Abstract

The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum requires teaching materials that align with learning objectives, student characteristics, and school conditions; therefore, the feasibility of printed and digital teaching materials needs to be analyzed. This study aims to compare the feasibility of these formats in fourth-grade learning at SDN 002/VI Bangko based on content, language, presentation, graphics, facilities, and teacher practices. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving one teacher as the informant, while data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and triangulation. The results indicate that printed teaching materials are considered feasible and serve as the primary learning resource because they provide equitable access, are easy to use, can be reused, and do not depend on devices or internet connectivity, while digital materials are feasible as supplementary resources for concept visualization and stimulus variation, although their use remains limited. In conclusion, neither format is absolutely superior, as printed materials provide a foundation for accessibility and learning structure, whereas digital materials enhance visualization and learning variety; therefore, their selection should be flexible, contextual, complementary, and adapted to classroom needs.

Abstract

This research was motivated by low student learning discipline and Civics learning outcomes that did not meet the Learning Objective Achievement Criteria (KKTP). Of the 66 students, only 28 (42%) achieved completion. This is due to a lack of student discipline in learning. Civics learning outcomes are influenced not only by cognitive factors but also by students' mental attitudes toward learning, one of which is learning discipline. This study aims to determine the relationship between learning discipline and Civics learning outcomes in fourth-grade students at SDN 255 Sungai Kapas. This study is a quantitative correlation study. The population of the study was all 66 fourth-grade students. Data collection on learning discipline was conducted using a questionnaire with a Likert scale, while data on Civics learning outcomes were obtained through documentation of final-semester exam scores. Hypothesis testing was conducted using the Pearson Product-Moment correlation test. Research Results: Based on data analysis, a correlation coefficient (rxy) of 0.312 was obtained. The results of the hypothesis test showed that the p-value was <0.05, thus the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. The contribution of the learning discipline variable to Civics learning outcomes was 9.7% (Coefficient of Determination), while the remaining 90.3% was influenced by other factors. Based on the hypothesis, Ha indicates a relationship between learning discipline and Civics learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN 255 Sungai Kapas. Therefore, it can be concluded that learning discipline significantly contributes to the achievement of Civics learning outcomes in fourth-grade students at SDN 255 Sungai Kapas in the 2025/2026 academic year.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aimed to determine the effect of using instructional video media on students' learning interest in mathematics among fourth-grade students at SDN 292/VI Sungai Lalang in the 2025/2026 academic year. The study was motivated by the low level of students' learning interest in mathematics, as indicated by their lack of enthusiasm and participation during learning activities that were still dominated by textbooks, worksheets, and lecture methods. This research employed a quantitative approach using a descriptive quantitative method. The population consisted of all 22 fourth-grade students of SDN 292/VI Sungai Lalang selected through total sampling. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires to measure the use of instructional video media and students' learning interest. The data were analyzed using a 3×3 contingency table and the Chi-Square (χ²) test. The results showed that the calculated χ² value of 22.34 was higher than the χ² table value of 9.488 at the 5% significance level; therefore, the alternative hypothesis was accepted. The contingency coefficient value of 0.71 indicated a strong relationship between the use of instructional video media and students' learning interest. It can be concluded that the use of instructional video media has a significant effect and a strong relationship with students' learning interest in mathematics among fourth-grade students at SDN 292/VI Sungai Lalang in the 2025/2026 academic year. Keywords: instructional video media, learning interest, mathematics, elementary school.

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has created new opportunities to enhance the quality of learning in elementary schools. This study aims to analyze the use of AI as a learning tool by teachers at SD Negeri 02/III Sungai Tutung. A qualitative, descriptive research approach was employed. Research informants included the school principal and teachers, selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation, while data analysis utilized the interactive model proposed by Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, comprising data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that teachers have utilized various AI applications—such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Canva AI—to compile teaching modules, develop learning materials, create assessment instruments, and source learning content. The use of AI offers benefits such as time efficiency, enhanced teacher creativity, and the presentation of more engaging learning materials, thereby supporting a more innovative learning process. However, the use of AI faces several challenges, including varying levels of teacher digital literacy, limited internet access, and the need to verify AI-generated information. Therefore, the use of AI requires support through improved teacher digital competence, adequate technological infrastructure, and the application of ethical principles to ensure it optimally enhances the quality of learning in elementary schools.
