Abstract

Tujuan dari revitalisasi BUMDes untuk akselerasi pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat desa adalah untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat desa melalui pemberdayaan sel-sel potensi yang dimiliki desa baik terkait sumber daya alam maupun manusia. Revitalisasi BUMDes perlu dilakukan dalam rangka meningkatkan kinerja BUMDES untuk meraih pencapaian terbaik. Untuk kepentingan tersebut dipilih dua desa berdasarkan karakteristik tertentu yakni di Desa Cijulang dan Desa Sukaresik di Kabupaten Ciamis. Target dari kegiatan adalah para pengelola BUMdes, aparat, dan masyarakat mendapatkan (1) pengetahuan dalam pengelolaan BUMDes, (2) pemahaman manajemen resiko, (3) pengalaman dalam membuat analisis SWOT, dan (4) Pendampingan kewirausahaan kepada UMKM. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan model revitalisasi BUMDes dalam konteks pemberdayaan ekonomi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama 6 bulan diawali dengan observasi dan wawancara untuk mendapatkan data awal, Focus Grup Discussion (FGD), pembuatan model, penyusunan program revitalisasi dengan memperhatikan permasalahan yang dihadapi, yaitu dibidang manajemen, sistem informasi, peran serta dan kepercayaan masyarakat dan transparansi, dan kerjasama dengan perusahaan. Output atau luaran yang dihasilkan adalah publikasi artikel pada jurnal pengabdian dan media massa, dan sistem informasi BUMdes (SIBDes).

Abstract

This study aims to explore the EFL students’ Perception on use of the Wattpad application in helping reading comprehension. The research method used is a qualitative case study. The participants were three English Education students at a university in West Java, Indonesia. The data collection was carried out using semi-structured interviews. Then, the data analysis used the thematic analysis framework from Braun and Clarke (2006). The results of the study found two themes, namely (1) Wattpad Facilitates users for Reading Easily and (2) Achievement of Reading Comprehension Levels. The contribution of this research is to provide readers with empirical insight into the advantages of the Wattpad application to assist in reading comprehension

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve students' mastery of English vocabulary using English songs. Conducted with two participants at a junior high school in Tasikmalaya City, West Java, Indonesia, the research utilized an interview technique to gather insights on students' experiences. The data obtained from the interviews were analyzed thematically, revealing several key findings. Firstly, students reported that they effectively remember new vocabulary through English songs, which aids in retention and recall. Secondly, the study indicated that vocabulary acquisition is significantly enhanced when students engage with English songs. Additionally, participants noted improvements in their pronunciation skills, allowing them to articulate words they previously found challenging. The research also highlighted that students could correct their spelling through exposure to song lyrics, reinforcing their learning experience. Moreover, students demonstrated initiative by seeking to understand the meanings of the words within the songs, further deepening their vocabulary mastery. Overall, the findings suggest that students tend to have positive perceptions of learning English through songs, as this method not only makes the learning process enjoyable but also effectively supports their language development. By integrating music into language education, teachers can foster a more engaging and productive learning environment for their students..

Abstract

Background: The digital era requires the realm of education to continue to develop in integrating innovative approaches, especially when designing lesson plansor learning plans. This study explored the potential of artificial intelligence, Artificial Intelligence (AI), with a focus on two main platforms, namely magic school apps and invideo.ai. The researchers investigated how the Magic School Apps and Invideo applications simplify learningdesign by producing innovative learning plans that can be adapted to learning objectives, class activities, and required assessments according to therequested promt. Methodology This study used a qualitative descriptive case study to investigate the phenomenon of using artificial intelligence at the tertiary level in TechnologyEnhanced Language Learning courses. Six Participants in this research are students        in the TELL course. In collecting data the researchers interviewed these students and collect learning process information related to the use of Magic school Ai and invideo.Ai. In analyzing the data the researchers used thematic analysis. Findings: The researchers analyzed the data and they found five themes. The themes are (1) Initial Impressions and Ease of Use, (2) Feature Utility and Variety,(3) Learning Curve and Familiarity, (4) Potential in Teaching and Learning, (5) Concerns About AI Limitations. Conclusion: Exploring the development and future direction of AI in learning plans also has limitations, such as dependence on created content, this requires lecturer supervision to ensure quality and looks to the future where AI can be integrated as an adaptive learning platform and real time assessment tool to further personalize the learning experience. Originality: The issue of the utilization of Artificial Intelligence magic School AI and Invideo.AI on classroom context.
