Abstract

This study examines the productivity of the authors in the field of library and information science in Indonesia during the year of 2001-2010 by using Lotka’s law. The population of this study are all kinds of scientific articles contained in the  journal library and information science in which the journal is registered in PDII-LIPI databases and published between the years 2001 to 2010. Assessment author's participation was done by using 'straight count'. The sampling technique used is saturated sample. Journals in accordance with the criteria of research as much as 24,  1085 articles written by 1018 authors. Due to this research used 'straight count' only 547 authors counted. Obtained the results of the calculation of the value of n worth 1,92 and C 0,6172. The finding conclude, in the year 2001-2010 the number of certain writers that contribute one article is 61.72% of the total number of authors. Test results showed that the value Dmaks smaller than the critical value, this means that the productivity distribution author library and information science in Indonesia year of 2001-2010 in accordance with the argument of Lotka’s law. It is known that the productive author works as a lecturer/librarians derived from the college environment.Keywords: Library and Information Science, Bibliometrics, Lotka’s Law

Abstract

Penentuan tingkat kematangan tomat secara manual memiliki kelemahan karena standar yang subjektif dan memakan waktu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kematangan tomat berbasis representasi warna Hue Saturation Value (HSV) menggunakan Principal Component Analysis (PCA) sebagai ekstraksi ciri dan K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) untuk klasifikasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan 400 citra dengan resolusi spasial 400x400 yang dikelompokkan dalam 5 tingkat kematangan yaitu green, turning, pink, light red dan red. Data terbagi menjadi data latih dan data uji dengan rasio 80:20. Skenario yang diberlakukan merupakan pembagian data ruang warna yaitu Hue (H), Saturation (S), Value (V), Hue-Saturation (HS), Hue-Value (HV), Saturation-Value (SV) dan HSV. Nilai k sebagai tetangga pada KNN yang dijadikan sebagai skenario adalah 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 dan 11. Adapun nilai principal componen yang diterapkan sebesar 5, 10, 15 dan 65 dengan varian rasio 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan K=7 dan nilai PC =5 menghasilkan nilai akurasi tertinggi dengan persentase 94% pada pengujian HV. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan klasifikasi data uji sebanyak 80 data citra, didapatkan hasil sebanyak 75 data hasil akurat dan 5 data yang tidak akurat.

Abstract

Dedak padi merupakan salah satu pakan yang penting bagi ternak. Penurunan kualitas dedak padi dapat terjadi ketika dedak padi dicampur dengan bahan lain seperti sekam padi.  Dedak padi yang dicampur sekam akan mengalami peningkatan kandungan lignin. Dengan demikian, kandungan lignin dalam dedak padi dapat dijadikan indikasi adanya campuran sekam dalam dedak padi. Salah satu metode untuk mengetahui kandungan lignin tersebut adalah dengan uji laboratorium melalui reaksi pewarnaan dengan larutan phloroglucinol. Pada penelitian ini, estimasi kandungan lignin dilakukan dengan menggunakan probabilistic neural networks (PNN) berdasarkan citra campuran dedak padi dan sekam hasil reaksi pewarnaan larutan phoroglucynol. Terdapat 11 kelas dalam penelitian ini yang mewakili 11 komposisi campuran dedak padi dan sekam. Untuk mengetahui kadar lignin dari 11 kelas tersebut, dilakukan uji laboratorium terlebih dahulu. Sebagai input PNN, digunakan fitur histogram dari citra hasil reaksi pewarnaan tersebut dengan lima variasi jumlah bin (interval). Pada penelitian ini digunakan dua model warna citra yaitu model warna RGB (red, green, blue) dan HSV (hue, saturation, value). Pembagian data latih dan data uji untuk PNN menggunakan skema 3-fold cross validation dengan total jumlah data sebanyak 132 citra. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa akurasi tertinggi PNN sebesar 79.54% dan akurasi rata-rata 75,75% untuk kedua model warna citra.

Abstract

Indonesia, causing distress among farmers due to their limited knowledge of how to handle the disease. This situation has been exploited by unscrupulous traders and middlemen who spread misinformation, claiming that cattle infected with FMD will inevitably die. Taking advantage of the panic, they purchase the animals at low prices and resell them at higher prices after treatment. To address this issue, a team of researchers from IPB University carried out a community outreach program aimed at improving farmers' literacy regarding FMD. As part of the program, a mobile-based expert system application was introduced, enabling farmers to perform quick, independent diagnoses based on observed symptoms. The evaluation results, based on pre-test and post-test assessments, showed a significant increase in farmers' understanding after attending the seminar. This innovation is expected to empower farmers to manage FMD more independently and effectively.
