Abstract

PT AST is one of the leading tire manufacturing industries in Indonesia. In the building department, there are material replacement activities carried out manually by lifting heavy rolls of ply (material) to the machine which can pose a risk of injury to the operator. The engineering department has made a ply lifting tool, and tested it in May 2023, but it was not used in the production process. Therefore this research was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of this tool based on the operator productivity, standard time, and the level of risk of injury generated before and after use. Rapid Entire Body Assessment method, and Lifting Index were used to evaluate the injury risk. The paired t-test results showed that the worker productivity after using the tool (144 pcs/shift) was not significantly different from the worker productivity before using the tool (143,6 pcs/shift). The standard time of the material replacement process after using the tool was 122.15 seconds, longer than the replacement time without using the tool, which was 74.37 seconds. However, the longer replacement time did not significantly reduce overall worker productivity, because the proportion of this replacement time was only 2.3% of the total working time in one shift. The tool was able to reduce the level of injury risk based on REBA score from very high risk (11 points), to medium risk (7 points), and successfully eliminated the risk of back injury based on the lifting index value which dropped from 2.56 (high risk) to 0 (no risk). In conclusion, the ply lifting tool was functionally effective because it can reduce the potential injury to the operator.Bahasa Indonesia Abstract:PT AST merupakan salah satu industri manufaktur ban terkemuka di Indonesia. Pada departemen building, terdapat kegiatan penggantian material yang dilakukan secara manual dengan mengangkat gulungan ply (material) yang berat ke mesin yang dapat menimbulkan risiko cedera pada operator. Departemen engineering telah membuat alat bantu pengangkat ply, dan mengujicobakannya pada bulan Mei 2023, namun alat bantu tersebut tidak digunakan lebih lanjut dalam proses produksi. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas alat bantu tersebut berdasarkan produktivitas operator, waktu baku, dan tingkat risiko cedera yang ditimbulkan sebelum dan sesudah alat bantu digunakan. Metode Rapid Entire Body Assessment dan Lifting Index digunakan untuk mengevaluasi tingkat risiko cedera. Hasil uji-t berpasangan menunjukkan bahwa produktivitas pekerja setelah menggunakan alat bantu (144 pcs/shift) tidak berbeda secara signifikan dengan produktivitas pekerja sebelum menggunakan alat bantu (143,6 pcs/shift). Waktu baku proses penggantian material setelah menggunakan alat bantu adalah 122,15 detik, lebih lama dibandingkan dengan waktu penggantian tanpa menggunakan alat bantu, yaitu 74,37 detik. Namun waktu penggantian yang lebih lama tersebut tidak menurunkan produktivitas pekerja secara keseluruhan secara signifikan, karena proporsi waktu penggantian ini hanya sebesar 2,3% dari total waktu kerja dalam satu shift. Alat bantu ini mampu menurunkan tingkat risiko cedera berdasarkan skor REBA dari risiko sangat tinggi (11 poin), menjadi risiko sedang (7 poin), dan berhasil mengeliminasi risiko cedera punggung berdasarkan nilai lifting index yang turun dari 2.56 (risiko tinggi) menjadi 0 (tidak berisiko). Kesimpulannya, alat bantu pengangkat ply efektif secara fungsional karena dapat mengurangi potensi cedera pada operator.

Abstract

Traffic congestion is one of the main problems faced by people in Jakarta.  In fact, the government has already provided various public transportation services to overcome the traffic congestion.  However, it seems that people, especially in Jakarta, prefer to travel using their private vehicles.  The accumulation of private vehicles is one factor contributing to the traffic congestion in Jakarta, which is difficult to overcome.  Therefore, it is necessary to examine what factors can influence passenger’s loyalty to using public transportation, in this case, the MRT Jakarta.  In this research, the direct and indirect effects of accessibility, connectivity, and service quality factors will be tested on passenger loyalty through the passenger satisfaction factors. The sampling method used in this research is purposive sampling with the inverse square root method to determine the minimum sample. The data will be processed by using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with the help of SmartPLS software. As a result, it was found that the factors that directly influence passenger satisfaction are accessibility, connectivity, and quality of service.  The factors that directly affect passenger loyalty are connectivity and passenger satisfaction.  Lastly, the two factors that indirectly affect passenger loyalty through satisfaction are accessibility and service quality. From the results of this study, it is suggested that the MRT Jakarta management can improve MRT connectivity by shortening the waiting time between station stops, providing clarity regarding information for the next stop, clarity of information for passengers to make transfers with other modes of transportation, and convenience in transferring using other modes of transportation. With improved connectivity, accessibility, and quality of MRT services, passenger loyalty is hoped to increase.

Abstract

This research was conducted to design and develop a cassava slicing tool for the UMKM (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) "Keripik Singkong Bu Supiah" located in Keranggan Village. The design and development process of this slicing tool was carried out using the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) approach and a House of Quality (HOQ) matrix, which was employed to gather user needs (voice of the customer) and then further analyzed to generate HOWs (engineering characteristics). Additionally, a component planning matrix was created, resulting in three key components for the tool's development: the main frame, slicing mechanism, and slicing blade. The next step involved designing and constructing the cassava slicing tool based on user requirements. The developed cassava slicing device was constructed from iron and was equipped with three blades mounted on a rotating disc, which was operated manually using a hand crank. The device also features a container for placing the cassava, fitted with a spring mechanism that facilitates the movement of the cassava toward the blades. The testing results of the developed tool showed a 6.1% improvement in slicing time efficiency and a 0.54% increase in slicing yield. Moreover, the tool development helped minimize the risk of hand injuries from the blade and eliminated waste during the cassava slicing process. Bahasa Indonesia Abstract: Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk merancang dan mengembangkan alat pengiris singkong pada UMKM Keripik Singkong Bu Supiah yang terletak di Desa Keranggan. Proses perancangan dan pengembangan alat ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan Quality Function Deployment (QFD) yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan kebutuhan pengguna (voice of customers) yang kemudian akan dianalisis lebih lanjut untuk menghasilkan HOWs (engineering characteristics). Selain itu, terdapat matriks perencanaan komponen yang menghasilkan tiga komponen penting dalam pengembangan alat, yaitu kerangka utama, mekanisme pengirisan, dan pisau pengiris. Proses selanjutnya adalah perancangan dan pembuatan alat pengiris singkong berdasarkan kebutuhan pengguna. Alat pengiris singkong yang dikembangkan terbuat dari besi dengan 3 bilah pisau dipasang pada piringan dan dioperasikan menggunakan engkol yang diputar secara manual. Pada alat tersebut juga terdapat wadah tempat meletakkan singkong yang dilengkapi dengan pegas yang dapat mendorong singkong ke arah pisau. Hasil uji coba dari alat yang telah dikembangkan adalah terdapat peningkatan efisiensi sebesar 6,1% terhadap waktu pengirisan singkong dan peningkatan sebesar 0,54% terhadap hasil irisan singkong. Selain itu, pengembangan alat juga dapat meminimalkan resiko tangan tergores mata pisau dan menghilangkan waste yang terdapat dalam proses pengirisan singkong.

Abstract

To support the government's program in achieving a zero waste target, the information system used by waste collectors, waste bank managers, or individuals needs to be developed. The academic community has supported the government program by designing an information system. However, the system requires sustainable maintenance and development to meet user needs. SampahQu is a mobile application used for depositing Tetra Pak packaging waste in South Tangerang. However, the application cannot be used due to lack of maintenance. The purpose of this research is to develop an information system based on the framework of the previous application, but expanded to deposit 48 other types of waste. The development method used is the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Prototype, which consists of planning, analysis, design, implementation, and testing stages. In the planning stage, the business process, user needs, and system development feasibility analysis are obtained. The results of the analysis stage consist of use case diagrams, activity diagrams, class diagrams, and normalized relational tables. The application will be used by waste collectors, waste bank managers, and personal customers, so login is required for access suitability: registration, waste bank data update, transaction input, viewing historical data, and reporting. The results of the design and implementation stage were successfully tested with users using the Delone and McLean success measurement method, with a score of 4.8 out of 5.Bahasa Indonesai Abstract:Untuk mendukung program pemerintah mencapai target bersih sampah, diperlukan pengembangan sistem informasi yang dapat digunakan oleh pengepul, pengurus bank sampah atau personal. Pihak akademisi telah mendukung program pemerintah melalui perancangan sistem informasi. Namun diperlukan adanya pemeliharaan dan pengembangan yang berkelanjutan dari sistem tersebut agar dapat memenuhi kebutuhan pengguna. Aplikasi SampahQu merupakan aplikasi mobile yang digunakan untuk menyetor sampah kemasan Tetra Pak di Tangerang Selatan. Namun karena belum ada pemeliharan, aplikasi tersebut tidak dapat digunakan lagi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan sistem informasi berdasarkan kerangka kerja aplikasi sebelumnya, namun diperluas untuk penyetoran 48 jenis sampah lainnya. Metode pengembangan yang digunakan adalah metode Daur Hidup Pengembangan Sistem atau System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Prototype, yang terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, analisis, pembuatan, implementasi dan testing. Pada tahap perencanaan diperoleh proses bisnis, kebutuhan pengguna dan analisis kelayakan pengembangan sistem. Hasil dari tahap analisis terdiri dari use case diagram, activity diagram, class diagram dan tabel relational ternormalisasi. Aplikasi akan digunakan oleh pengepul, pengurus bank sampah dan nasabah personal maka login diperlukan untuk kesesuaian akses: register, update data bank sampah, input transaksi, melihat data histori, dan pelaporan. Hasil dari tahap pembuatan dan implementasi berhasil diujicoba kepada pengguna dengan menggunakan metode pengukuran keberhasilan dari Delone dan McLean sebesar 4.8 dari skala 5.

Abstract

In the Work System Design Laboratory at UPH, there are anthropometric measuring tools for standing position and sitting position. Based on the tools evaluation, it was found that they were less efficient because of the need for repeated tool adjustments. Furthermore, two observers were needed to collect anthropometric data and they had to read the scale manually. Therefore, a new digital and portable anthropometric measuring tool was developed to overcome the problem. The Gea HT721 measuring instrument was chosen as an alternative to a new anthropometric measuring tool that uses ultrasonic ranging technology to measure distances. A supporting tool (similar to a caliper) was also developed to support the anthropometric measurement process. An evaluation of the new anthropometric measuring tool was carried out by calculating the average percent error and a comparison of the total time for data collection. The results of the average percent measurement error was 0.58%. According to the paired t-test, there was no significant difference in the average of measured body dimensions using the new and the previous tools. The new anthropometric tools can reduce data collection time by 32% for standing positions and 11% for sitting positions.Bahasa Indonesia Abstract:Pada Laboratorium Analisis Perancangan Kerja (APK) di UPH terdapat alat ukur antropometri posisi berdiri dan posisi duduk. Berdasarkan evaluasi alat antropometri tersebut, ditemukan bahwa alat kurang efisien karena membutuhkan penyetelan alat yang berulang yang juga membutuhkan lebih dari satu pengamat saat pengambilan data. Selain itu, pengamat sering mengalami kesulitan pembacaan hasil pengukuran manual pada meteran. Oleh karena itu, dibuat alat antropometri jenis baru yang bersifat digital dan portabel. Alat ukur Gea HT721 dipilih sebagai alternatif alat antropometri baru yang menggunakan teknologi ultrasonic ranging untuk mengukur jarak. Setelah itu, dirancang dan dibuat suatu alat pendukung yang menyerupai jangka sorong untuk mendukung proses pengukuran data antropometri. Evaluasi alat antropometri baru dilakukan dengan menghitung rata - rata persen error, serta perbandingan total waktu pengambilan data. Hasil rata - rata persen error pengukuran adalah 0,58%. Hasil uji paired t test menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara rata-rata hasil pengukuran dimensi tubuh menggunakan alat ukur antropometri jenis baru dengan hasil pengukuran menggunakan alat yang lama. Berdasarkan perbandingan total waktu pengambilan data terdapat penurunan waktu sebesar 32% untuk data antropometri posisi berdiri dan 11% untuk data antropometri posisi duduk.

Abstract

SAMPAHQU as a waste collection company in Tangerang Selatan plays a crucial role in the circular economy. With the increasing number of customers and collaborating waste banks, the need for a waste deposit application that can be accessed by SampahQu, waste bank administrators, and customers has become evident. This application is intended to facilitate SampahQu in monitoring the volume and types of waste deposited, as well as the corresponding monetary transactions to be paid to customers or waste bank administrators. Additionally, customers and waste bank administrators can access information regarding the types and quantities of waste they have deposited, along with the earnings derived from these deposits. To address these requirements, a web-based waste deposit application has been developed, enabling access via mobile devices. Nonetheless, several issues have been identified during its implementation, such as the lack of a payment reporting feature to the waste bank and the absence of customer-specific reports grouped by waste bank. Consequently, this research focuses on the enhancement of the SampahQu application to improve its utility for waste banks and SampahQu customers.
