Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kualitas air di rawa KM 35 berdasarkan parameter fisika, paramater kimia, dan parameter biologi, dan mengetahui status mutu air di rawa KM 35 berdasarkan standar kualitas air pada kelas IV untuk sumber irigasi pertanian tanaman padi. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan September sampai Oktober 2015, di rawa KM 35 Desa Rantau Makmur Kecamatan Rantau Pulung Kabupaten Kutai Timur. Dan pengujian sampel dilakukan di Laboratorium Fakultas Ilmu Kelautan dan Perikanan Universitas Mulawarman Samarinda. Penentuan status mutu air dengan menggunakan metode storet sistem penilaian US-EPA (United Status Environment Protection Agency) dan mengacu pada peraturan pemerintah No.82 tahun 2001. Hasil analisis berdasarkan parameter menunjukan bahwa kondisi air memenuhi baku mutu standar kualitas air berdasarkan peraturan pemerintah No. 82 tahun 2001. Parameter fisika yang meliputi suhu air rawa 27,7oC, warna 4,75 PtCo, Kekeruhan 183,6 NTU. Parameter kimia meliputi pH 6,3, BOD 1.39 mg/lt, COD 7,20 mg/lt, DO 3,65 mg/lt, Nitrat 2,89 mg/lt, Mangan di bawah batas limit, Besi 0,58 mg/lt, Khlorida 5,33 mg/lt, Nitrit 0,007 mg/lt, dan Sulfat 10,37 mg/lt. Parameter biologi meliputi Total Cloriform 90 MPN/100ml. Hasil analisis tersebut menunjukan kondisi air rawa pada kelas IV status mutu air baik atau memenuhi baku mutu, untuk sumber irigasi pertanian terutama tanaman padi.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were (1) to determine the social, economic, and environmental impacts of MSMEs Partners after using digital applications (2) to identify the effects of the utilization digital applications on the empowerment of MSMEs Partners. The sampling technique used saturated sampling, where all members of the MSMEs partners who had used digital applications in their business were used as samples in this research. The data analysis method was descriptive statistics with SPSS program, and SEM-PLS with the SmartPLS version 3.0 software. The results showed that the highest mean value of descriptive statistics was the economic impact with a value of 3.94 and a standard deviation of 0.70. It stated the utilization of digital applications has an economic impact on MSMEs Partners Community Development Officier PT. KPC. The variables (impact) of the utilization digital applications that have a significant effects on the empowerment of MSMEs Partners are economic impacts and social impacts, while environmental impacts do not have a significant effect on the empowerment of MSMEs Partners. Keywords: Digital Applications, Empowerment MSMEs, Partial Least Square.

Abstract

Peran unsur hara makro terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil bawang merah (Allium cepa L.). penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Juli – September 2020 di Kebun Percobaan Program Studi Agroteknologi STIPER Kutai Timur. Penelitian menggunakan metode survei dengan mengambil sampel tanah pada masing-masing titik sampling untuk dilakukan analisis unsur hara makro tanah di laboratorium. Analisis data menggunakan regresi linier berganda ditujukan untuk mengidentifikasi unsur hara makro tanah yang paling erat hubungannya dengan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah, serta mencari bentuk hubungan antara peubah unsur hara makro tanah tersebut dengan peubah pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah (jumlah daun, jumlah anakan, jumlah umbi dan berat umbi). Hasi penelitian menunjukan bahwa unsur hara pada lokasi penelitian memiliki kandungan N-total sangat rendah-tinggi, P-tersedia tinggi-sangat tinggi dan K-tersedia sangat rendah. Unsur hara N memberikan hubungan yang negatif terhadap semua parameter, kandungan unsur N yang rendah tidak dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan vegetatif.  unsur P memberikan hubungan positif hanya pada jumlah anakan, kandungan P dalam tanah mempercepat pertumbuhan akar dan jumlah anakan. Unsur K memberikan hubungan positif terhadap semua parameter. Unsur K dalam tanah yang cukup membantu dalam metabolisme pertumbuhan tanaman.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in several government-related activities being carried out online. One of them was a public consultation on the development of the Taman Botani Kutai Timur. This activity aimed to find out the recent conditions and potential developments that can be reached from Taman Botani as a green open area. The activity was carried out through focus group discussions, presenting researchers and practitioners from parties representing the central government, provincial governments, district governments, relevant government institutions, academics, community institutions, and other interested communities. The meetings held revealed that Taman Botani has potential to be developed for the better. One of the suggestions that emerged was to develop it into a regional botanical garden. Otherwise, its successful development requires a strong commitment from the local government regarding policy formulation and funding allocation. In addition, the development of Taman Botani requires monitoring from the community in the form of policy advocacy.

Abstract

At this time many food processing used chemical preservatives that can interfered human health. Dayak onion plants was widely used as medicine because they contain antimicrobial substances. Efforts to increase the used of natural preservatives from plants so that plants would be able to replace chemical preservatives. However, this plant had not been used as a natural preservative so there was a need for research to increase knowledge of other benefits, especially as preservatives for stored livestock products. The purpose of this study is to determine the best concentration of boiled water of dayak onion (Eleutherine palmifolia (l.) Merr) to inhibiting the growth of escherichia coli bacteria and how long the meat has been stored is still in good condition at room temperature and how much was the best concentration of boiled water of Dayak onions. The method used was descriptive analysis. The stages of the study were the manufactured of boiled water of dayak onion 0, 10, 20 and 30% w/v, soaked for 15 minutes, packed, storaged at room temperature 22-32 OC and E. coli tested at the Animal Health and Veterinary Public Health Laboratory of Samarinda. The results of the study were boiled water of dayak onion had an effect as an antimicrobial agent at a concentration of 30% w/v, there was a tendency to reduced the number of E. coli bacterial colonies in beef and the best storaged treatment was 1 day.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran usaha pengolahan nira nipah menjadi produk gula dan nilai tambah serta marjin dari gula nipah dalam bentuk gula sirup, gula semut dan gula cetak. Metode analisis nilai tambah yang digunakan adalah Metode Hayami (1987). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa nilai tambah gula sirup, gula semut dan gula cetak secara berturut-turut adalah Rp. 705,26 per liter nira nipah (13,75%), Rp. 203,27 per liter nira nipah (4,25%) dan Rp. 292,36 per liter nira nipah (6,29%). Kegiatan pengolahan nira nipah menjadi gula sirup, semut dan cetak memiliki nilai konversi 22,3%-17,1% dan yang paling menguntungkan adalah usaha gula sirup.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the characteristics of pyrolysis durian skin smoke, determine the characteristics of durian skin liquid smoke, and determine the yield of durian skin smoke after distillation. Liquid smoke is obtained from the pyrolysis of soft wood and hard wood, one of which is durian skin, durian skin can be used as a raw material in the manufacture of liquid smoke, Besides durian skin contains cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin compounds which are chemicals that form components of liquid smoke. One way to obtain the desired organoleptic properties is by distillation treatment, so it is hoped that the distillation method can produce higher quality liquid smoke as a preservative that is cheap and safe for health. Parameter values ​​of refractive index and pH of durian peel liquid smoke Pyrolysis results are greater than after distillation, except for acetic acid which is smaller. The refractive index value is 1,3572, the pH value is 4,901, and the acetic acid value is 6,172 N. The refractive index and pH values ​​of the distillated durian skin liquid smoke are smaller than those of pyrolysis, except that the acetic acid value is greater. The average value of the refractive index is 1,23467-1,34800, the pH value is 3,44067-2,51600, and the value of acetic acid is 7,37533-7,97600 N. The effect of temperature and distillation time affects the yield value of the resulting liquid smoke. The temperature and time of distillation affect the value of the volume of the distillation result. The higher the distillation temperature and time, the greater the yield. The best treatment is temperature 3 (150oC) and time 3 (90 minutes) of 84.66%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the best concentration of garlic extract in inhibiting e coli bacteria proliferation and the best storage time from beef meatballs has been soaked in garlic extract. Deskriptive statistical methods were used by soaking beef meatballs samples in garlic extract with different concentration, namely 0, 20, 40, and 60% for 15 minutes. Then samples are stored at room temperature ranging from 22-31 degrees celcius for 1, 3, and 5 days. The variable observed were e coli bacterial concentration using Total Plate Count (TPC) calculation. The results showed that the best concentration of garlic extract in inhibiting e coli bacterial proliferation was 40% and the best storage time was 1 day but can also be stored for 5 days

Abstract

The rice milling business that was most widely used by the community in the Busang sub-district was the Rice Milling Unit single phase. This study aims to test the performance and economic analysis of a single-phase rice milling business. The research method was descriptive using secondary data from the rice milling business and primary data obtained from interviews. The data parameters in this study were: work capacity, yield, efficiency, grain quality, stripping quality, and economic analysis. The rice varieties used in the performance test were kawan and sumping rice varieties. The results of the performance test of the single-phase rice mill is that the average working capacity of the kawan rice variety was 260.9 kg/hour with a yield of 65% and the sumping rice variety was 254.2 kg/hour with a yield of 59%. The stripping efficiency value of the kawan rice variety was 39.27% while the sumping rice variety was 34.78%. Milled rice was not yet the criteria for medium rice (SNI 01-0224-1987), this was due to the milling process that is carried out repeatedly so that it produces rice groats were high. The economic analysis of the rice milling business in Long Lees Village has an NPV value of Rp. 42,536,000, a B/C ratio value of 1.67, and an IRR value of 37% which indicates that the rice milling business was feasible.

Abstract

The variety of tribes in East Kalimantan also has various forms of motifs and carving patterns. Efforts to continue to preserve the local arts and culture of East Kalimantan, especially the Dayak Basap tribe, require the support of every stage holder/stakeholder. One of the efforts that have been implemented is community empowerment towards the introduction of batik culture and the ability to generate other income from batik activities. The Empowerment Program implemented by PT KPC is an investment. As a consequence of an investment, it is important for investors to know the results of the investment. In practice, many companies have not carried out an assessment process for the social investments that have been made, especially in terms of indirect results (outcomes) and related to the resulting impacts. This research was conducted in October 2021 in batik SMEs located in North Sangatta District, East Kutai Regency. The basic method used in this research is descriptive analysis, which is a problem-solving procedure that is investigated by describing or describing the current state of the object of research in accordance with the facts obtained in the field. The "Natural Wakakrorosku" program is a community empowerment program, especially batik SMEs by prioritizing cultural and environmental sustainability which raises the potential of the carving art of the East Kuti community into batik cloth and the concept of zero waste.
