildings meet safety, health, and usability standards before being occupied, especially for public and commercial facilities. This study investigates the low adoption of SLF in public buildings in Banda Aceh, a mid-sized urban center in Indonesia. A qualitative case study approach was applied, involving direct observation and semi-structured interviews at four purposively selected sites: the BSI Landmark Building, Dr. Zainoel Abidin Regional General Hospital (Polyclinic), Kyriad Muraya Hotel, and Suzuya Mall. Results showed that only one building, the BSI Landmark had a valid SLF certificate. The remaining three lacked critical components such as fire doors, smoke detectors, and evacuation plans, despite the presence of basic safety infrastructure. Thematic analysis revealed three dominant barriers to certification: procedural complexity, limited institutional capacity, and low awareness among building managers. These findings highlight the need for streamlined digital certification systems, improved municipal support, and targeted regulatory outreach. The study contributes to the literature on urban safety governance in Indonesia and offers practical insights for strengthening disaster risk resilience and building compliance frameworks in Indonesian cities. Keywords: Functional feasibility certificate, Public building safety, Building regulation
