Abstract

Artikel ini membahas bagaimana efektifitas kepemimpinan lembaga pendidikan Islam konteks pesantren (khususnya di Jawa). Pesantren merupakan lembaga pendidikan Islam yang memiliki perbedaan yang sangat mencolok dibandingkan dengan lembaga pendidikan Islam selainnya. Diantara perbedaan tersebut ialah fenomena perilaku kepemimpinan yang dianut oleh pesantren, dimana kepemimpinan pesantren sangat terkesan ottoriter-patternalistik, yaitu kepemimpinan yang semua keputusannya terpusat pada fatwa seorang kyai dan hubungan kyai dan bawahan menunjukkan sifat kekerabatan. Kerangka teoritik sebagai pisau analisis dalam artikel ini adalah pendekatan manajerial grid, dimana kepemimpinan berkecenderungan pada dua hal, yakni hasil produksi di satu pihak dan kelompok organisasi di pihak lain. Perilaku kepemimpinan yang dijalankan oleh seorang pemimpin pesantren cenderung menggunakan model kepemimpinan ini tergolong pada perilaku kepemimpinan yang cenderung rendah perhatiannya pada hasil sekaligus rendah perhatiannya pada kekompakan anggota. Sehingga secara rasional perilaku kepemimpinan ini sangat kurang efektif.

Abstract

Artikel ini berusaha memotret konstruksi seks education (pendidikan seks) di pondok Pesantren Al Mahrusiyah Lirboyo Kediri. Mulai dari bagaimana persepsi dan pemahaman santri tentang seks, kurikulum dan metode pembelaran seks. Penting kiranya tradsi pendidikan seks di pesantren menjadi sebuah studi. Hal ini dikarenakan pesantren juga merupakan lembaga pendidikan yang juga mengajarkan kesehatan reproduksi perspektif ulama salaf yang terdapat dalam kitab kuning. Studi ini menggunakan metode penelitian Kualitatif yang dibarengi dengan pendekatan fenomenologi sehingga penelitian ini diberharapkan bisa membarikan informasi secara luas ten tang Seks Education di pondok pesantren HM Putri Al Mahrusiyah Lirboyo Kediri. Temuan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa; pertama pemahaman tentang Seks Education bagi santri masih tabu untuk dibicarakan, karena pemahaman santri tentang seks education sangat sempit hanya sebatas pada perihal hubungan intim manusia antar lawan jenis. Kedua materi Seks Education di Pondok Pesantren Putri Lirboyo Al-Mahrusiyah dapat dikelompokkan kedalam dua jenis, yaitu; formal yang terdapat dalam materi pembelajaran madrasah diniyah, dan non formal melalui kegiatan pembelajaran selain madrasah diniyah. Ketiga metode seks education di Pondok Pesantren Putri Al-Mahrusiyah masih menggunakan tradisi pembelajaran yang selama ini diantut oleh pesantren salaf, yaitu; bandongan, sorogan, dan halaqohan.

Abstract

The focus of this article is to discuss how the conception of a woman's position according to M. Quraish Shihab in his book "Tafsir al Misbah". The writing of this article is motivated by the fact that society today still positions women in a marginal position, despite the fact that many Moslems thinkers argue that women have the same dignity as men. And even among certain (urban) communities, women have become drivers of social, economic and political change. But understanding the Indonesian people (especially rural) still positions women in marginal positions. This study generate several conclusions, first, that women's education must be emphasized more on the principle of sharing in improving quality rather than competence to win and lose, continuously empowering, strengthening with religious material, and starting early. Second, according to M. Quraish Shihab women's education is oriented towards material (physical) and immaterial (mind and soul). And third, the paradigm and thought map of M. Quraish Shihab is a critique of the conservative and liberal paradigms, where education should free women from subordination and marginalization due to the discriminative ideology adopted by the people today, as a reflection of religious interpretations of the community against religious teachings, impressive concern for the issue of social injustice, lawsuit for gender discrimination, and social issues.

Abstract

This article is the result of a study that discusses conflict management implemented in the collective leadership of the Lirboyo Kediri Islamic Boarding School. Where the Lirboyo Kediri boarding school is one of the largest pesantren in the province of East Java and has also existed for more than a century and now its leadership is in the hands of the 4th generation who is the grandson of the founder of the pesantren. In carrying out its leadership, the Lirboyo Kediri boarding school uses a collective leadership style incorporated in a forum called BPK-P2L (Lirboyo Kediri Islamic Boarding School Board of Trustees). The results of this study conclude first, that the formation of the Lirboyo Kediri BPK-P2L Islamic Boarding School has the motive to maintain the integrity of the zealous ties of the pesantren. Second, the map of potential conflicts in the Lirboyo Kediri boarding school consists of: 1). The Lirboyo Kediri boarding school has unit boarding schools that are independent and have their own caregivers and organizations but on the other hand must also comply with the BPK-P2L decision, 2). Term of pondok kulon and pondok wetan. Third, that in conflict control BPK-P2L Lirboyo Kediri applies the musayawarah approach, the division of roles and authority, and applies the tradition of marriage between relatives.

Abstract

This article is the result of study focused on discussing the various of educational character methods in Indonesian pesantren. Where judging from the history of the pesantren is actually an educational institution that has holistic and integrative potential. During this time pesantren have played a strategic role in planting character values ​​in society. This character can be seen from the tradition of Islamic education in pesantren which is prioritizes processes rather than the results. Trust in baraka for pesantren is alleged to be a pioneer of planting character values. But so far, character education that was developed in formal schools by the Indonesian government, in fact, did not involve the pesantren and or did not pay much attentions to the results of research concerning character education in pesantren in particular and the tradition of boarding education in general. So that research becomes very urgent to continue to exploring the potential of pesantren in terms of planting character values ​​continuously. The results of this study indicate that there are four variants of the method of character education in pesantren, namely; hidden curriculum, habituation, ta’zir tradition (punishment), real life, exemplary, application of religious culture, and barakah is indicated as psychologycal reward.
