Abstract

Many parents are not aware about their children talent. So, their children can?t excel based on their talent. To know their talent, they usually consult with the psychologist by doing talent test. This paper will help the parent to discover their children talent based on USOE standard by build an expert system with implementation of Rete Algorithm. This expert system is built on web based with Django Framework and Python programming language. We use Rete Algorithm because in the previous research, Rete Algorithm can improve the accuracy and give the efficiency by doing the matching process of facts.   Keywords : Child?s Talent, Expert System, Rete Algorithm, USOE Standard

Abstract

Initially regarded for entertainment purposes only, games have now evolved as a medium for learning. This research’s purpose is to investigate the effects of playing puzzle games towards leaning mathematics. This research uses the quantitative method through distributing questionnaires with senior high school and university students from Batam City as the target population. Linear regression technique is used for analyzing data. Results from this research indicate the variable challenge, engagement, and skill significantly affect the perceived learning of mathematics. This research concludes that puzzle games need to be challenging, fun, and interesting to increase the perceived learning of mathematics effectively. Skill in playing puzzle games could also improve the perceived learning in mathematics. Hence the players will increase their intuition and logical problem-solving ability.

Abstract

Background: The literature on early-onset colorectal cancer (EOCRC) reveals a complex interplay of symptoms, diagnostic challenges, and the need for increased awareness among both patients and healthcare providers. The systematic review by (Mitchell et al., 2007) underscores the necessity of recognizing red flag symptoms such as rectal bleeding and changes in bowel habits, as these are critical for timely diagnosis and intervention. The study highlights that delays in diagnosis can lead to more advanced disease stages, emphasizing the importance of patient education regarding the seriousness of these symptoms. Literature Review: Further investigations, such as those by (Renzi et al., 2016), reveal that many patients present with significant symptoms well before their diagnosis, indicating a gap in timely medical consultation. The findings suggest that abdominal pain and rectal bleeding are prevalent among emergency presentations, yet many patients do not receive timely evaluations, leading to missed opportunities for early intervention. The exploration of risk factors by (R Syed et al., 2019) highlights the challenges faced by younger patients, who often misinterpret their symptoms, resulting in substantial delays in seeking medical attention. This trend is echoed in the study from Indonesia by (Makmun et al., 2021), which notes that abdominal pain is the most common presenting symptom among early-onset CRC patients. The demographic characteristics presented in this study further emphasize the need for targeted screening and awareness initiatives.. Conclusion: In conclusion, the literature collectively emphasizes the critical need for heightened awareness and education regarding the red flag signs and symptoms of early-onset colorectal cancer. There is a clear call for improved diagnostic protocols and screening strategies to enhance early detection and treatment outcomes for this vulnerable population. Addressing both patient and healthcare provider awareness is essential to mitigate delays in diagnosis and improve prognosis for young patients with EOCRC

Abstract

This paper presents a case study of diaphragm wall behavior in a deep excavation project under double-wall condition. A double-wall condition occurs when two layers of diaphragm wall, either side by side or with gaps between them, are used as a retaining wall system. The project discussed in this paper is located in a soft clay area of Jakarta, Indonesia, with a main excavation depth of approximately 33 meter and a side excavation depth of 23 meter. The project utilizes the top-down construction method, where the retaining walls for both the main and side structures are initially built before the excavation begins, creating the double wall condition. However, due to site issues, main excavation activities commenced after the construction of the main structure wall but before the side structure wall was completed, changing the plan to a single-wall condition. The behavior of the main structure wall under both single-wall and double-wall condition is studied. The study simulated two separate FEM models to evaluate the sequence of construction up to the final excavation level of the main station. According to the analysis result, single wall condition has relatively larger deformation than double wall condition. However, the wall bending moment did not change much, meaning that double-wall did not contribute effectively towards providing higher stiffness. The results contradict the initial assumption that the double-wall condition would be more advantageous for the main structure wall design than single-wall condition. Several critical parameters were found to significantly influence the outcome. The findings of this case study can provide valuable insights for the preliminary design of future excavation projects.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of obtaining empirical evidence regarding the effect of Profitability, Sales Growth, and Company Size on Firm Value with Capital Structure as an intervening variable in property sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2019-2021. The sample used in this study is secondary data which was selected using the purposive sampling method and obtained a sample of 51 companies. In this study, the application used is the SmartPLS 4.0.8.4 program. The results in this study indicate that profitability, sales growth, and company size have no significant effect on firm value, profitability, and sales growth have no significant effect on capital structure, company size, and capital structure have a significant effect on capital structure, capital structure unable to mediate the relationship between profitability, sales growth, and company size on firm value.
