Abstract

Energy is an object that can move through essentialreactions; increasing population growth is one of the factors forincreasing energy needs. One of the initiatives initiated was thecreation of a Thermal Electric Generator (TEG). The formulationof the problem in this study is to determine the output voltage, current, and power generated by the thermoelectric as analternative energy and to determine the effect of temperature onthe thermoelectric. The goal is to determine the amount of outputthe thermoelectric generates when it gets a heat source from thedispenser. The data source in this study was obtained from testingthe tools made. The test results show the effect of temperature onthe thermoelectric tested for 120th minutes test of max 5.96 Voltswith a water temperature in the dispenser tank of 73C withoutusing a step up using six pieces of thermoelectric arranged inseries.

Abstract

AbstractThe role of an expert system can help an expert solve problems in a particular field. One of the benefits of the expert system is that it is used to diagnose a specific disease or symptom of a disease. The certainty factor has important rules for the system of experts with this specialty. Thyroid disease is correlated with psychological disorders. Nowadays, many people still use plants as traditional medicines, in the study of biological sciences it is referred to as ethnobiology. Some folk plant treatments for thyroid disease are also used by the public. However, there has not been a finding of an expert system for diagnosing thyroid disease with psychological symptoms along with suggestions for medicinal plants. The study aims to apply an expert system for diagnosing thyroid disease with its psychological symptoms and traditional treatment advice. This study also proposes an Android-based expert system application that can be implemented for doctors. The research method uses the method of certainty factor with inference of the percentage of the level of trust and suggestions of traditional medicinal plants that can be used. Data collection through physician interviews and literature studies is relevant for ethnobotanical data. Validation of the system is carried out by doctors and botanists. The result is that this expert system is able to provide validity above 90% for thyroid disease and can be used by doctors to help diagnose patients with indications of thyroid disease and their psychological symptoms.

Abstract

Reducing petroleum resources and environmental problems, alternative insulating oils with biodegradable characteristics have become an alternative. Esterification of palm-based oil is expected to provide better and optimum electrical properties. The esterification of palm oil will be carried out as a test sample and observed for its electrical, physical and chemical properties such as PD characteristics, breakdown voltage, dissipation factor, viscosity, flash point, etc. The effect of thermal aging on oil samples will also be carried out to simulate real situations in power transformer applications. Then after obtaining the best formulation from the sample it will be used as insulating oil in electric power transformers (100kVA). The purpose of this research is to apply esterified palm oil as an electric power transformer oil. The method used in this research includes field research. Field research includes taking oil samples, measuring the breakdown voltage of transformer oil, and the color of transformer oil. The results obtained are insulating oil for electric power transformers based on palm oil. Palm oil has the advantage of being an environmentally friendly, biodegradable and renewable oil compared to the transformer oil used today which is based on petroleum. With the realization of transformer oil based on palm oil, it is hoped that it can provide great economic opportunities for Indonesia as one of the largest palm oil producers in the world and can also provide added value and increase the competitiveness of the palm oil industry in the future.

Abstract

One indicator of wireless network performance is throughput quality where the measurement of throughput quality itself has the aim of knowing the quality of service of a network and a picture of the behavior of the network. In measuring the quality of service of a network, supporting software is needed that can be used to measure the value of the quality of throughput. One of the software that can be used is graphical user interface-based software, namely JPERF, and command-line-based software, namely IPERF version 3. This study aims to compare and analyze two Command Line (CLI) based software using iperf version 3 and Graphical User Interface (GUI) based software using jperf which can produce the highest quality of TCP and UDP network throughput. The test results show that the use of JPERF software produces a higher throughput value when measuring throughput quality using the TCP protocol where the largest difference produced is 5 Mbps when sending 384 KB data packets while the throughput quality measurement using the UDP protocol iperf software version 3 produces a higher throughput value where there is the largest difference generated by 22 Mbps when sending 128 KB packets.
