Abstract

In Curug Subdistrict, Tangerang Regency, particularly in Binong Village, there is a mosque with adequate facilities that still requires progressive programs to enhance community engagement and increase the vibrancy of Masjid Nurul Iman. The objective of this study is to understand the role and functions of idarah (administration) and imarah (prosperity) carried out at Masjid Nurul Iman, as well as its supporting and inhibiting factors. The population of this study consists of 165 people, with a sample of 10 respondents, including 4 mosque administrators and 6 congregants and community members. The research method is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques using interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings show that activities such as Majelis Taklim, which includes routine recitations for children, women, and men, charity for orphans and the underprivileged conducted twice a year (during Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha), the formation of the Qurban committee, mosque renovations, and the celebration of Islamic holidays and tabligh akbar (grand sermons) are all community-involved activities. Additionally, the study found that supporting factors for the mosque's role in fostering community solidarity include good relationships between mosque administrators and the community, adequate facilities, the regular study circles organized by mosque administrators, and high community participation in mosque programs. On the other hand, the inhibiting factors include the lack of cooperation between mosque administrators and the younger generation, as well as the somewhat monotonous activities offered by Masjid Nurul Iman. This study highlights the mosque’s important role in community engagement and offers insights into potential improvements in program variety and youth involvement.

Abstract

The participation of people with disabilities is a crucial issue in Indonesia that has emerged along with the development of the concept of social inclusion that encourages the involvement of people with disabilities in social life. Based on the 2015 SUPAS, the most people with disabilities in Indonesia are people who have a little difficulty seeing, which is 5.51%. Meanwhile, the least number of people with disabilities in Indonesia are residents who cannot hear at all, which is 0.09% (Central Bureau of Statistics, 2016). Abstract

The 2020-2024 RPJMN places stunting as a priority issue in health development. The 2019 Study on the Nutritional Status of Toddlers in Indonesia (SSGBI) which was integrated with the March 2019 Susenas showed that the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia in 2019 was still high, at 26.67%. One of the efforts taken by the government is to focus the Quality Family Village Program (KB) on the issue of stunting prevention. KB Villages can mobilize participation and synergy of various institutions in the community to play a role in preventing stunting. This paper discusses the role of the Sendangsari KB Village in empowering the community for stunting prevention. The data were collected and analyzed using qualitative research methods with an exploratory approach. The results of this study indicate that the prevention of stunting by the Sendangsari KB Village is carried out in two ways. First, implementing various stunting prevention activities, such as monitoring the growth of toddlers through health screening and supplementary feeding. Second, encourage collaboration across activity groups, such as BKB Kenanga, BKR Tunas Harapan, PIK-R Mekar Asri, UPPKA Mukti Migunani, KWT Dhuawar, Pokdakan Beliksari and Pokdakan Gondangsari, Posyandu Kenanga, and Posbindu Kenanga, so that they can play a role in stunting prevention. In addition, external actors from the local government, related agencies and academics also contribute to facilitating Sendangsari KB Village through various assistance and training to improve community skills.

Abstract

This article examines the legal and political dynamics of the relationship between religion and the state in Indonesia, particularly in the context of presidential elections. Since the nation’s founding, this relationship has been a subject of contestation—beginning with the Jakarta Charter controversy and reemerging in the post-truth era through the rise of identity politics and populism. Employing library research and Michel Foucault’s heuristic framework, the study identifies three dominant paradigms in the religion–state relationship: secularist, traditionalist, and reformist or moderate Islamic. It argues that Indonesia’s current model aligns with the reformist Islamic paradigm, characterized by a reciprocal relationship in which the state supports the development of religion, while religion provides moral and ethical guidance to the state. The state integrates Islamic ethical values—such as honesty, justice, and brotherhood—into governance and social life, fostering a mutually beneficial framework. This symbiosis does not aim to establish a theocracy but rather promotes a morally grounded state apparatus. The study contributes to ongoing scholarly discussions by offering a framework for constructing a harmonious relationship between religion and the state in pluralistic societies. It concludes that strengthening reformist Islamic values can reinforce Indonesia’s democratic resilience and enhance the spiritual and ethical foundations of its political order.
