Abstract

Indonesia is the second largest exporter of seaweed in the world. It has a promising availability and capacity of producing bioethanol from seaweed. Euchema cottonii is abundantly available in theIndonesian sea which contains high carbohydrate concentration for bioethanol production. This research studied the effect of sulfuric acid concentration for hydrolysis at 121oC and the concentration of cellulase enzyme at different reaction time. The results showed that the best treatment was 1% (v/v) sulfuric acid hydrolysis for 60 min and enzymatic hydrolisis of 5% (v/v) for 12 hours. The reducing sugar content was 5.06% w/v, ethanol yield was 0,55% b/v and fermentation efficiency was 23.47%.Keywords: E. cottonii, acid hydrolysis, enzymatic hydrolysis, bioethanol

Abstract

Pyrolysis which is also called thermolysis will chemically decompose organic matter (biomass) through a heating process without or little O2 or other reagents, where the raw material will undergo a breakdown of the chemical structure into a gas phase. The purpose of this study is as an alternative solution in answering the problem of fuel scarcity in everyday life, & Knowing the amount of activation energy calculated using the Flynn Wall Ozawa method. The biomass used is Dutch teak sawdust obtained from the wood furniture industry in the Tangerang area.The experimental results of pyrolysis of Dutch teak sawdust with round gas opening from experiment 1 to experiment 9 obtained BCO as much as 6.00%, 6.50%, 6.83%, 7.33%, 7.67%, 8 ,83%, 10.17%, 14.33%,16.33%. . While the results of the round gas opening experiment from experiment 1 to experiment 9, BCO was obtained as much as5.67%, 6.17%, 6.67%, 7.17%, 7.33%, 7.83%, 9.67%, 13.83%, 15.83%. The pyrolysis process produces three types of products, namely solid products or charcoal, liquid products (bio-oil) & gas. In our research, the best quality bio oil obtained at temperatures from 548 K to 598 K. The results of bio The oil obtained at this temperature is brownish yellow in color, with an average volume of ± 48 g of bio oil (52.6 ml).

Abstract

Aktivitas kegiatan melukis dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu cara untuk mengukur kemampuan imaginasi dan tingkat kreativitas pada anak namun permasalahan saat ini banyak yang kurang tertarik minat anak karena standar penilaian hanya pada mata pelajaran bidang lainnya, padahal subsektor seni rupa Indonesia memiliki potensi besar baik secara kualitas, kuantitas, pelaku kreatif, produktivitas, hingga potensi pasar.Sehingga kegiatan melukis dengan cat air ini bertujuan selain mengembangkan imaginasi dan kreatifitas anak sedari kecil melalui pengenalan ragam karya seni rupa Indonesia, juga nantinya dapat mengangkat nama Indonesia ke mata dunia dan menjadi sumber devisa kebudayaan yang bernilai tinggi. Media cat air adalah Media Lukis dengan teknik menggunakan sesikit warna dan air yang banyak, sehingga lukisan dengan teknik ini cenderung bersifar transparat atau • Peluang ini dapat menjadi lukisan memberi efek bergradasi baik dalam perbedaan intensitas ataupun dengan warna yang berbeda di Taman Alamanda Bekasi. Hasil yang didapat anak-anak dapat menampilkan visual lukis tema pemandangan alam Indonesia dengan mengggunakan teknik menggunakan cat air. Kesimpulan dari pengenalan kegiatan melukis pada anak-anak dimana Seni Rupa menjadi standar penilaian masyarakat internasional, dan menjadi ukuran kemajuan peradaban budaya sebuah bangsa sehingga perlu dilakukan edukasi pada anak anak untuk meningkatkan kreativitasnya serta mau mengembangkan bidang senirupa khususnya melukis dengan cat air dengan terus dilatih melalui kegiatan melukis.

Abstract

Metal soap pyrolysis is an attractive route for green gasoline fuel production because it is a straightforward process with no hydrogen supply needed and is operated under a pressure atmosphere. Pyrolysis of soap made from oleic acid is carried out via the catalytic route in a Py-GC reactor. Bivalent metals such as Zn, are evaluated as catalysts in pyrolysis. The preparation of a mixture of oleic acid: NaOH: Zn metal was studied at a concentration of 1:1:1. Thermal stability analysis of pyrolysis was studied at a temperature of 250oC with a heating rate of 10, 20, 40oC/min. This research aimed to figure out the characteristics of the relationship between raw materials, metal soap, and the bio-hydrocarbon products produced. Experimental results show that Zn metal can supply good temperature stability during the pyrolysis heat degradation process. Zn metal also can act as a catalyst, helping the decarboxylation reaction of oleic acid to become short-chain bio-hydrocarbons. The yield of short-chain bio-hydrocarbons C9-C18 was 0.04-7.33%w/w, meanwhile, long-chain bio-hydrocarbons reached 48.07%w/w. The presence of oxygenate compounds is due to the low quality of the raw materials. A decrease in the quality of raw materials can be caused by poor handling and storage of oleic acid as evaluated by large saponification, acid, and peroxide numbers. Abstract

Pengecatan merupakan suatu proses pelapisan warna terhadap permukaan benda dalam bentuk cair atau bubuk. Dalam pengecatan rangka sepeda motor matic metode yang digunakan berupa cathodic electrodeposition coating, penggunaan metode ini bertujuan agar cat yang menempel pada rangka sepeda motor memiliki ketebalan yang sama. Daya rekat cat yang menempel pada rangka sepeda motor matic yang berbahan dasar baja (steel) dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa hal seperti pH larutan cat, kemampuan tidak menguap cat dan kuat arus listrik pada tangki cat. Untuk menentukan faktor yang paling mempengaruhi ketebalan cat dapat menggunakan metode statistic regresi linear berganda menggunakan microsoft excel 2019. Berdasarkan metode yang digunakan diperoleh persamaan Y=69,9000+8,0647P-0,0504Q+ 0,0203R±1,3575. Melalui uji t student dan uji simultan (uji F) dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 5% maka didapatkan hipotesis bahwa kuat arus listrik merupakan faktor yang paling mempengaruhi ketebalan cat pada rangka sepeda motor

Abstract

The Sejahtera Forest Farmers Group (KTH) was established to improve the welfare of the community in Kretek Village, Taman Krocok Subdistrict, Bondowoso Regency. This KTH manages robusta coffee plantations with an annual yield of 500-800 kg. However, for 11 years, the land has not been fertilized, resulting in decreased soil productivity and coffee bean quality. To address this issue, pyrolysis technology was introduced to utilize coffee husk waste. This technology produces biochar, which can enhance soil fertility, bind pollutants, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. It also produces liquid smoke that can be used as an antimicrobial agent and food preservative. The goal of this activity is to help the community turn coffee husk waste into a valuable product. The method used is participatory rural appraisal, which includes introducing innovations to process coffee husk waste into biochar and liquid smoke, designing and building the equipment, and conducting hands-on practice involving the Sejahtera KTH members. The results of this community service activity show an increase in the knowledge and skills of forest farmers in making biochar and liquid smoke using pyrolysis technology, from 30% to 90%. Overall, this community service program has fostered enthusiasm for utilizing coffee husk waste and enhanced the cohesion of the Sejahtera KTH.
