Abstract

In this study, experiments were conducted on the implementation of the Sharp Infrared Sensor, specifically the Sharp 0A4ISK model, for distance detection in parking assistance applications within automotive systems. The increasing complexity of modern vehicles and the need for enhanced parking safety have prompted the exploration of innovative sensor technologies. In this research, we focused on the application of the Sharp Infrared Sensor to improve parking assistance systems. The study involved calibration, testing, and performance evaluation of the sensor on a laboratory scale. The methodology included the design of electronic component circuits and program development. Subsequently, testing of the sensor's ability to accurately detect distances between a miniature vehicle and a wall was performed. The research results indicate that the Sharp Infrared Sensor offers the ability to detect distance, thus holding the potential for integration into automotive systems.

Abstract

In this study, an analysis of lighting in campus buildings was conducted, specifically for the in the Laboratory of Hotel Operations Department Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN). The main issue identified is visual comfort for occupants in a room, which must comply with the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 6197-2020. Ensuring proper lighting is crucial for both functionality and occupant comfort, particularly in educational settings where tasks require adequate illumination. The lighting analysis was performed through simulation using Dialux and SketchUp software. The process involved designing a detailed building model based on the room layout, including all relevant architectural and interior features. Once the model was completed, the lighting simulation was executed using Dialux. This simulation entailed determining the optimal position of furniture within the room, selecting appropriate types of luminaires, and strategically placing these luminaires to achieve the desired lighting levels. The results of the simulation indicated that the current lighting levels in the laboratory were below the standards set by the SNI. Specifically, the minimum illumination level required by SNI 6197-2020 for a room functioning as a restaurant kitchen, which is analogous to the that Laboratory, is an average of at least 250 lux. The findings highlight the need for redesigning the lighting system in the laboratory to meet the prescribed standards and ensure adequate visual comfort and functionality for its users.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the culinary sector have significant potential in the national economy, but they face challenges in adopting digital technology. The main obstacles include limited infrastructure and a lack of understanding in e-commerce management. This study evaluates the implementation of an e-commerce website for Putri’s Home Cooking in Legok, Tangerang, using an innovative approach that combines intensive mentoring and data-driven marketing strategies tailored to the characteristics of the partners. The uniqueness of this program lies in the combination of continuous mentoring and the use of analytical data for more precise marketing decision-making. The methods used include case-based training, the development of user guides, and ongoing evaluation using analytical data to understand customer behavior. The results show that the adoption of the website improves visibility and transaction efficiency while significantly expanding the market. Training helps the partners manage e-commerce independently and optimize digital marketing. The effectiveness evaluation is conducted through partner feedback, site performance analysis, and user engagement. This study demonstrates that digital transformation, based on strategic mentoring and analytics, can sustainably enhance the competitiveness of MSMEs.

Abstract

The Waru Brilliant Thematic Village in Bojong Renged has been developed since 2021 in response to the limited natural resources in the Tangerang region and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. This program utilizes idle land for integrated agricultural and livestock activities, such as melon greenhouses, mushroom cultivation, chili gardens, and fish spawning. This service activity aims to map the available potential and identify the main challenges that hinder sustainability. Implementation methods include field observations, interviews with residents, and documentation of facilities. The results show that the physical potential is quite large but has not been supported by sustainable management. The main problems lie in low community participation, damage to facilities due to lack of ownership, and technical constraints related to weather and crop distribution. The findings emphasize the importance of collaboration and technology-based community empowerment strategies to support the sustainability of thematic villages.

Abstract

Fossil fuels namely coal, petroleum, and natural gas have long been chosen as the main energy sources in meeting global energy needs. However, fossil fuels have the main problem in that their amount is limited and causes global warming. To overcome these problems, renewable energy such as solar energy can be used. Solar energy can be converted into electrical energy by using solar panels. The installation of a solar power plant certainly requires a large budget, to check its feasibility and can be simulated using PVSyst and RETScreen. In particular, PVSyst is used to search for the amount of material needed, the power capacity produced, and energy losses (there is energy lost). Then, RETScreen is used to calculate photovoltaic installation costs, operational and maintenance costs after photovoltaic installation, and emissions. Probolinggo has enormous potential to use solar power plants with Photovoltaic modules. This study simulates the installation of photovoltaic modules in Probolinggo which still has shortcomings in terms of public street lighting. From the simulations carried out, it can be concluded that Probolinggo is feasible for the installation of the solar power plant. With PVSyst, the total number of photovoltaic modules installed is 15,112 pieces. The total power generated is 10,145 MWh. Then, by using RETScreen, a photovoltaic installation fee of Rp142,978,410,000 was obtained. and annual maintenance costs of Rp1,281,870,000.

Abstract

This community service project aims to monitor the progress of implementing Internet of Things (IoT) and solar-powered agricultural systems in Bojong Renged Village, Tangerang Regency. A field visit was conducted on October 21, 2025, by a collaborative team from Universitas Multimedia Nusantara and Universitas Siber Indonesia following an initial Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The methods applied include field observations of greenhouse and aquaponics construction, interviews with farmer and fisheries groups, and environmental measurements such as temperature, humidity, water quality, and site conditions. The visit confirmed the installation of lightweight steel structures for the greenhouse and preliminary frameworks for aquaponics above fish ponds. Partners expressed the need for IoT-based temperature, pH, soil moisture, and water quality monitoring systems powered by solar energy. These findings provide practical implications for system design, including sensor selection, energy capacity planning, and community training modules. The results serve as a foundation for the next implementation phase toward a sustainable smart farming and aquaculture model.

Abstract

Plantations represent a vital economic sector in Indonesia. However, farmers who rely on plantations for their livelihood often encounter challenges related to air and soil quality, which can significantly impact plant growth. Each type of plant requires specific air and soil conditions to thrive optimally, including factors such as air temperature, humidity, soil moisture, and pH levels. To address these issues, a solution has been developed in the form of a plantation monitoring system that can be accessed remotely and in real-time through cellular and desktop applications. This monitoring system utilizes various sensors, including DHT11 sensors, resistive soil moisture sensors, and soil pH sensors, all of which are meticulously calibrated with digital soil sensors. The collected data can be conveniently monitored and managed through an Internet of Things platform, such as Blynk.Based on the case study, the measurement system that is displayed on Blynk has a range of 0-100 °C for air temperature, 0-100% for air humidity, 0-1000 for soil moisture, and 0-14 for soil pH.
