Abstract

This study aims to determine the students’ learning outcomes, students’ activities and students’ response of Osborn model with the Brainstorming technique using the matlab application in the numerical method subjects, especially in the roots of nonlinear equations material. This research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were 6 students of sixth semester. Data collected are through observation of student activities, test questions and student response sheets. While data analysis techniques are carried out using the mean and percentage formulas. The results showed that at the 1st meeting the mean student activity reached 84,5%, the second meeting reached 95,2%, and the 3rd meeting reached 98,2%. Student learning outcomes are the lowest 81 and the highest is 93.5. While the percentage of student responses 93.3% is very good category. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that Osborn Learning Model with the Brainstorming technique by applying matlab application is effective on student learning outcomes in numerical method subjects.

Abstract

The low student learning outcomes in mathematics can be caused by the use of learning methods that are not in accordance with the material to be delivered, so that students do not play an active role in learning activities that affect student learning outcomes. Research with the Brainstorming learning method at MTs Nurul Jannah aims to determine whether there is an influence of the Brainstorming learning method on student learning outcomes on the subject of Two Variable Linear Equation Systems in class VIII MTs Nurul Jannah Palengaan Pamekasan. This research is a quantitative research with an experimental type of research. Based on the data obtained in the form of student learning outcomes after data analysis using the t-test was obtained, the average for the experimental class was 77,1 higher than the control class, namely 68,05 using a two-party test with a significant level of 5% and interval 95% confidence is 2,571 ≥ 2,022 ( ≥ ) so it can be concluded that there is an influence of the brainstorming learning method on student learning outcomes on the subject of the Two-variable Linear Equation System for class VIII MTs Nurul Jannah Palengaan

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether or not there is a difference in learning achievement between students who are taught using a direct teaching model assisted by cardboard media and ICT media on flat sided geometric material. While the research method used is quantitative and comparative research because the data obtained is in the form of numbers from the test results and from the test results the difference can be seen. The population in the study were all fifth grade students at SD Plus Nurul Hikmah Pamekasan. Researchers used a purposive random sampling technique in determining the research sample. Class VA as the control class as many as 21 students and class VD as the experimental class as many as 23 students. The data collection technique used is a test in the form of essay questions. While the data analysis technique used is the t-test. Based on the results of data analysis, the value of tcount = 1.92 and ttable = 2.021 with dk = (23+21-2) = 42 at a significant level of 5%. Thus tcount < ttable means that H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected. So it can be concluded that there is no difference in learning achievement between students who are taught using a direct teaching model assisted by cardboard media and ICT media on flat sided geometric material.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the written mathematical communication of high school students on linear program questions based on gender. This research was conducted at SMAN 3 Pamekasan class XI MIPA I. The subjects in this study were 2 students out of 32 students of class XI MIPA I who were the superior class of mathematics selected by purposive sampling. This research uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The instruments used were Mathematics Ability Test, written Mathematical Communication Test and Interview Guidelines. Data were analyzed descriptively in the form of qualitative data obtained from the results of the Written Test to describe students' written mathematical communication. The results showed that female students were more dominant than male students in the cognitive domain and completed written math problems in full.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the types of student errors in solving problems based on Newman Error Analysis (NEA) in terms of learning styles, namely visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. This type of research uses qualitative-descriptive research. The technique used to collect data in this study was to fill out a learning style questionnaire, problem solving tests, interviews, and documentation and then triangulated to obtain valid data. The results showed: (1) subjects with visual learning styles made mistakes at the stage of process skills (process skills) and writing answers (encoding). (2) subjects with auditory learning styles make mistakes in the stages of understanding (comprehension), transformating (transformation), processing skills (process skills) and writing answers (encoding). (3) subjects with a kinesthetic learning style make mistakes in the transformation, process skills, and writing answers (encoding) stages.

Abstract

The important role of MSMEs is increasingly being felt in the process of national economic development in Indonesia. Branta Tinggi Village is one of the villages in Tlanakan District, Pamekasan Regency which has a large number of MSMEs. However, there are still many MSME owners in Branta Tinggi Village who do not understand the importance of business legality in the form of making a Business Identification Number (NIB), because some people have an understanding that obtaining business permits and legality is a complicated and time-consuming matter. Meanwhile, the Business Identification Number (NIB) itself plays an important role in running a business. In carrying out this community service activity, the University of Madura KKN 4 Team is trying to increase the potential of MSMEs to improve the welfare of the people of Branta Tinggi Village. One of them is by helping to make NIB (Business Identification Number) in 3 hamlets. This community service activity is given in making a Business Identification Number (NIB) which is carried out through the door to door method where this service activity is carried out in real time by visiting the residence of each UMKM in three hamlets in the village of Branta Tinggi.

Abstract

The low student learning outcomes in the measurement material can be caused by the tendency of teachers to only transfer their knowledge to students' minds so that students are passive, and not critical. One learning approach that pays attention to this situation is a realistic mathematical approach based on Madura local wisdom. Students are presented with contextual problems, namely problems related to measurements, so that they are trained to get used to solving problems in their daily lives. To support this realistic mathematics approach, a clopedimatics-based learning media will be designed as a substitute for textbooks used by students. Clopedimatics is a form of print media that is compiled based on the concept of compiling an Encyclopedia and designed to help students master the measurement material and is associated with non-standard units of measurement used by the Madurese community. This type of research is development research that uses a 4-D model but has been modified to 3-D, namely defining, designing, and developing. The conclusions of this study are development of clopedimatic learning media with a realistic mathematics approach based on Madurese local wisdom in the measurement material at SDN Barkot 1 Pamekasan meets the valid, practical, and effective criteria.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the analysis of students' critical thinking abilities with high mathematics abilities in solving functional problems at SMAN 1 Pamekasan. This research was conducted at SMAN 1 Pamekasan with the research subjects of 3 students with high math abilities from 36 students of class X-F. This research is a case study with a qualitative approach. Data is collected through test methods, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study explain that in solving the function problems in the form of a story about the linear function of the three subjects able to fulfill all indicators of critical thinking, namely interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, explanation, and self-regulation. However, the three subjects have different critical thinking abilities when solving problems in the form of stories about quadratic function. The difference is the first subject meets all indicators of critical thinking, the second subject meets all critical thinking indicators except inference and self-regulation indicators, while the third subject only fulfills evaluation and explanation indicators. Information about the description of students' critical thinking abilities with high mathematics ability can be used as information to design the right learning process in the world of education.
