Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic is the first health crisis in the entire world, especially attacking the immunity of everyone so that it becomes a scourge for every community whose activities are mostly carried out at home due to the pandemic. This COVID-19 outbreak has hit 215 countries in the world and has given its own challenges for educational institutions, both from elementary schools, high schools and in Universities. The cause of the COVID-19 outbreak, making all activities starting from school, work had to be temporarily closed to break the chain of COVID-19 distribution. COVID-19 is a virus that attacks human respiration (Ministry of Health, 2020). The purpose of this study was to obtain information related to the COVID-19 pandemic on the effect of student learning at SD Muhammadiyah 17 Surabaya. There are doing online learning that are currently being don such as improving student memory, providing broad insight into their experiences through text, video and audio. Not only that, parents are more often monitoring their children being left behind.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the results of the analysis using the Mind mapping method to improve critical thinking skills in elementary schools, because in elementary schools students need to increase their potential for provision in everyday life by using the mind mapping method to improve thinking skills. critical. This research method uses descriptive analysis, this data collection technique uses meta-analysis research, namely research conducted by repetition and analyzing research from several previous research results. Data collection in this study was carried out by browsing journals on several electronic media. Data analysis of ten articles obtained an average of 60,098% results and 74,379% after results. Based on research data carried out by meta-analysis, it can be concluded that the application of the mind mapping method has been done by many researchers before, this method can improve students' critical thinking skills. After analyzing the ten articles above, it can be concluded that the students 'critical thinking skills increased by an average of 74.4 and the previous score with an average of 67.8. This was declared successful because of the increase in students' critical thinking. This is expected to be a reference for teachers so that they can use the mind mapping method in teaching and learning activities in education. The Mind mapping method is very effective for learning because the mind mapping method is proven to improve critical thinking and student learning outcomes for the better.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain information related to the impact of online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic on student guardians, homeroom teachers, and grade II students at SD Muhammadiyah 17 Surabaya. This research is a type of survey research using a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used interviews, with the research instruments in the form of WhatsApp and Google Form. The WhatsApp instrument is used to conduct interviews via chat with the homeroom teacher. Meanwhile, the Google Form link instrument was sent to the guardians of students and students through the help of the homeroom teacher to find out how each of them responded to online learning in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. The results showed that in online learning, parents are required to provide assistance to their children whenever there is online learning activity. As for Mrs. Fitri, the homeroom teacher, online learning makes her have to be ready with the assignments given to her students in order to continue to have activities in carrying out online learning activities even from home. Meanwhile, in online learning as it is today, students are required to be active in doing assignments given by their homeroom teacher.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of science learning videos in limited face-to-face learning at SD Muhammadiyah 9 Surabaya. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research with the research subjects being all students of class VI, totaling 24 students, guardians of class VI, and the principal of SD Muhammadiyah 9 Surabaya. Data collection techniques used were student questionnaire sheets, teacher interview sheets, and school principals. This study uses analytical techniques consisting of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data based on the results of research conducted there are 93% of students stated that they enjoyed participating in limited face-to-face learning compared to online, 95% felt motivated, 95% said the learning atmosphere was more enjoyable, 90% said the material was easier to understand and 95% said study time was more effective. According to the homeroom teacher for grade VI, through the use of this science learning video, the teacher felt that the learning time could be used more effectively, even though there were several obstacles faced by the teacher. Likewise, according to the principal, the use of video media is in accordance with the character of the digital generation of students. Based on the results of the research above, it can be concluded that learning using science learning videos is very suitable for use in limited face-to-face learning.
