Abstract

Beliefs have been identified as an affect on the psychology of mathematics education. Additionally, representations play a paramount role in mathematics teaching and learning. However, few studies have examined prospective teachers' beliefs and their relationship to representations in problem-solving. The purpose of this study is to examine prospective mathematics teachers' beliefs and representations in solving word problems review from gender differences. This study involves 103 college students from the mathematics education department at a public university in Merauke Regency. The data were gathered using a questionnaire, a test, and in-depth interviews. A questionnaire was utilized to elicit the belief of prospective teachers. A test and interview were conducted to evoke data about participants' representations when solving word problems. The male student was found to be capable of arriving at a solution employing multiple representations. Due to the inaccurate representation constructed, the female student was unable to find the correct solution. This work implies that lecturers should heed prospective teachers' beliefs and generate representations of the focal point of classroom learning practice.

Abstract

Understanding of mathematics concept is the most important resolution in learning where students not only memorize the material but can understand and apply it in their daily lives. The ELPSA learning model can improve students' understanding of concepts through learning experiences, developing communication, presenting images in the form of visualizations, symbolizing in general terms, and as the application of the knowledge that has been obtained (application). This study aims to produce a product in the form of an ELPSA-based Student Worksheet that meets the criteria of being valid, practical, effective and has the potential to improve students' conceptual understanding. The method of this research is a 4D development model which is modified into 3D (Define, Design, and Develop). data collection instruments consist of observations, questionnaires and tests. This research produces valid, practical and effective student worksheets that can improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts. The results of this study indicate that the student worksheets are valid with good criteria. The student response questionnaire are 85.6% so it can be concluded that the student worksheets used are practical and can be used in learning. The effectiveness of obtaining a posttest average value of 87.06 with a percentage of 92.5% of students declared complete in learning. Student worksheets are said to be effective if student learning outcomes are declared complete. Mastery learning classically is said to be effective if it has reached 75% of the total number of students. Finally, student worksheets can improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts seen from the pretest and posttest questions that have been given. Student worksheets that have been applied can be a contribution for teachers to improve students' mathematical understanding in learning.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian Tindakan Kelas di SMALB Anim Ha Merauke menggunakan metode praktik dan media tangram dilakukan untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa tunarungu. Pada penerapannya, dilakukan empat tahapan dalam dua siklus yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Materi yang diajarkan yaitu materi gabungan segitiga dan segiempat. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X-B SMALB Merauke yang berjumlah 1 siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan: (1) pada siklus I diperoleh nilai tes belajar dengan perolehan nilai sebesar 79 belum mencapai KKM, sedangkan observasi aktivitas guru berada kategori tinggi. (2) pada siklus II diperoleh hasil belajar siswa dengan perolehan nilai sebesar 83 yang mencapai nilai ketuntasan belajar. Skor rata-rata hasil observasi aktivitas siswa menunjukkan kategori tinggi, sedangkan hasil observasi aktivitas guru telah mencapai kategori sangat tinggi. Berdasarkan hal tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan media tangram dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa tunarungu. Abstract: Classroom Action Research at SMALB Anim Ha Merauke using practical methods and media tangrams was carried out to improve the learning achievement of deaf students. In its application, there are four stages in two cycles, namely: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The material being taught is a combination of triangles and quadrilaterals. The subjects in this study were students of class X-B SMALB Merauke, who opened with 1 student. The results of this study indicate that (1) in the first cycle, a learning test was obtained with a score of 79, which had not reached the KKM, while the observation of teacher activities was in the high category. (2) In the second cycle, students' learning outcomes were obtained with a score of 83, which reached the learning mastery value. The average score of the activity observation results showed a high category, while the results of the teacher's activity observations had reached a very high category. Based on this, it can be said that the application of tangram media can improve the learning achievement of deaf students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan dari penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis moodle terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis mahasiswa. Sample dalam penelitian ini ialah mahasiswa yang mengontrak mata kuliah Kalkulus 1 sebanyak 28 mahasiswa di Universitas Musamus. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian pra-eksperimental menggunakan teknik analisis data One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket respon mahasiswa terhadap penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis moodle dan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keefektifan penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis Moodle dari nilai rata-rata angket respon peserta didik mencapai dengan kategori sangat baik. Perhitungan N-gain adalah dengan kategori sedang. Uji Paired Sample T-test memperoleh hasil tingkat signifikansi (efektif). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa antara pre-test sebelum menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis Moodle dan post-test setelah menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis moodle mengalami perbedaan yang signifikan Berdasarkan hasil beberapa uji disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis moodle dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan open endedyang baik (valid, aktif dan efektif)untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa dengan menggunakan pendekatan open ended. Bahan ajar yang dikembangkan berupa buku guru, buku siswa. Lembar aktifitas siswa, RPP. Pengembangan bahan ajar dengan menggunakan pendekatan open ended dan mengacu pada model pengembangan bahan ajar 4-D Thiagarajan yang dimodifikasi yaitu pendefenisian, perancangan, pengembangan dan penyebaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan telah mempunyai nilai validitas, kepraktisan, respon guru, respon siswa dan hasil uji coba lapangan. Berdasarkna hasil uji coba lapangan, bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dengan menggunakan pendekatan open ended dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa sehingga hasil belajarnya menjaid lebih baik,dari hasil tersebut disarankan agar pembelajaran dengan pendekatan open ended perlu diterapkan pada sekolah.

Abstract

Pengabdian pada masyarakat dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman guru dalam membuat sebuah karya ilmiah yang layak untuk dipublikasikan dan dapat bermanfaat bagi perkembangan profesionalitas guru. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dapat menjadi sebuah wadah bagi guru untuk bertukar pengalaman. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Geradus ADII Merauke dimana jumlah guru yang hadir sebanyak 20 orang. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilakukan selama 2 hari dengan tahapan persiapan meliputi survey, pemantapan lokasi. Tahap pelaksanaan kegiatan dengan berkoordinasi dengan guru, mencari informasi dari internet, pembekalan penulisan artikel ilmiah, ceramah, diskusi, tanya jawab dan simulasi. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menghasilkan 75% peseta dapat memahami konsep penulisan karya ilmiah untuk mengembangkan profesionalitas guru. Selama pelaksanaan kegiatan, peserta terlihat sangat antusias ketika dilakukan diskusi sampai berakhirnya kegiatan pelatihan.

Abstract

The teacher frequently asks questions in the form of algorithms without challenging the student to think at a higher level and nearly never gives daily questions. As can be observed, some teachers have not done competency assessments and hence do not require pupils to accomplish specific competencies. The purpose of this project is to create school collaboration worksheets and examine student responses to these problems, with the goal of implementing learning through the Lesson Study for Learning Community (LSLC) method. This study employs a qualitative approach and a design research method. Design research is divided into two stages: development research and design research. The study's subjects were seventh-grade pupils from SMPN 1 Merauke. This investigation culminated in the development of worksheets on direct comparisons and integers. According to the results of the examination of students' responses to the LKS, some students were able to solve problems effectively, indicating that this LKS was legitimate and useful for use

Abstract

Each region has a cultural heritage that has been passed down for generations, even in areas within one country have various kinds of cultural heritage.  One of the areas in Indonesia that has a cultural heritage is Merauke Regency which is inhabited by the Malind Tribe.  This study aims to apply real experiences that can be found in the Malind (Papua) tribe as material in curriculum development that can be applied in the South Papua region. This research was conducted in a village located in Kaiburse, Merauke Regency, which is inhabited by the Malind people. This research is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Researchers continuously participate actively in the field by recording and analyzing and representing all findings found in the field. The approach used in order to analyze in depth all forms of cultural heritage values found in the indigenous people of the Marind tribe who inhabit Kaiburse Village. The real experience gained based on the results of observations, interviews in the field and documentation during the research that is then carried out is data triangulation. This research produces an explanation of local wisdom in mathematics material. This research can be the main source of the government to integrate local wisdom in learning in schools

Abstract

The application of the Discovery Learning learning model aims to create activity-based learning discoveries that will have an impact on improving student learning outcomes. This type of research is research class action using the Kemmis and Mc Taggart models. This research was conducted at SMK Negeri 2 Merauke, which focuses on mixed class XI, has 11 students in odd semesters. The purpose of this activity to improve learning activities so that they can run effectively according to conditions. Research instruments that used in the form of teacher observation sheets, student observation sheets and student test sheets. Observation sheet for measure the effectiveness of learning activities and test sheets are used to measure student learning outcomes. This research was conducted through 2 cycles. The results of this study is an increase in learning activities students marked by the average percentage of student activity in cycle 1 of 42% (enough) rose to 70% (good) in cycle 2. Student learning activities influence student learning outcomes indicated by the presence of an average percentage of completeness learning outcomes cycle 1 of 0% (low) increased to 72.7% (good) in cycle 2.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik kelas X  Campuran SMK Negeri 2 Pariwisata Merauke dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan media audio visual. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam 3 siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata tingkat aktivitas peserta didik meningkat dari 31% pada siklus 1 menjadi 62% pada siklus 2 dan 87% pada siklus 3. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa model pembelajaran Probel Based Learning(PBL)  berbantu media audia visual dapat meningkatkan  hasil belajar peserta didik.Abstract:  This study aims to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of students in class X Mixed SMK Negeri 2 Wisata Merauke by applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model assisted by audio-visual media. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (PTK) which was carried out in 3 cycles. The results showed that the average activity level of students increased from 31% in cycle 1 to 62% in cycle 2 and 87% in cycle 3. This shows that the Probel Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by audio-visual media can improve results. learn students.
