Abstract

The openness of government data is considered essential and is an influential innovation in society to prevent corruption by increasing the transparency of information and data. One of the drivers for the emergence of Open Government Data (OGD) is the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era, which has influenced all aspects of life with all technological advances. Society needs open information to support and monitor the running of Government. However, it still needs to be determined whether the published OGD data is actual data or only data presented to cancel obligations to protect certain powers. From here, the author wants to conduct a study on OGD parameters using the Eisenhower matrix after reviewing several experts in the telecommunications sector as a basis for identifying parameters for the openness of information and government data in Indonesia. From the results of the analysis that we have carried out, it is found that government support is the highest parameter, followed by other parameters, namely policy, data transparency in the OGD portal, and the participation of citizens as the most crucial support in supporting the implementation of quality and quality OGD data publication in Indonesia. So, the final aim of this study is to provide a future view for all policies that will be made by the Government related to OGD to include all parameters that support data transparency that can be used optimally by the general public so that actual data publication is achieved that does not protect authority or specific power.

Abstract

Flights are projected to reach eight billion globally by 2037, demanding airport operators manage operations effectively, including safety on the runway due to the high number of aircraft movements. One crucial issue is any foreign object, commonly known as foreign object debris (FOD), that must be detected and cleaned immediately to ensure aircraft safety when taking off, landing, and taxing. The International Civil Aircraft Organization (ICAO) reported that FOD causes 10.08% of aviation accidents. Most airports manually monitor and detect FOD, which could be more effective and dangerous. Therefore, it is important to provide FOD detection systems with proper technologies. Radar technologies are potential FOD detection techniques that offer robustness to weather fluctuation. However, some factors must be considered properly to provide an effective FOD system. This paper reviews radar technologies for FOD detection on airport runways by considering factors, including types of debris, detection coverage, mode of radars, frequencies, and attenuation. It was found that all critical factors considered contribute to the quality of detection. This paper will provide guidelines for developing FOD detection based on radar technologies regarding airport necessities and its specific environment.

Abstract

Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan bahwa anti-phase coupler memiliki nilai phase unbalance dibawah 1°, amplitude unbalance dibawah 0,6 dB dan untuk double balanced mixer memiliki nilai conversion loss (CL) sebesar 9,58 dB.Kata kunci: Coupler, Matched Mixer, IQ Mixer, Synthetic Aperture Radar ABSTRACTIQ Mixer is an important component in the RF Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) subsystem that plays a role in carrying out the single side band modulation process between the quadrature base chirp (IF) signal and the carrier (LO) signal, thereby reducing the workload of the Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) and increasing the resolution of SAR systems. IQ Mixer is composed of a Quadrature LO Phase Shifter, two Matched Mixers, and a Power Combiner-splitter. This research describes the process of designing a matched mixer, which is made using an anti-phase coupler and a double-balanced mixer configuration. The anti-phase coupler is a modified version of the quadrature coupler to avoid interference due to crossing transmission lines. The measurement results show that the anti-phase coupler has a phase unbalance value below 1°, an amplitude unbalance below 0.6 dB, and the double-balanced mixer has a conversion loss value of 9.58 dB. Abstract

Communication is a fundamental human need that occurs directly or through technologies like telephones and signal transmitters such as BTS and satellites. Satellites, including Starlink, serve as additional solutions for internet access needs, particularly in remote areas, albeit higher costs remain a factor necessitating conventional BTS infrastructure development. Telecommunication operators face challenges in constructing BTS in areas with limited access and complex financial considerations due to low demand in rural areas, requiring careful planning. This study utilizes several supporting variables with the aid of machine learning techniques such as Linear Regression, SVR, Random Forest, and Gradient Boosting to forecast BTS requirements. Comparative analysis shows that the random forest machine learning method provides the best modeling results compared to linear regression, Gradient Boosting, and SVR methods. Despite the superior performance of the random forest method, further fine-tuning is still needed through parameter adjustments and evaluation of variables used to achieve an even better model. The modeling results can be utilized to predict the BTS infrastructure needs in IKN, estimated at 61,135 units. In BTS development planning, mobile operators can collaborate both among themselves and with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) utilizing satellite media. Utilizing shared towers can be an option for cost-efficient BTS infrastructure development.

Abstract

Phased array antennas are essential in modern communication systems, particularly within the Ku-band, which is widely used for satellite communications and radar applications due to its high data rate capabilities. This paper explores the radiation characteristics of Ku-band microstrip antennas arranged in diamond, octagonal, and circular arrays, focusing on uniform excitation to ensure consistency across evaluations. Using CST Microwave Studio 2024 for simulations, the study found that the rectangular array provides the highest gain and narrowest beamwidth, making it suitable for applications where directional accuracy is critical. However, this configuration also resulted in higher sidelobe levels, which can be problematic in environments where minimal interference is required. The diamond array, while exhibiting lower gain, achieved superior sidelobe suppression, making it ideal for scenarios where reducing interference is prioritized over maximizing directivity. The octagonal and circular arrays provided balanced performance across all metrics, offering versatile options for various operational needs. These results provide valuable guidance for optimizing phased array designs to meet specific requirements in Ku-band applications.

Abstract

Abstract

Kata kunci: Generasi Gestur, Interaksi Manusia-Komputer, Ukuran Dialog ABSTRACTWhile previous gesture generation studies have highlighted the benefits of deep learning-based approaches for generating human-like gestures, these often require large datasets and intensive computation. Our model differentiates between short and long dialogues, generating context-specific gestures for short exchanges (e.g., greetings, farewells, agreement/disagreement) and emotionbased gestures for longer dialogues (neutral, happy, aggressive). We compare the system's performance against ground truth gestures, random gestures, and idling gestures using metrics from the GENEA Challenge. This approach aims to provide a more efficient alternative to deep learning models. Our findings are expected to contribute to the development of more engaging, responsive virtual assistants, improving user comprehension in human-computer interaction. Keywords: Gesture Generation, Human-Computer Interaction, Dialogue Size

Abstract

Kata kunci: fiber, RoF, millimeter, fronthaul ABSTRACTAdvanced cellular networks need high capacity and low latency in fronthaul that can be supported by radio over fiber (RoF) with millimeter waves. However, dispersion is one problem in maintaining transmission quality. This research studies EDFA and FBG components to increase transmission performance in a millimeter wave-RoF system using Optisystem for 5G fronthaul by considering the Q factor and the Bit Error Rate (BER). EDFA improves performance with a 16 Gbps peak bit rate for 1 km, which meets D-RAN fronthaul standards. Improvement increase using FBG for a bit rate of 16 Gbps provided better performances starting from a distance of 4 km, up to 97.99 percent, compared to configurations without FBG. It shows that the dispersion influences the system performance more than the attenuation seen from the BER discrepancy average of 6.6280e-04 when the FBG is added with EDFA. This research indicates two techniques have improved the system's performance. Keywords: fiber, RoF, millimeter, fronthaul

Abstract

This research proposes the design of a microstrip antenna for satellite communication that operates at C-Band frequency. The antenna is made of FR4 material with a thickness of 1.6 mm and has a permittivity of 4.4. The target C-Band frequency that can operate is in the range of 3.7 GHz - 8 GHz. To achieve this wide bandwidth, the defected ground structure (DGS) method is used which cuts the ground area under the substrate. Furthermore, to increase the antenna gain, the method of adding parasitic elements arranged in series (series parasitic) located at the top of the patch. The antenna design begins by designing the antenna in the DGS model and adding three parasitic elements where the basic shape of the parasitic elements has the same dimensions as the antenna patch. Then the development is created using a quarter of the patch dimensions which are added with nine parasitic elements. The simulation results show that the antenna with nine parasitic elements has an antenna bandwidth of 5.292 GHz in the range of 3.214 GHz - 8.506 GHz, where the maximum gain obtained is 8.6 dBi. While the development of an antenna with nine parasitic quarter-size patches has a bandwidth of 6.126 GHz in the frequency range of 3.344 GHz - 9.47 GHz with a maximum gain of 8.04 dBi. Therefore, it can be concluded that this research that designs antennas with the DGS method and series parasitic can operate at C-Band frequencies and can be applied to satellite communications.

Abstract

Labuan Bajo and Komodo National Park (KNP) are the government's agendas in the tourism sector by making the area a premium tourist destination. On that basis, the tourism potential of the region requires infrastructure development to support this plan. One of the critical infrastructures is telecommunications, where the region does not have a direct fiber-optic line. In this paper, the authors propose two scenarios design of fiber-optic networks that also consider the potential for an upward fault earthquake in the northern waters of Labuan Bajo and KNP. The design is analyzed using calculation results of the power link budget, rise time, bit error rate (BER), and Signal to Noise Ratio. The BER value obtained is 5.63 x 10-13, which is still below the parameter threshold of 10-12 with a design that avoids the epicenter of the disaster and a longer route. The SNR value on the longest route (route 7) is 34.69 dB. The SNR value has met the SNR standard, which is 21.5 dB.
