Abstract

Latar belakang: Seorang pendidik mempunyai tugas untuk selalu mengembangkan diri secara teknik pembelajaran atau penelitian. perkembangan teknologi ternyata belum mampu memberikan hasil yang diharapkan. Sering sekali kita temukan beberapa pendidik atau peneliti diantaranya: 1) masih menggunakan hardcopy sebagai bahan penelitian dan perhitungan, 2) kebanyakan bahan ajar yang digunakan untuk proses media pembelajaran tersaji dalam bentuk text. 3) kurangnya keterampilan seorang pendidik dalam menyampaikan materi berbasis aplikasi software. Tujuan: Program ini dilaksanakan agar para guru dalam membuat media pembelajaran, pengelolaan data, atau penelitian dapat menggunakan aplikasi statistika terutama aplikasi software minitab yang dapat menghasilkan perhitungan otomatis dengan tingkat keakuratan serta penarikan kesimpulan yang lebih akurat. Metode: Salah satu tahap kegiatan program pengenalan dan pelatihan aplikasi software minitab yaitu dilaksanakan dengan beberapa tahap: 1) observasi dan wawancara terkait keterampilan guru-guru dalam pembelajaran dan penelitian menggunakan aplikasi software matematika; 2) pengenalan dan pendampingan penggunaan aplikasi software minitab; 3) praktik dan uji coba pengolahan data menggunakan aplikasi software minitab; 4) membuat media pembelajaran melalui aplikasi software minitab; serta 5) memberikan kuesioner untuk melihat perkembangan setelah pelatihan aplikasi software minitab. Hasil: Melalui program pengenalan dan pelatihan aplikasi software minitab, menunjukkan peserta para guru sudah dapat mengenal dan menggunakannya. Berdasarkan dari hasil pemberian nilai kuesioner, dapat disimpulkan kegiatan pengabdian pengenalan aplikasi software minitab meningkatkan kretivitas para guru dalam menggunakan aplikasi software minitab sebesar 96% dibandingkan dengan sebelum program pengenalan dan pelatihan. Kesimpulan: program pengenalan dan pelatihan aplikasi software minitab yang tepat akan memberikan dampak perkembangan para guru dalam media pembelajaran dan penelitian menggunakan aplikasi. Technological developments have not been able to provide the expected results. Very often we find educators or researchers including: 1) still using hardcopy as material for research and calculations, 2) most of the teaching materials used for the process of learning media are presented in text form. 3) the lack of skills of an educator in delivering material based on software applications. Objective: This program is implemented so that teachers in creating instructional media, data management, or research can use statistical applications, especially the Minitab software application which can produce automatic calculations with a more accurate level of accuracy and draw conclusions. Method: One of the stages of the introduction and training program for Minitab software applications is carried out in several stages: 1) observation and interviews related to the skills of teachers in learning and research using mathematical software applications; 2) introduction and assistance in the use of Minitab software applications; 3) data processing practices and trials using the Minitab software application; 4) create learning media through minitab software applications; and 5) giving a questionnaire to see developments after the Minitab software application training. Result: Through the Minitab software application introduction and training program, it shows that the participants are teachers who are able to recognize and use it. Based on the results of scoring the questionnaire, it can be concluded that the minitab introduction service activity increased the creativity of teachers in using the Minitab software application by 96% compared to before the introduction and training program. Conclusion: the introduction and training program for the proper Minitab software application will have an impact on the development of teachers in learning media and research using applications.   Keywords: learning tools, data management, minitab program

Abstract

The waste accumulation problem is no longer a new problem at Kuta Beach. Various efforts have been made by society and local government to reduce existing pollution. However, these efforts are still unable to reduce the huge rubbish problem at Kuta Beach. The phenomenon of the west wind that sends rubbish from outside Bali and the society’s lack awareness in protecting the environment worsen the beauty of Kuta Beach. This waste problem threatens Kuta Beach in terms of beauty, public health and the biota around it. One effort that can be made to overcome this problem is by carrying out beach clean-up activities around Kuta Beach. This beach clean-up action aims to provide understanding to the local community and tourists about the importance of maintaining cleanliness so that the beauty of Kuta Beach can be enjoyed comfortably. The implementation of this beach clean-up action received the attention of many parties and was attended by 1798 participants consisting of various groups of people from children to adults. The beach clean-up activity was well organized and ran smoothly in accordance with the activity plan that had been prepared.

Abstract

AbstrakPendidikan mempunyai peran yang penting dalam membangun peradaban bangsa demi mewujudkan Indonesia Emas, seperti tertuang dalam 17 target Pembangunan Berkelanjutan. Dalam rangka meningkatkan mutu pendidikan dan profesionalisme guru, salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah melalui Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Agar PTK dapat dilakukan secara objektif, efektif, dan terukur, diperlukan pemahaman yang baik terhadap konsep statistika dan alat bantu pengolah data, seperti SPSS. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan pengetahuan guru MA Kalifa Nusantara Denpasar Bali tentang statistika dan meningkatkan keterampilan dalam menggunakan software SPSS untuk menunjang pelaksanaan PTK. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini yaitu dengan pelatihan yang dilakukan secara luring atau tatap muka yang terdiri dari penyampaian materi berupa ceramah lisan dan praktik pengolahan data dengan software SPSS, dan dievaluasi melalui pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mengolah data dengan statistika deskriptif menggunakan software SPSS dibuktikan dengan pengujian hipotesis rata-rata dua sample berpasangan dengan p-value sebesar 0,025 yang lebih kecil dari taraf signifikan (α) 5%. Kata kunci: pelatihan; SPSS; penelitian tindakan kelas; statistika; pendidikan. AbstractEducation has an important role in building the nation's civilization in order to realize the Golden Indonesia, as stated in the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. In an effort to improve the quality of education and professionalism of teachers, one approach that can be taken is through Classroom Action Research (CAR). To ensure that CAR is conducter objectively, effectively, and measurably, a good understanding of statistical concepts and processing tools such as SPSS is required. This community service activity aims to improve the understanding and knowledge of teachers at  MA Kalifa Nusantara Denpasar Bali, regarding statistics and to improve their skills in using SPSS to support the implementation of CAR. The program was carried out through offline or face-to-face training, consisting of lectures and hands-on data analysis using SPSS, and evaluated through pretest and posttest assessments. The results showed that the training significantly improved teachers’ ability to process data using descriptive statistics with SPSS, as evidenced by a paired sample t test that produced a p-value of 0.025, which is smaller than the 5% significance level (α). Keywords: training; SPSS; classroom action research; statistics; education.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Pembelajaran matematika seringkali dianggap sebagai beban bagi siswa usia sekolah dasar karena penyampaiannya yang abstrak dan kaku. Di sisi lain, lingkungan Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur'an (TPQ) memiliki potensi besar sebagai wadah belajar namun seringkali terbatas pada aspek literasi baca-tulis Al-Qur’an saja. Terdapat kesenjangan pemahaman bahwa matematika dan nilai spiritual adalah dua hal yang terpisah. Tujuan: Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar matematika siswa TPQ melalui pendekatan naratif berbasis kisah-kisah dalam Al-Qur'an, sehingga siswa mampu melihat korelasi antara ilmu agama dan ilmu logika. Metode: Pelaksanaan program menggunakan metode pendampingan interaktif dengan teknik storytelling-based learning. Kegiatan meliputi penyampaian kisah (seperti kisah Ashabul Kahfi dan Bahtera Nabi Nuh), identifikasi unsur numerik dalam kisah tersebut, serta penyelesaian tantangan matematika yang menyenangkan (fun-math challenges). Hasil: Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada aspek motivasi belajar siswa. Berdasarkan observasi dan angket sederhana, siswa menunjukkan antusiasme yang lebih tinggi dari 38.3% menjadi 81% dibandingkan metode konvensional. Siswa mulai memahami konsep waktu, himpunan, dan pengukuran melalui analogi kisah islami, serta hilangnya persepsi negatif terhadap matematika sebagai mata pelajaran yang menakutkan. Kesimpulan: Integrasi kisah Al-Qur'an dalam pembelajaran matematika terbukti efektif menjadi katalisator motivasi belajar siswa TPQ. Direkomendasikan bagi pengelola TPQ untuk menyisipkan materi numerasi berbasis agama dalam kurikulum tambahan, serta pendekatan membangun karakter religius dalam pembelajaran umum. Kata kunci: kisah Al-Qur'an, matematika, motivasi, pendampingan, TPQ _______________________________________________________________________ Abstract Background: Mathematics is often perceived as a burden by elementary school students because of its abstract and rigid presentation. On the other hand, Islamic Non-Formal Education Center (TPQ) environments hold great potential as learning centers but are often limited to Quranic literacy. There is a prevailing gap in understanding in which mathematics and spiritual values are seen as two separate entities. Objective: This community service activity aims to increase the mathematics learning motivation of TPQ students through a narrative approach based on stories from the Quran, enabling students to see the correlation between religious knowledge and logical reasoning. Method: The program was implemented using an interactive mentoring method with storytelling-based learning techniques. Activities included storytelling (such as the stories of Ashabul Kahfi and Noah’s Ark), identifying numerical elements within these stories, and solving "fun-math challenges." Result: The results showed a significant increase in student learning motivation. Based on observations and simple questionnaires, student enthusiasm rose from 38.3% to 81% compared to conventional methods. Students began to grasp concepts of time, sets, and measurement through Islamic story analogies, leading to the erosion of negative perceptions of mathematics as a daunting subject. Conclusion: The integration of Quranic stories into mathematics learning has proven effective as a catalyst for student motivation in TPQ. It is recommended that TPQ administrators incorporate religion-based numeracy materials into supplementary curricula and adopt approaches that build religious character within general subjects. Abstract

The Jalan Pura Demak area in Denpasar City is a location that has great potential for developing Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). MSMEs have a strategic role in the local economy, contributing to job creation, economic growth and poverty alleviation. However, the success of MSMEs is very dependent on factors that influence the level of comfort. This research aims to analyze the comfort level of temperature and humidity and its impact on the activities of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) on Jalan Pura Demak, Denpasar. The research method used is measuring temperature and humidity and calculating the Temperature Humanity Index. Apart from that, this research also used a questionnaire instrument given to MSME owners who were active in the area. Data analysis was carried out using quantitative descriptive statistical techniques. The research results show that the Temperature Humanity Index at each point is not much different. From the three points of temperature and humidity measurement results, it can be seen that the Humanity Index Temperature at point I (SPBU) on the first day was 21.0 (comfortable), on the second day 24.8 (comfortable), and on the third day 24.8 (comfortable). At point II (Tea Poci), for the first day it was 24.8 (comfortable), for the second day it was 25.6 (medium), for the third day it was 25.6 (medium), while at point III (Circle K) on the first day it was 24, 6 (comfortable), second day 24.8 (comfortable) and third day 24.8). Meanwhile, regarding the value of public perception regarding the level of comfort, around 69% of MSME players still feel safe in their MSME area. This percentage of public perception is correlated with the Temperature Humanity Index at each temperature and humidity measurement point. Thus, it can be concluded that the Jalan Pura Demak route in Denpasar City is not yet in the uncomfortable category for MSMEs
