Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was aimed to determaine the influence of seaweed meal in the diet on protein utilization of broiler chicken. The experiment used 120 broiler chickens at 17 days old unsex with average body weight 475 ± 0,98 g. Feed rations were consist of 20% crude protein; 2900 kcal/kg metabolizable energy. Completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 6 replication was used in this experiment which T0 (control): rations without seaweed meal, T1: ration with seaweed meal 2,5%, T2: ration with seaweed meal 5%, T3: ration with seaweed meal 7,5%. Feed provided ad libitum until this research until from 17-42 day old. The data obtained were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) F-test with level 5% and if the result of the analysis showed significant effect of treatment will be followed by Duncan's test. The results showed that treatment seaweed meal with 2,5%; 5%; 7,5% significantly decreased protein consumption but not effect on body weight, crude protein digestibility and protein utilization.Key words: seaweed meal, broiler, protein efficiency.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian tepung rumput laut dalam ransum terhadap efisiensi penggunaan protein pada ayam broiler. Penelitian menggunakan ayam broiler umur 17 hari sebanyak 120 ekor dengan bobot badan rata-rata 475±0,98 g. Ransum yang digunakan mengandung PK 20% dan EM 2900 kkal/kg. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan percobaan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL), 4 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan yang diterapkan sebagai berikut : T0: Pemberian ransum + 0% tepung rumput laut; T1: Pemberian ransum + 2,5% tepung rumput laut; T2: Pemberian ransum + 5% tepung rumput laut; T3: Pemberian ransum + 7,5% tepung rumput laut. Pakan diberikan ad libitum sampai dari umur 17-42 hari. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan prosedur analisis ragam (Analysis of Variance / ANOVA) dengan uji F pada taraf 5 % dan apabila hasil analisis menunjukkan pengaruh perlakuan yang nyata akan dilanjutkan dengan uji wilayah ganda Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan dengan penggunaan tepung rumput laut dengan level 2,5%; 5% dan 7,5% secara nyata berpengaruh menurunkan konsumsi protein, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertambahan bobot badan, kecernaan protein kasar dan rasio efisiensi protein.Kata kunci: rumput laut, ayam broiler, efisiensi protein.

Abstract

ABSTRAK           Fitase sebagai bahan aditif diharapkan mampu melepaskan ikatan fitat dengan kalsium, fosfor, tembaga, seng dan mangan, serta meningkatkan relaksasi usus dan absorbsi nutrien. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penambahan enzim fitase dalam ransum terhadap kualitas karkas ayam broiler.Penelitian ini menggunakan 128 ekor DOC broiler strain New Lohman MB 202 umur 3 hari dengan rata-rata bobot awal 104,16 ± 13,17g. Ransum perlakuan dibagi menjadi 4 jenis ransum, yaitu protein 23% dan tanpa menggunakan enzim fitase (T0), protein 21% + enzim fitase 1.000 FTU (T1), protein 23% + enzim fitase 1.000 FTU (T2), dan Protein 23% + Mineral 1%. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan masing-masing unit percobaan berisi 8 ekor ayam broiler. Ransum dan air minum diberikan ad libitum. Parameter yang diamati meliputi bobot hidup, bobot karkas, dan persentase karkas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penambahan enzim fitase dalam ransum ayam broiler tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05) pada bobot hidup, bobot karkas dan persentase karkas. Bobot hidup pada T0, T1, T2, dan T3 masing-masing sebesar 856,50; 995,50; 919,25; dan 924,50g. Bobot karkas pada T0, T1, T2, dan T3 masing-masing sebesar 422,25; 505,25; 442,25; dan 503,73g. Rataan persentase karkar berkisar 51,06 sampai 56,77%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, simpulan yang diperoleh adalah penambahan enzim fitase tidak signifikan terhadap bobot hidup, bobot karsas dan persentase karkas ayam broiler.Kata kunci : ayam broiler, enzim fitase, karkas ABSTRACT Phytase as an additive material was expected to break the bonds of phytate with calcium, phosphorus, copper, zinc and manganese, as well as increasing the intestinal relaxation and absorption of nutrients. This study aimed to determine the effect of the enzyme phytase in the diet on the production of broiler chicken carcasses and determine the level of addition phytase enzyme in the most optimal diet for the production of broiler chicken carcass. the were used in this study128 Day Old Chick (DOC) broilers strain MB 202 New Lohmann. Treatment diet was divided into 4 types of diets, 23% protein without enzyme phytase (T0), protein 21% + 1,000 FTU phytase enzyme (T1), protein 23% + 1,000 FTU phytase enzyme (T2), and Protein 23% + 1% minerals. The experimental design using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replicates each experimental unit contains 8 broiler chickens. Diets and water were given ad libitum. The parameters observed live weight, carcass weight, and carcass percentage. The results showed the addition of the enzyme phytase in broiler diets were not significantly different (P>0.05) on live weight, carcass weight and carcass percentage. Live weight at T0, T1, T2, and T3 respectively 856.50; 995.50; 919.25; and 924,50g. Carcass weight at T0, T1, T2, and T3 respectively amounted to 422.25; 505.25; 442.25; and 503,73g. Mean of carcass percentage was 51.06 and 56.77%. Results of the study concluded that the addition of phytase enzyme was not significant effect on body weight, carcass weight and the carcass percentage of broiler.Keywords : broilers, the enzyme phytase, carcass

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian tepung temu kunci (Boesenbergia pandurata ROXB.) sebagai pakan tambahan terhadap laju pakan, kecernaan protein, retensi nitrogen dan pertambahan bobot badan pada ayam broiler.  Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 120 ekor ayam  broiler umur 7 hari.  Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan dengan taraf pemberian tepung temu kunci (0; 1,2; 1,6; dan 2%).  Data dianalisis ragam dengan probabilitas 5% dan dilanjutkan dengan ujiwilayah ganda Duncan untuk mengetahui perbedaan antar perlakuan.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian tepung temu kunci tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap laju pakan, kecernaan protein dan pertambahan bobot badan, tetapi berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap retensi nitrogen.  Kesimpulan penelitian adalah pemberian tepung temu kunci pada level 2% menurunkan nilai retensi nitrogen, tetapi parameter lain (laju pakan, kecernaan protein dan pertambahan bobot badan) menunjukkan nilai yang sama.Kata Kunci: temu kunci: laju pakan; retensi nitrogen; ayam broiler ABSTRACTThis study aimed to determine the effect of dietary inclusion of finggerroot (Boesenbergia pandurata ROXB.) powder on rate of passage, protein digestibility, nitrogen retention and body weight gain in broiler chickens.  A total of 120 birds of 7 days old broiker chicken were used as experimental animal. The experimental design used in this study was completely randomized design with 5 treatments and 4 replications (6 birds each).  Dietary inclusion levels of finggeroot namely, 0, 1.2, 1.6, and 2 % were the treatment applied in the present study.  Data were stastically analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) at 5 % probability, and it was continued to Duncan test if treatment indicated significant efect.  The results showed that feding of finggerroot had no significant effect ( P > 0.05 ) on the rate of passage, protein digestibility and body weight gain, but significant ( P < 0.05 ) on nitrogen retention.  The conclusion of this study is that the inclusion of finggerroot powder at the level of 2 % decrease nitrogen retention, but the other parameters (rate of passage, protein digestibility, nitrogen retention and body weight gain) are the same.Keywords : finggerroot; passage rate; nitrogen retention; broiler chicken

Abstract

ABSTRAK          Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mengkaji pemberian taraf protein dan lisin ransum yang sesuai terhadap performans ayam kampung. Parameter yang diukur adalah konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan, konversi ransum, presentase karkas, dan meat bone ratio. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap pola faktorial 2 x 3 dengan taraf protein sebagai faktor pertama dan taraf lisin sebagai faktor kedua. Setiap perlakuan memiliki 4 ulangan dengan 10 ekor ayam pada tiap unit percobaan. Perlakuan yang diterapkan adalah P1L1 (protein 17% + penambahan lisin 0,6% dari ransum), P1L2 (protein 17% + penambahan lisin 0,7% dari ransum), P1L3 (protein 17% + penambahan lisin 0,8% dari ransum), P2L1 (protein 14% + penambahan lisin 0,6% dari ransum), P2L2 (protein 14% + penambahan lisin 0,7% dari ransum), P2L3 (protein 14% + penambahan lisin 0,8% dari ransum). Perlakuan dimulai pada umur 1 hari hingga umur 12 minggu. Data dianalisis dengan uji F untuk mengetahui pengaruh perlakuan, dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda Duncan pada taraf probabilitas 5% jika ada pengaruh signifikan dari perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak adanya pengaruh interaksi antara protein dan lisin ransum terhadap konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan, konversi ransum, presentase karkas, dan meat bone ratio. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di atas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan lisin sintesis dalam ransum tidak dapat memberikan pengaruh yang berbeda dalam performans ayam kampungKata kunci : protein ransum; lisin; performans produksi; ayam kampung ABSTRACT             This research aimed to examine level of dietary protein and lysine which is optimum for native chicken performance. Parameters measured were feed consumption, body weight gain, feed conversion, carcass percentage, and meat bone ratio. The research used completely randomized design in 2 x 3 factorial pattern with dietary protein level as the first factor and lysine level as the second factor. Each treatment had 4 replications with 10 heads per trial unit. Treatments applied were P1L1 (protein level 17% + lysine addition 0.6% of diet), P1L2 (protein level 17% + lysine addition 0.7% of diet), P1L3 (protein level 17% + lysine addition 0.8% of diet), P2L1 (protein level 14% + lysine addition 0.6% of diet), P2L2 (protein level 14% + lysine addition 0.7% of diet), P2L3 (protein level 14% + lysine addition 0.7% of diet). The treatment was started  to be offered from 1-day-old and completed when the chicken were 12-week-old. The data was analyzed using F test to determine the effect of treatment, continued with Duncan's multiple range test at 5% probability level if any significant effect was found. The results showed no effect of the interaction between dietary protein and lysine on feed consumption, body weight gain, feed conversion, carcass percentage, and meat bone ratio. Based on the results, it was concluded that lysine addition was not give significant effect on native chicken performance.Key words : dietary protein; lysine; production performance; native chicken

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pangaruh penggunaan tepung temukunci (Boesenbergia pandurata ROXB)dalam ransum terhadap kadar kolesterol, trigliserida, high density lipoprotein darah dan persentase lemak abdominal ayam broiler. Materi penelitian adalah ayam broiler sebanyak 120 ekor unsex mulai umur 7 hari dengan bobot rata-rata 137,5 ± 16,04 g  (CV 6,36 %). Ransum perlakuan terdiri dari 4 jenis ransum, yaitu ransum T0 : Ransum tanpa menggunakan tepung temukunci T1 : Ransum menggunakan tepung temukunci 0,8%, T2 : Ransum menggunakan tepung temukunci 1,2%, T3 : Ransum menggunakan tepung temukunci 1,6%, T4 : Ransum menggunakan tepung temukunci 2,0%.Rancangan percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan jumlah 5perlakuandan4 ulangan masing-masing unit percobaan berisi 6 ekor ayam broiler. Ransum dan air minum diberikan ad libitum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rataan kolesterol tidak berbeda T0 =101,02, T1 = 102,02, T2 = 1012,30, T3 = 143,43, T4 = 130,05 mg/dl, rataan high density lipoproteintidak berbeda T0 =123,78, T1 = 152,70, T2 = 119,80, T3 = 129,18, T4 = 149,05 mg/dl, rataan trigliserida berbeda (P<0,01) T0 = 55,50, T1 = 22,19, T2 = 61,82, T3 = 24,30, T4 = 19,18 mg/dl dan rataan persentase lemak abdominal tidak berbeda T0 =1,29, T1 = 1,62, T2 = 1,98, T3 = 1,39, T4 = 1,36%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan tepung temu kunci (Boesenbergia pandurata ROXB) dalam ransum tidak menurunkan lemak abdominal dan kolesterol serta tidak menaikkan high density lipoprotein namun dapat menurunkan kadar trigliserida darah ayam broiler.Kata Kunci: temukunci; lemak abdominal; trigliserida; kolesterol; broiler ABSTRACTThis studi aimed to determine the effect offingerroot (Boesenbergiapandurata ROXB) powder in the diet on broiler chicken of cholesterol, high density lipoprotein, triglyceride levels of blood and percentage of abdominal fat. The experimental was conducted using the completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and one 4 replications and each research unit consist of 6 chickens. Diet and water given ad libitum. The result shownthat means not defernt means of cholesterol (T0 =101,02, T1 = 102,02, T2 = 1012,30, T3 = 143,43, T4 = 130,05 mg/dl), meanshigh density lipoprotein(T0 = 123,78, T1 = 152,70, T2 = 119,80, T3 = 129,18, T4 = 149,05 mg/dl), defernt (P<0,01) meansof triglyceride(T0 = 55,50, T1 = 22,19, T2 = 61,82, T3 = 24,30, T4 = 19,18 mg/dl)and percentage of abdominal fat(T0 = 1,29, T1 = 1,62, T2 = 1,98, T3 = 1,39, T4 = 1,36%).Conclusions the use of fingerroot powder in the diet ration had no decreased abdominal fat and blood cholesterol and not increased HDL, but decreased blood triglyceride of broiler chickens.Keyword : fingerroot; triglyceride; cholesterol; abdominal fat; broiler

Abstract

Adverse effects of feeding at high ambient temperatures during the day needs to be addressed. One of them is to reduce the proportion of feeding during the day and optimize feeding at night with cooler temperatures and cold environments. Giving light on broiler chickens depending on the management of maintenance depends on the intensity, duration of administration. The material used in this study was 300 chickens weighing 45.01 ± 4.67 g day old chicks (DOC) stain Ross CP 707 from PT. Charoen Pokphan. Chicken research is divided over the treatment of feed with two treatments and light treatments with three treatments each performed 5 replicates, each experimental unit consisted of 10 cows. The parameters observed were broiler feed intake, final body weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage. The data were processed and analyzed with an analysis of the range and tested by F-test, there was a significant effect (p <0.05) between treatments done Ganda Duncan Regional Test level 5%. The results of statistical analysis showed that the proportion of feeding during the evening and at night the lighting program, had no effect (P <0.05) for consumption, final body weight and carcass weight, and there are interactions on carcass percentage. The conclusions obtained in this study is the effect of the proportion of the feed with the old lighting at night had no effect on feed intake, final body weight and carcass weight but there are interactions on carcass percentage, increasing the proportion of feeding at night will increase the percentage of carcasses in line with the increase light at night.Key words : Broier, Lighting, Feeding ProportionABSTRAKDampak buruk pemberian pakan pada suhu lingkungan yang tinggi di siang hari perlu diatasi. Pemberian cahaya pada ayam broiler tergantung pada menajemen pemeliharaan tergantung pada intensitas, lama pemberian. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah 300 ekor ayam dengan bobot badan 45,01 ± 4,67 gram day old chicks (DOC) stain Ross CP 707 dari PT. Charoen Pokphan. Ayam penelitian dibagi atas perlakuan pakan dengan dua perlakuan dan perlakuan cahaya dengan tiga perlakuan yang masing-masing dilakukan 5 ulangan, setiap unit percobaan terdiri dari 10 ekor. Parameter yang diamati meliputi konsumsi pakan ayam broiler, bobot badan akhir, bobot karkas, persentase karkas. Data hasil penelitian diolah dan dianalisis dengan analisis ragam dan diuji dengan uji-F, ada pengaruh nyata (p<0,05) antar perlakuan dilakukan Uji Wilayah Ganda Duncan pada taraf 5%. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa proporsi pemberian pakan siang malam hari dan program pencahayaan pada malam hari,tidak berpengaruh (P<0,05) terhadap konsumsi, bobot badan akhir dan bobot karkas, dan terdapat interaksi pada persentase karkas. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dalam penelitian adalah pengaruh proporsi pemberian pakan dengan lama pencahayaan di malam hari tidak berpengaruh terhadap konsumsi pakan, bobot badan akhir dan bobot karkas tapi terdapat interaksi pada persentase karkas, semakin meningkat proporsi pemberian pakan pada malam hari akan meningkatkan persentase karkas sejalan dengan meningkatkan cahaya pada malam hari.Kata kunci : Broiler, Pencahayaan, Proporsi Pakan

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan eceng gondok fermentasi dalam ransum terhadap produksi telur itik Tegal. Materi yang digunakan adalah 100 ekor itik betina umur 24 minggu dimasukkan dalam kandang sebanyak 20 masing-masing berisi 5 ekor itik. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dengan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah adalah T1 (2,5% eceng gondok tanpa fermentasi), T2 (2,5% eceng gondok fermentasi), T3 (5% eceng gondok fermentasi), T4 (7,5% eceng gondok fermentasi), T5 (10% eceng gondok fermentasi). Parameter yang diamati meliputi konsumsi ransum, produksi telur, berat telur dan konversi ransum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan eceng gondok fermentasi dalam ransum berpengaruh terhadap konsumsi ransum, tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap produksi telur, berat telur dan konversi ransum. Konsumsi ransum untuk T1, T2, T3, T4 dan T5 berturut turut adalah 131,12; 132,68; 133,05; 138,01 dan 140,13 g. Produksi telur 6,70; 4,78; 6,63; 7,27 dan 9,06 %. Berat telur adalah 53,85; 51,87; 59,33; 55,99 dan 56,72 g. Konversi ransum 5,02; 9,51; 5,60; 5,18 dan 5,60. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah tepung eceng gondok fermentasi dapat digunakan dalam ransum itik tegal sampai taraf 10%.Kata kunci : Eceng Gondok Fermentasi, Produksi Telur, Itik Tegal

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan jintan hitam (Nigella sativa) dan vitamin C dalam ransum terhadap profil lemak pada ayam broiler. Penelitian menggunakan 150 ekor broiler (unsexed), strain Cobb umur 8 hari dengan bobot badan rata-rata 187,15 ± 10,72 g. Perlakuan dibagi menjadi 5 jenis ransum dengan masing-masing penambahan vitamin C 500 ppm dan jintan hitam yang berbeda level, yaitu tanpa jintan hitam (T1), 0,25% jintan hitam (T2), 0,5% jintan hitam (T3), 0,75% jintan hitam (T4), 1% jintan hitam (T5). Rancangan percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Parameter yang diamati meliputi bobot lemak abdominal, kadar kolesterol darah, HDL, LDL, dan kadar trigliserida darah yang diambil pada umur 35 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan jintan hitam dan vitamin C tidak memberikan pengaruh berbeda (P>0,05) terhadap bobot lemak abdominal, kadar kolesterol darah, HDL, LDL, kadar trigliserida darah. Simpulan penelitian adalah penambahan jintan hitam (1%) dan vitamin C 500 ppm terhadap ayam broiler cukup untuk pemeliharaan di daerah tropis ditandai dengan perubahan bobot lemak abdominal, kadar kolesterol darah, HDL, LDL, dan kadar trigliserida darah.Kata kunci: ayam broiler; jintan hitam; vitamin C; lemak abdominal; profil lemakABSTRACTThe aim of research was to know the effectof addition of black cumin (Nigella sativa) and vitamin C in broiler diet on the lipid profile. One hundred fifty of chickens were used in thisresearch, unsexed,8 days old,Cobb strainswith 187,15 ± 10,72 g mean weight. The treatment was divided into 5 types of rations with addition of 500 ppm vitamin C in each rations and addition of black cumin in differential levels, i.e. without black cumin (T1); 0,25% black cumin (T2);0,5% black cumin (T3); 0,75% black cumin (T4),1% black cumin (T5). The treatments were arrangedto a completely randomized design (CRD)with 5 treatments and 5 replications. The observed parameters includeweights of abdominal lipid, levels of blood cholesterol, levels of high density lipoprotein (HDL), levels of low density lipoprotein (LDL) and levels of trigliserida. The results showed the addition of black cummin and vitamin C in chicken broiler rations had no significant (P>0,05) on weights of abdominal lipid, levels of blood cholesterol, levels of high density lipoprotein, levels of low density lipoprotein and levels of trigliserida.In conclusion, addition of 1% black cumminand 500 ppm vitamin C on the ration had enough for maintenance of broiler in tropical invironment with changing weights of abdominal lipid, levels of blood cholesterol, levels of high density lipoprotein, levels of low density lipoprotein and levels of trigliserida.Keyword : broiler chicken; black cumin; vitamin C; abdominal lipid; lipid profile

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan tepung rimpang temu kunci dalam ransum terhadap ketahanan tubuh ayam broiler dengan mengamati jumlah leukosit, rasio heterofil limfosit (H/L) dan bobot bursa fabrisius. Materi yang digunakan adalah ayam broiler 120 ekor (unsex) umur 1 minggu dengan rata-rata bobot awal ayam sebesar 321,78 ± 7,8 gram. Ransum yang digunakan mengandung energi metabolis 3.133,83-3.229,79 kkal/kg dan protein kasar 21,00-21,33% dengan bahan pakan yang terdiri dari jagung kuning, bungkil kedelai, tepung ikan, pollard, poultry meat meal (PMM), bekatul, premix, minyak nabati dan tepung rimpang temu kunci. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 kali ulangan, setiap unit percobaan berisi 6 ekor ayam broiler . Ransum perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu T0 (ransum basal), T1 (ransum basal + 0,8% tepung temu kunci), T2 (ransum basal + 1,2% tepung temu kunci), T3 (ransum basal + 1,6% tepung temu kunci) dan T4 (ransum basal + 2,0% tepung temu kunci). Parameter yang diamati meliputi jumlah leukosit, rasio heterofil limfosit (H/L) dan bobot bursa fabrisius. Data dianalisis dengan analisis ragam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ransum perlakuan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap jumlah leukosit, rasio heterofil limfosit (H/L) dan bobot bursa fabrisius. Berdasarkan hasil penelitain disimpulkan bahwa penambahan tepung rimpang temu kunci sampai taraf 2% dalam ransum ayam broiler selama 5 minggu perlakuan tidak mengubah ketahanan tubuh ayam broiler.Kata kunci : ayam broiler; rimpang temu kunci; ketahanan tubuh ABSTRACT The aimed of the research was determined the effect of powder addition fingerroot rhizome in the diet on broiler body resistance with observed leukocyte total, heterophile lymphocyte ratio and bursa fabricius weight. The material used were 120 broiler (unsex) age of  1 week with body weight 321.78 ± 7.8 g. The research diet based on 3,133.83-3,229.79 kcal/kg metabolic energy and 21.00-21.33% crude protein with ingredients yellow corn, fine bran, soybean meal, fish meal, pollard, poultry meat meal (PMM), bran, premix, vegetable oil and powder of fingerroot rhizome. The research used completely randomize design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replicates, consisted of 6 broilers per experimental. The treatment given was T0 (basal diet), T1 (basal diet + 0.8% fingerroot powder), T2 (basal diet + 1.2% fingerroot powder), T3 (basal diet + 1.6% fingerroot powder) and T4 (basal diet + 2.0% fingerroot powder). Parameters measured were leukocyte total, heterophile lymphocyte ratio and bursa fabricius weight. The data were analyzed according to analysis of variance. The result shown that the treatment had no significant effect (P>0.05) to total of leukocyte, heterophile lymphocyte ratio and bursa fabricius weight. Based on the results of the research concluded that the addition of fingerroot rhizome powder until 2% in broiler diet during 5 week of treatment didn’t changed body resistance of broiler.Key word : broiler; fingerroot rhizome; body resistance

Abstract

Productivity of Pelung chicken optimal must be supported by the provision of adequate food, both quality and quantity, to the feeding program should be carried out right on the pelung chicken as needed to serve as a guideline maintenance. The material used was 1 week old pelung chicken unsex as much as 96 tail that is placed on the 24 plots with a size of 60 x 60 x 70 cm, each row there are 4 chickens. Models of experimental design used was Randomized Complete Design (CRD) with 3 treatments ie T1 = treatment by administering Coarse Protein (PK) 18% for 3 weeks and PK 15% for 3 weeks; T2 = treated with PK 18% for 5 weeks and PK 15% for 5 weeks; and T3 = treatment with PK 18% for 7 weeks and then given PK 15% for 3 weeks and each of 8 replicates for each treatment. The parameters observed were feed intake, and feed rate. The data obtained were then analyzed using a variety of F test The results showed that the average of feed rate T1, T2 and T3 was 162.38 minutes 167.25 minutes and 156.83 minutes. The average consumption of protein T1, T2 and T3 32.23 grams, 31.38 grams and 33.02 grams. The average protein digestibility of 76.22% T1, T2 and T3 80.81% 78.93%. The analysis showed that the influence of different kinds of long periods of feeding and protein level and digestibility of feed protein, feed rate no significant effect (P> 0.05), while the fact protein intake is significantly effect (P> 0.05).Key words: pelung chicken, feeding, protein level, feed rate, protein intake, protein digestibility
