Abstract

The old city of Gresik is recognized for its Arab Kampong in Gapurosukolilo Village, home to the graves of the first harbor master and the first regent of Gresik. These sites have now become significant cultural heritage and pilgrimage tourism attractions. This study aims to investigate the conditions and impact of tourism in the Arab Kampong Gresik during the Covid-19 pandemic and to provide insights for the post-COVID-19 era. Employing a qualitative historical perspective, the research analyzes data from documents and interviews regarding past events. The findings reveal that during the pandemic, the number of tourists visiting the Arab Kampong of Gresik decreased, resulting in a substantial decline in the local community's income. The interpretation focuses on the processes of rethink, rebuild, and restart, which have led to the creation of strategic programs designed to assist the community in effectively navigating the challenges of the Post Covid-19 era.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi model pengembangan kampung wisata yang berkelanjutan di Surabaya, melalui desain rute tematik dan pembentukan budaya organisasi yang berorientasi pada pelanggan. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini menganalisis data yang diperoleh dari wawancara mendalam dan observasi partisipatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai keramahan, kebanggaan lokal, dan misi keberlanjutan berperan sebagai inti budaya organisasi. Identitas budaya diperlukan untuk merekatkan beberapa kampung yang tergabung pada kesatuan rute tematik yang baru. Sehubungan dengan orientasi kepada pelanggan, diperlukan kepemimpinan dan strategi sebagai pilar pendukung. Berikutnya diperlukan inisiatif eksternal dan internal, dalam menjaga keberlanjutan orientasi layanan kepada wisatawan. Temuan ini dapat menjadi acuan bagi misi pariwisata berkelanjutan dan penerapan strategi pengembangan kampung wisata di Indonesia.

Abstract

Degradasi pengetahuan tradisional tentang tanaman obat di masyarakat pedesaan menimbulkan tantangan signifikan terhadap konservasi keanekaragaman hayati, pelestarian budaya, dan kemandirian dalam perawatan kesehatan. Banyak penduduk pedesaan kurang menyadari manfaat ekonomi, ekologi, dan kesehatan dari tanaman obat lokal, yang memperburuk ketergantungan mereka pada sistem perawatan kesehatan eksternal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi potensi tanaman obat di Desa Ngadiwono, Jawa Timur, melalui pendekatan etnowellness yang memadukan pengetahuan tradisional dengan praktik kesehatan holistik modern. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, termasuk wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipan, dan diskusi kelompok terfokus, untuk mendokumentasikan perspektif masyarakat dan mengidentifikasi strategi untuk mengembangkan wisata etnowellness. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan kesadaran publik tentang nilai tanaman obat dan meningkatnya minat untuk memanfaatkan sumber daya ini untuk pariwisata dan pembangunan ekonomi. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada penerapan kerangka etnowellness untuk memberdayakan masyarakat pedesaan, menggabungkan pelestarian budaya dengan keberlanjutan ekonomi. Temuan ini menyoroti pentingnya pendidikan partisipatif dan upaya kolaboratif dalam mempromosikan pembangunan pedesaan yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on the tourism sector, resulting in the closure of tourist attractions, such as the Surabaya Zoo tourist attraction. The impact of Covid-19 then gave birth to an innovation in virtual educational tour packages formed by the Surabaya Zoo team as an alternative for tourists to carry out tourism activities during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used in the study was a descriptive qualitative approach method, with data collection techniques using primary data sources from interviews and observations, as well as secondary data sources from references, articles, journals, and websites. The Surabaya Zoo virtual educational tour package is one of the educational tour packages formed by the Surabaya Zoo during the Covid-19 pandemic. This package is intended for tourists who want to get to know animal life online, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. The Surabaya Virtual Zoo educational tour package has 4 route options, of which 4 routes have differences, namely, the route passed, the animals explained, and the discussion spots. Virtual zoo educational tour activities are carried out through the online zoom meeting application with a duration of 90 minutes. Promotion of virtual zoo educational tour packages is done directly such as distributing brochures and contacting agencies, the second way is indirectly such as uploading on every social media.
