This study aims to determine the main problem in utilizing Waqf for infrastructure development in Indonesia from regulatory dimension, management dimension, program dimension, and literacy dimension. The data analysis technique used in this study is Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). This study has five experts to deliver their perspective regarding problems and solutions for infrastructure development using productive Waqf in Indonesia. The study results indicate that the severe problem in utilizing productive Waqf for infrastructure in Indonesia based on experts' agreement is the Lack of professional waqf (nazhir) management in managing waqf assets. With increasing the professionalism of nazhir in the management of productive Waqf, the waqf assets are expected to grow gradually that can be used to develop and improve infrastructure in Indonesia. Lastly, the excellent management of Waqf will be able to attract the Muslim community's intention to donate.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyze factors which predict zakāh compliance behavior using attitude towards zakāh and intention to pay zakāh as independent variables. This study uses the theory of planned behavior (TPB) as a theoretical framework. Quantitative approach is used with partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) as data analysis technique based on a questionnaire survey of 90 zakāh payers (muzakki) in Bandung which is one of the districts in Indonesia. Results show that attitude towards zakāh has a positive impact significantly on intention to pay zakāh and intention to pay zakāh has a positive impact significantly on zakāh compliance behavior. Zakāh compliance behavior is found to be not directly affected by attitude towards zakāh but indirectly affected through intention in paying zakāh. Therefore, the theory of planned behavior shows suitability in both theory and practice in the zakāh cases. The results of study are expected to contribute new insight for zakāh fund management, particularly in the majority-Muslim countries, through improving zakāh compliance behavior. All parties, especially government and zakāh institutions, should pay attention seriously to these variables to optimize zakāh collection in the future.

This research utilized a quantitative approach, an online survey was distributed to 350 MSMEs owners. The data collected from the participants were subjected to Structural Equations Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) analysis, enabling a thorough examination of the variables under investigation. The results show that the variable of word of mouth and perceived ease of use have positive and significant impact on perceived usefulness. In addition, the variable of trust and perceived usefulness influence attitude significantly. This study also indicates that attitude affects intention to use Islamic fintech significantly. Then, the Attitude mediates the relationship between perceived usefulness and trust and Intention to use Islamic fintech. Abstract

This study aims to compare the effectiveness of Islamic and conventional monetary policies in addressing inflation in Indonesia. This research is driven by the lack of comprehensive examination of the effectiveness and nuances of the dual monetary system. Additionally, the dynamics of dual monetary policies become the research gap that needs to be addressed for a more nuanced understanding of Indonesia's monetary landscape. Using the Vector Autoregression/Vector Error Correction Model and analyzing time series data from January 2013 to December 2021, the research reveals that neither sharia nor conventional instruments have immediate effects on inflation. However, specific sharia financial instruments substantially impact inflation dynamics in the long term. The study delves into the intricate relationship between these monetary instruments and inflation, shedding light on their nuanced contributions to the economic landscape. This comprehensive analysis contributes valuable insights for policymakers, economists, and stakeholders seeking a nuanced understanding of the dynamics between monetary policy and inflation in Indonesia.
