Abstract

Corn is a staple food source that is rich in carbohydrates. As a source of carbohydrates, some people consume corn as daily food. Determination of corn seeds is an aspect that needs to be considered by farmers before planting because inaccurate selection of seeds can cause unsatisfactory yields and cause farmers to suffer losses. Determination of corn seeds carried out by farmers in Nansean Village and East Nansean Village is still using a manual method by looking at the size of the large fruit and choosing from seeds that have a fast harvest time but will produce unsatisfactory yields which causes farmers to feel crop failure. So it is necessary to build a decision support system that can provide answers to problems using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. The capability of the system built can provide solutions in selecting superior corn seeds for farmers and the results are in the form of rankings. The system development model used in developing this system is the waterfall model. Based on the research results, the chosen alternative in this study was alternative A01, namely NASA 29 Hybrid Corn with a total value of 0.88.

Abstract

The Poultry Jaya farmer group is in the city of Kefamenanu, the native chicken farming system of the Jaya Poultry Group is still conventional. One of the main problems faced by this group is the lack of monitoring and controlling the temperature of the cage as well as monitoring the ammonia gas produced by chicken droppings. Temperature and ammonia gas levels have a major impact on chicken growth and health. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to implement Internet of Things (IoT) technology integrated with Android applications. This technology allows automatic and periodic monitoring of cage temperature and ammonia gas levels. Farmers can access information via the Android app and take necessary action if significant changes occur. This community service aims to build tools and systems for automatic temperature control and IoT-based ammonia levels integrated with Android, as well as introducing technology and providing training and assistance to the Unggas Jaya farmer group regarding IoT technology in chicken coop management. With the existence of IoT technology, it is hoped that the behavior patterns of farmers will change to become more modern and efficient. This technology can help improve poultry farming performance, reduce risks, and provide convenience in cage management so that it will bring positive changes to the productivity and welfare of farmers. Keywords: Poultry Jaya farmer group; chicken coop; Internet of Things (IoT)

Abstract

The Jabal Farm Millennial Taruna Tani Group is located in Kefamenanu City, focusing on freshwater fish farming and agriculture. The conventional fish farming system faces challenges in terms of monitoring pond conditions and efficient feeding. One of the main problems faced by the group is the difficulty in maintaining optimal water temperature and quality as well as manual feeding management. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to implement Internet of Things (IoT) technology integrated with an Android application. This technology allows monitoring of pond conditions such as water temperature and pH automatically, as well as periodic fish feeding settings. This community service aims to build IoT-based automatic monitoring tools and systems, as well as provide training and mentoring to members of the Jabal Farm Taruna Tani Group in using IoT technology for fish pond management. The implementation method in this activity uses a Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) approach that emphasizes active community participation in all stages of the activity, from problem identification to evaluation and follow-up. With IoT technology, it is expected that fish pond management patterns will become more modern and efficient. This technology can help improve fish farming performance, reduce risks, and facilitate management, thus having a positive impact on the productivity and welfare of farmers. Keywords: kelompok taruna tani jabal farm milenial; fish farming; internet of things (IoT) Abstrak: Kelompok Taruna Tani Jabal Farm Milenial berada di Kota Kefamenanu, dengan fokus pada budidaya ikan air tawar dan pertanian. Kata kunci: kelompok taruna tani jabal farm milenial; budidaya ikan; internet of things (IoT)

Abstract

Diseases in older adults (elderly) are often difficult to identify at an early stage due to limited public knowledge and restricted access to healthcare services. Previous studies have implemented expert systems for disease diagnosis; however, most have not specifically focused on elderly disease diagnosis using uncertainty-based confidence approaches that are easily accessible to the general public. The research gap lies in the limited availability of web-based self-diagnosis systems capable of accommodating uncertainty in elderly symptoms using the Certainty Factor method. This study aims to develop a web-based expert system for early diagnosis of diseases in elderly individuals using the Certainty Factor method. The system was developed through stages of analysis, design, implementation using PHP and MySQL, and system testing. Evaluation was conducted through functional testing using the black-box method and accuracy testing by comparing system diagnosis results with expert diagnoses using data from 50 elderly patients. The testing results showed that 46 diagnoses were consistent with expert evaluations while 4 diagnoses were inconsistent, resulting in an accuracy rate of 92%. These results indicate that the developed system performs well as a supporting tool for early disease diagnosis in elderly individuals. Although the sample size remains limited, the findings are consistent with previous Certainty Factor–based expert system studies reporting moderate to high accuracy levels. The developed system contributes a web-based early diagnosis platform that is easily accessible and supports preliminary health decision-making for elderly individuals.
