Abstract

This study aims to determine: 1) Differences in Science Problem-Solving Skills Among Students who were given the Research Project Model treatment in terms of intrapersonal and interpersonal aspects; 2) The interaction between the Research Project Model and Inquiry Level on Science Problem-Solving Skills Among Students; 3) Differences in Science Problem-Solving Skills among Students who were given the Research Project Model treatment in terms of Intrapersonal and Interpersonal aspects who had High Inquiry; and 4) Differences in Science Problem-Solving Skills among Students who were given the Research Project Model treatment in terms of Intrapersonal and Interpersonal aspects who had Low Inquiry. The type of research used was experimental research with a 2 x 2 level research design. The research was conducted at STKIP Taman Siswa Bima in the PGSD Study Program in Semester V with a population of 540 students, so that the sample taken at a confidence level of 90% and a margin of error of 15% was 60 students. The results showed that 1) there was a significant difference in science problem-solving skills between students who used the intrapersonal model (M1) and the interpersonal model (M2), with M1 showing higher results; 2) there was a significant interaction between the Research Project model and the inquiry level, with students with high inquiry showing better results than those with low inquiry; 3) students who used the intrapersonal model with high inquiry (M1C1) had better problem-solving skills than those who used the interpersonal model with high inquiry (M2C1); and 4) there was no significant difference between the intrapersonal and interpersonal models at low inquiry levels (M1C2 and M2C2). These findings emphasize the importance of an intrapersonal approach in project-based learning and the need to apply challenging inquiry levels to improve students' science problem-solving skills.

Abstract

This study aimed to enhance the motivation to learn Science through the application of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative learning model among fifth-grade students at SDN Inpres Pandai. The research methodology employed was classroom action research, involving 20 students as research subjects. The NHT model was implemented through several steps: dividing students into small groups based on numbers, posing questions to students with the same number in each group according to the current study material, collaborating within groups to find answers, and selecting one number from each group to present their group's answer. The research findings indicated an increase in learning motivation from 53.5% in the first cycle to 75.14% in the second cycle, marking an improvement of 21.64%. Furthermore, there was an enhancement in the completeness of learning outcomes from 60% in the first cycle (with a pretest of 0% and a posttest of 60%) to 80% in the second cycle (with a pretest of 40% and a posttest of 80%), reflecting a 20% increase. In conclusion, the use of the NHT model successfully increased both the motivation to learn and the completeness of science learning outcomes among fifth-grade students at SDN Inpres Pandai

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) model integrated with Rumah Lengge ethnoscience on elementary school students’ logical thinking skills. The background of this research is rooted in the low level of students’ logical reasoning abilities, which are still dominated by conventional teaching methods that lack contextual relevance and fail to stimulate scientific reasoning. This quantitative study employed a one-group pretest-posttest design involving one experimental class of 25 fifth-grade students in Wawo District, Bima Regency. The research instrument consisted of a logical thinking skills test based on Ennis' (1996) indicators, comprising 10 multiple-choice items with reasoning. Data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test to examine significant differences between pretest and posttest scores. The results indicated a notable increase in the average score from 61.7 to 71.6, with a statistically significant difference (t = -28.4; p < 0.001). The normality test on the residuals confirmed that the data met the requirements for parametric analysis. These findings demonstrate that the IBL model based on Rumah Lengge ethnoscience is effective in enhancing students’ logical thinking skills by integrating scientific inquiry processes with relevant and meaningful local cultural contexts. The implication of this study suggests that locally contextualized inquiry-based approaches can serve as a strategic alternative to improve the quality of science education in elementary schools.

Abstract

Riset/penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemanfaatan media digital dalam model Fan-N-Pick terhadap pemahaman konsep Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) untuk siswa Sekolah Dasar (SD). Penelitian ini menerapkan metode eksperimen semu (quasi-experiment) dengan rancangan pengukuran sebelum (pretest) dan sesudah (posttest) pada kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol dengan sampel penelitian melibatkan 60 siswa kelas V SD. Kelompok eksperimen mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan model Fan-N-Pick berbasis media digital, sementara kelompok kontrol menggunakan metode tradisional. Data diperoleh melalui evaluasi pemahaman konsep, observasi, serta angket respons siswa. Data penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pemahaman konsep IPA yang signifikan pada kelompok eksperimen jika dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol. Peningkatan nilai rata-rata untuk posttest pada kelompok eksperimen mencapai 36,5%, sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol mengalami peningkatan sebesar 22,1%. Hasil uji-t independen mengindikasikan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan dalam peningkatan pemahaman konsep antara kedua kelompok pada taraf signifikansi 0,05. Selain itu, integrasi media digital dalam model Fan-N-Pick juga meningkatkan motivasi dan keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Penggunaan media digital dalam model Fan-N-Pick dapat menjadi strategi pembelajaran yang efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep IPA di SD. Hasil utama dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan media digital dalam model Fan-N-Pick mengalami kenaikan yang signifikan untuk pemahaman konsep IPA siswa SD dibandingkan dengan pendekatan tradisional. Implementasi strategi ini memerlukan kesiapan guru dalam mengadaptasi teknologi ke dalam proses pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini merekomendasikan pelatihan bagi guru untuk meningkatkan keterampilan integrasi teknologi dalam pembelajaran berbasis kooperatif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model pengembangan Borg & Gall dengan tahapanya yaitu Pengumpulan data, Perencanaan, Pengembangan draf produk, Uji coba lapangan, Merevisi hasil uji coba, Uji coba lapangan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui kelayakan bahan ajar IPAS berbasis etnosains untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan persentase hasil pengskoran skala liker. Data yang diperoleh berupa data kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan menggunakan instrumen angket. Data angket dengan menggunakan skor skala Likert lima tingkat teridi dari : tidak baik (nilai 1), kurang baik (nilai 2), cukup baik (nilai 3), baik (4), dan sangat baik (nilai 5). Hasil uji kelayakan ini terdiri dari angket hasil validasi ahli media dan hasil validasi ahli materi. Hasil uji kelayakan berdasrkan validasi ahli materi di peroleh nilai sebesar 80% dengan kategori sangat layak, sedangkan hasil uji kelayakan berdasarkan validasi ahli media diperoleh sebesar 83,3 % dengan kategori sangat layak juga, sehingga diperoleh rata-rata dari validasi ahli media dan ahli materi untuk uji kelayakan bahan ajar IPAS berbasis etnosains sebesar 81, 7 dengan kategori sangat layak. Oleh karena itu, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar IPAS berbasis etnosains untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikr kreatif peserta didik sekolah dasar yang di kembangkan sangat layak.
