Abstract

ABSTRACT  This study will employ experimental research; quasi-experimental research by factorial 2x2 and posttest-only control group designs. The data will be analyzed by quantitative method. The data collected by using video where each of students asked to record their activity and conversation with native speaker. Then the data will be analyzed by using SPSS 19.0 of t-test. In finding out the result and the causes, the researcher decided to do some steps. First, researcher introduces the purpose of benchmarking Strategy to students. Second, apply the concept of 5W2H to answer some questions started by Who, What, When, Where and Why and two others how and how much. It means that the students should asked native speaker about some questions by using those words questions. Third, record their activities during implementation of English Specific Purpose.  Fourth, make a report about those activities. In order to improve their ability in speaking, English Department Program of STKIP YPM Bangko asked them to follow implementation of English for Specific Purpose for tourism, one of the requirements are they should pass the course of English for Specific Purpose in previous semester. Key words: Speaking Ability, Benchmarking Strategy

Abstract

Access to quality education is a fundamental right of every citizen and is guaranteed by the 1945 Constitution of Indonesia. To realize education that is both character-driven and aligned with local cultural values, structured regulations and appropriate policies are required to ensure alignment with established educational frameworks. This community service activity aims to explore and strengthen the collaboration between local government and higher education institutions in formulating strategies to sustainably improve the quality of human resources (HR). A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, gathering insights and perspectives from key stakeholders directly involved in the education sector. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, involving representatives from local government, education practitioners, academics, members of the Islamic Students Association (HMI) Bangko Branch, students from Universitas Merangin and IAI Syeh Maulana Qory, as well as independent local journalists. The involvement of various sectors was intended to enrich the discourse and produce applicable solutions to existing educational challenges. The findings highlight the need for synergy among all stakeholders to establish an inclusive, adaptive, and competitive education system. Through this collaborative approach, it is expected that the development of superior, creative, and globally competitive human resources can be achieved. This activity emphasizes the importance of transforming the education system by strengthening the collective role of all parties involved in order to respond effectively to the demands of globalization and societal change.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is very important in advancing the economy. The ratio of the number of entrepreneurs in Indonesia is still 3.47 percent. When compared with neighbouring countries, such as Singapore at 8.76 percent, Malaysia at 4.74 percent, and Thailand at 4.26 percent. For this reason, it is necessary to increase the readiness of the younger generation, especially students, in entrepreneurship. The aim of the research is to examine the influence of literacy and intention through motivation on the entrepreneurial readiness of Merangin University students. This research uses a quantitative approach with a correlational survey method to test the influence between variables. A total of 285 students were sampled. This research data was tested using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). The research results show that: 1) literacy, intention, motivation influence students' entrepreneurial readiness; 2) literacy, intention influences students' entrepreneurial motivation; 3) motivation cannot mediate the relationship between literacy and students' entrepreneurial readiness; 4) motivation can mediate the relationship between intentions and students' entrepreneurial readiness. This research encourages changes in higher education policies. The findings of this research are that knowledge and skills and entrepreneurial spirit can strengthen entrepreneurial readiness and the need for implementing entrepreneurial practices for students.

Of the 191 questionnaires distributed, 122 were returned. There are 4 questionnaires that are not filled out completely, so there are 118 questionnaires that can be processed in this study. The analytical method used in this research is Variant-based SEM using SmartPLS Software. From the results of testing the proposed hypothesis, it shows that motivation is not able to act as a mediation in the evaluation of managerial performance evaluation. Keywords:Managerial Performance, Budget Evaluation, Motivation
