Abstract

Inflation is generally the tendency for the prices of goods and services to rise continuously. An artificial neural network (ANN) is an information processing model that closely resembles how an organism's memory system works, such as information transmission processes in the brain. Forecasting is the activity of determining future events based on past data. A time series is a set of observations that occur consecutively in the correct amount of time based on a time index. The data used in this study are Indonesian monthly inflation data. Extreme Learning Machine (ELM) is an artificial neural network approach that uses a single hidden layer feedforward neural network architecture (SLFN). The advantages of ELM over traditional learning algorithms are learning speed, improved generalization performance, and simplified implementation. An error value of RMSE of 0.1992215 was obtained based on the analysis performed using the Extreme Learning Machine (ELM) method.

Abstract

This study aims to explore patterns of reflective thinking in pre-service teachers’ oral communication during microteaching sessions. It employed a qualitative approach with an exploratory case study design. The participants were sixth-semester students of the Mathematics Education Study Program enrolled in a microteaching course. Data were collected through participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and video documentation of teaching practices, and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings revealed five key patterns: (1) internal selection of main ideas prior to speaking, (2) a tendency to lose the main ideas during elaboration, (3) the significant influence of content mastery on communication structure, (4) limitations in idea development, and (5) irregularities in oral delivery. These patterns suggest that students have not fully engaged in reflective thinking processes when speaking in front of the class. The study concludes that integrating a cognitive-reflective approach into microteaching training is essential to enhance students' ability to manage ideas and construct systematic, meaningful communication. This research contributes to the development of more reflective and idea-focused learning designs for pre-service teacher education.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of the factors that affect the quality of the service employees Local Company (Perusda) South Sulawesi in terms of the various aspects which include; employee competence, leadership, commitment to work, organizational culture, and organisasial structure, and quality of service of employees. The population in this study were all employees of the company in the area of South Sulawesi Perusda four business units, namely a total of 106 people. The results showed that (1) the value of the variable employee competence and commitment are at very high and variable categories of leadership, organizational culture, organizational structure, and quality of service of employees are in the high category, (2) employee competence and a significant positive effect on the quality of service South Sulawesi Perusda employees, (3) leadership but not significant positive effect on the quality of service of employees (4) work commitments and a significant positive effect on the quality of service of employees (5) organizational culture positive and significant impact on the quality of service of employees (6) organizational structure influence positive and significant impact on the quality of service of employees Pusda in South Sulawesi.

Abstract

Nowadays, the teacher should be professional to be able to cultivate varied learning models for every learning subject so that students are not saturated while following the learning process. This paper discusses the improvement of students’ learning activity and learning outcomes through a word square learning model at SMA Negeri 11 Pangkep. It is a classroom action research (PTK). The research subjects involved 33 class XI students. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, tests, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use descriptive analysis. The results indicate that 1) the percentage of students’ learning activity increased each cycle wherein in the first cycle students’ learning activity is in the less active category and increases in cycle II in the very active category. In addition, 2) the completeness of students’ learning outcomes increases every cycle wherein in cycle I it was 33% with an average learning outcome of 66.9 and increases in cycle II at 81% with an average student learning outcome of 85.7. Thus, the application of the word square learning model can increase the activeness and learning outcomes of economics subjects for class XI students at SMA Negeri 11 Pangkep.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a mathematical model of SERH (Susceptible, Engaged, Risk, and Stabilization) to analyze and predict the incidence of early marriage in South Sulawesi Province. The research employs method a combination of theoretical and applied approaches, utilizing differential equations to model the dynamics of early marriage spread. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 400 couples selected using the Slovin technique, representing a population of 57,789 couples. The SERH model parameters, including the rate of couple interaction , transition from engagement to risk , and recovery from risk to stability , were derived from the collected data. Simulations were conducted using Maple software to visualize the spread of early marriage under different scenarios. The results of the analysis revealed two equilibrium points: a marriage-free equilibrium and a stable endemic equilibrium. The basic reproduction number  was calculated to be 3.97, indicating that one couple can influence 3-4 others in their social environment. However, with effective interventions such as education and counseling, the R₀ value can be reduced to 0.45, significantly lowering the spread of early marriage. This study provides valuable insights for policymakers to design targeted prevention programs and highlights the importance of early intervention in reducing the prevalence of early marriage.

Abstract

Stock investment offers returns but also risks, such as potential capital losses due to declining stock prices. To mitigate these risks, investors use forecasting models, and one common approach is time series forecasting. The ARIMA model captures linear patterns in data, while the GARCH model handles time-varying volatility. This study uses a hybrid ARIMA-GARCH model with the Walk-Forward method to predict the daily closing prices of LQ45 index stocks from January 2022 to May 2024, utilizing data from Yahoo Finance. The Walk-Forward approach divides the data into 80% training and 20% testing, ensuring the model is tested on unseen data for more realistic evaluation. The process includes fitting the ARIMA model to stock return data, testing for heteroscedasticity, and building the hybrid ARIMA-GARCH model. The best model, ARIMA(1,0,0) – GARCH(1,1), was selected based on the lowest AIC value of -3004.88 for ARIMA and -6.83 (AIC) and -6.78 (BIC) for GARCH. This research contributes to stock forecasting by applying high-frequency data and the Walk-Forward validation method, offering a more accurate assessment of the model’s performance. It also enriches time series analysis methodology in the Indonesian stock market by combining ARIMA and GARCH models, optimizing model parameters using AIC and BIC criteria for stock price prediction.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh langsung dan pengaruh tidak langsung kemampuan penalaran matematis, kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif terhadap hasil belajar matematika melalui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian expost facto. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan analisis jalur (path analysis). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh SMP Negeri sekecamatan Duampanua yang terdiri dari 5 sekolah. Sampel ditentukan dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling yaitu, SMPN 2 Duampanua dan SMPN 5 Duampanua. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen tes. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata: (1) kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yaitu, 80,85. (2) kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yaitu, 81,30. (3) kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa yaitu, 81,93. (4) kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yaitu, 79,02. (5) hasil belajar matematika siswa yaitu, 79,26. Sedangkan, hasil analisis inferensial menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh langsung kemampuan penalaran matematis, kemampuan berpikir kritis, kemampuan berpikir kreatif, dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis yang positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri sekecamatan Duampanua; (2) terdapat pengaruh tidak langsung kemampuan penalaran matematis, kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif yang positif dan signifikan melalui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri sekecamatan Duampanua; (3) seluruh pengaruh langsung lebih baik daripada seluruh pengaruh tidak langsung dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aimed to develop a flipbook-based personal development information service model and examine the increase in self-awareness of late adolescents as a measure of its effectiveness Research/methodology: This research used development research methods with an ADDIE design model. The instruments used in this study were validation and practicality sheets, model needs analysis questionnaires, self-awareness questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The data processing used in this research was based on the model's validity and practicality, and N-gain test analysis and Paired Sample t-test using SPSS version 24 were also carried out to evaluate effectiveness. Results: The research results obtained are as follows: 1) assessment of the feasibility of the flipbook-based personal development information service model shows a high validity category with an average value of 91%, and its practicality is considered very practical to use with an average value of 87%; 2) assessment of effectiveness, there is a Sig.2 tailed value of 0.000 < 0.025, so Ho is rejected, and Ha is accepted, as well as an increase in the average (Gain) of pre- and post-test data of 0.60, which is classified as a medium criterion. Based on the research results, the developed product model is effective and contributes to increasing self-awareness among high school students in their late adolescence. Conclusions: The flipbook-based personal development information service model is proven to be valid, practical, and effective in enhancing self-awareness among late adolescents. The product development follows the ADDIE framework and meets the criteria of high validity (91%), high practicality (87%), and effectiveness (N-gain = 0.60; Sig. = 0.000), indicating a statistically significant improvement in students' self-awareness. Limitations: This study is limited to high school students in South Tangerang and does not generalize across broader adolescent populations. The implementation relies on digital literacy and access to stable internet, which may not be consistent across various educational contexts. Contribution: This study introduces a validated flipbook-based model that enhances self-awareness in adolescents through accessible and interactive guidance services.

Abstract

SMPN 4 Bontonompo merupakan salah satu SMPN yang berusaha memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dalam metodologi pengajarannya. Mereka tertarik untuk mengadopsi layanan G Suite for Education untuk E-learning. SMPN 4 Bontonompo bekerja sama dengan Fakultas Matematika dan Sains (FMIPA) UNM mengadakan workshop pengenalan G Suite for Education, migrasi dan penyiapan email institusi, serta workshop pelatihan Google Classroom. Layanan ini dilakukan dalam 2 tahap. Fase pertama adalah menyiapkan email sekolah berdasarkan G Suite untuk Pendidikan dan fase kedua adalah pelatihan Google Kelas untuk guru. Dengan menerapkan layanan baru, semua guru dan siswa sekolah dapat menggunakan layanan terintegrasi dari Google, termasuk Google Classroom. Setelah layanan ini, para pengajar dapat mulai menggunakan Google Classroom untuk meningkatkan efisiensi pengajaran di sekolah dan memudahkan setiap siswa untuk mengakses konten karena dapat diakses kapan pun dan di mana pun. Para guru juga puas dengan pelatihan tersebut

Abstract

Clustering is something that is used to analyze data in machine learning, data mining, pattern engineering, image analysis, and bioinformatics. To produce the information needed for a data analysis using the clustering process, this is because the data has a large variety and amount. Researchers will use the K-Prototype method where this method becomes an efficient and effective algorithm in processing mixed-type data. The K-Prototype algorithm has problems in finding the best number of clusters. So, in this paper, researchers will conduct research by finding the best number of clusters in the K-Prototype method. There are many ways to determine this, one of which is the Elbow method. The determination of this method is seen from the SSE (Sum Square Error) graph of several number of clusters. The results of the clustering formed 2 clusters which were considered optimal based on the value of k that experienced the greatest decrease. The results showed that Cluster 1 is a cluster that has characteristics of people's welfare which is better than Cluster 2
