Abstract

Long-term meteorological data is very useful for identifying signs of climate change phenomena. The phenomenon refers to long-term changes in the physical conditions of the Earth's atmosphere, such as temperature and weather patterns. This has a huge impact, especially in Banyuwangi, which is one of the largest rice production areas in East Java. Predicting monthly rainfall trends is important to anticipate crop failures due to extreme weather and natural disasters such as floods and landslide. This research uses weather parameters on a global scale, such as temperature, rain, evaporation, surface humidity, and sea level pressure, while for local-scale information, it uses monthly rainfall data in the Banyuwangi area from 2011 to 2023.The extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost) method will be used to predict monthly rainfall in an ensemble learning model based on the boosting approach. In particular, this study emphasizes its ability to build predictive models on limited time series and the impact of data splitting on model performance. The best results were shown by the model with a data split ratio of 1:12, or covering 80% of the data as training data. The model accuracy achieved a MAE of 72.579 mm in training and 80.777 mm in testing. In addition, the RMSE was 95.940 mm in training and 95.775 mm in testing. The results of this study are expected to be a reference for building a more optimal long-term weather forecast model.

Abstract

Abstract: Linear equations and inequalities have many real-world applications but are often considered challenging due to their abstract nature. Technology-based learning approaches, such as GeoGebra applications, are effective alternatives to help students understand algebraic concepts through visual and interactive methods. This training aims to enhance students' understanding and interest in mathematics by presenting materials, demonstrations, and hands-on practice in applying the systems of linear equations and inequalities. The results indicate improved student comprehension and readiness for an increasingly digitalized education.Keywords: linear equations, linear inequalities, geogebra, interactive training Abstrak: Persamaan dan pertidaksamaan linear memiliki berbagai aplikasi nyata, namun sering dianggap sulit karena sifatnya yang abstrak. Pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis teknologi, seperti penggunaan aplikasi GeoGebra, menjadi alternatif efektif untuk membantu siswa memahami konsep aljabar melalui metode visual dan interaktif. Pelatihan ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan minat siswa terhadap matematika dengan menyajikan materi, demonstrasi, dan praktik langsung dalam mengaplikasikan konsep sistem persamaan dan pertidaksamaan linear. Abstract

This research aims to demonstrate the impact of implementing a Website-based Blended Learning method in enhancing student creativity to support basic mathematics learning. The method used in this study employs the ADDIE development model with 5 stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The resulting learning product underwent validity testing by experts and practicality assessment by students. The products created through student creativity were evaluated using a Paired-sample T-Test to determine whether they were flexible, novel, and elaborative in relation to technological advancements. Research results calculated using SPSS 23 show that the product's practicality score is 0.989, meaning the product is deemed suitable with a "very good" category. The learning model, in the form of a website-based Blended Learning model, proved to be valid and practical when tested based on learning indicators (face-to-face and online), learning materials, and learning media. Consequently, this model is effective in influencing the development of student creativity in studying basic mathematics

Abstract

This study employs the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, conducted in one cycle. The researcher follows the cycle stages, which include pre-implementation, planning, classroom action execution, observation, and reflection, to assess the improvement in students' learning interest. The objective of this research is to determine whether the Make A Match model, supported by digital media, can enhance the learning interest of seventh-grade students at MTs Puspa Bangsa Cluring, consisting of 16 students, in the topic of sets. Data collection techniques utilized by the researcher include learning outcome tests with item validity testing, reliability testing of cognitive test results, differential power testing for each item, and difficulty testing for each question. Additionally, observations and field notes are conducted. The data analysis results indicate that mathematics instruction using the Make A Match model significantly improves students' learning interest, with mastery scores increasing from 31.25% (pre-test) to 87.5% (post-test). Furthermore, students' interest in learning, based on their activity levels, is assessed at 80.56%, categorized as good.

Abstract

Penelitian ini tentang analisa faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap minat belajar matematika dari peserta didik SD Sarimulyo. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan secara detail faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi dan bagaimana pengaruhnya terhadap minat belajar matematika. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan dan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskripstif, penelitian ini berupaya menggambarkan keadaan sesungguhnya pada saat pelaksanaan penelitian dan menjabarkan keadaan objek dengan apa adanya. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan metode survey dan angket yang dibagikan kepada 16 peserta didik yang menjadi responden penelitian. Dari hasil penelitian, didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi minat belajar peserta didik SD Sarimulyo diantaranya adalah faktor internal yang terdiri dari kondisi jasmani dan kondisi rohani peserta didik, dan faktor eksternal yaitu cara mengajar guru matematika di sekolah dan dukungan dari orang tua di rumah. Dari keempat faktor tersebut, cara mengajar guru disekolah merupakan faktor yang paling berpengaruh terhadap minat belajat matematika dibandingkan dengan faktor yang lain. Ketiga faktor lainnya memiliki pengaruh namun tidak signifikan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran etnomatematika dalam pembelajaran matematika di tingkat Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Etnomatematika merupakan pendekatan pembelajaran yang mengaitkan konsep-konsep matematika dengan budaya lokal, sehingga siswa dapat memahami matematika melalui konteks kehidupan sehari-hari yang lebih dekat dengan mereka. Dalam pembelajaran di SMA, pendekatan ini berpotensi meningkatkan minat belajar, pemahaman konsep, serta sikap positif siswa terhadap matematika. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi literatur dan analisis kualitatif terhadap beberapa penerapan etnomatematika dalam materi seperti geometri, pola bilangan, dan statistika. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi etnomatematika mampu menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih kontekstual, interaktif, dan bermakna. Selain itu, pendekatan ini juga memperkuat pelestarian budaya lokal serta menumbuhkan rasa identitas dan kebanggaan siswa terhadap warisan budayanya. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi pendidik untuk mulai mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis etnomatematika sebagai bagian dari inovasi dalam pembelajaran matematika).

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya keaktifan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran matematika yang ditandai dengan minimnya partisipasi siswa dalam bertanya, menjawab pertanyaan, dan berdiskusi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII yang berjumlah 25 siswa. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran TPS dan untuk mengetahui peningkatkan keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika di kelas VIII SMP Al- Hidayah Blimbingsari pada materi bangun ruang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada semester genap tahun pelajaran 2024/2025 di bulan November sampai Desember 2025 dalam dua siklus, masing-masing siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, tes pemahaman, dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keaktifan siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II. Pada siklus I, persentase keaktifan siswa mencapai 44%, meningkat menjadi 72% pada siklus II. Pemahaman siswa juga mengalami peningkatan dari dengan ketuntasan klasikal meningkat dari 60% menjadi 88%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share dapat meningkatkan keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika di kelas VIII SMP Plus Al Hidayah Blimbingsari.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of implementing deep learning based on problem-based reading to improve the critical reading literacy of elementary school students within the Merdeka Curriculum framework. A quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group pattern was employed. The research subjects were 64 fifth-grade students of SDN 1 Kencong, divided into an experimental group (n=32) and a control group (n=32). A validated critical reading literacy test based on the PIRLS framework was used as the data collection instrument. Data were analyzed using an independent sample t-test. The results showed a significant difference between the critical reading literacy of the experimental group (posttest mean = 81.56) and the control group (posttest mean = 70.43), with t = 6.842 and sig. = 0.000 (p < 0.05). The gain score of the experimental group (19.22) was significantly higher than that of the control group (8.65). This study concludes that problem-based reading-based deep learning is effective in improving elementary students' critical reading literacy and is aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum's orientation toward the Pancasila Student Profile.

Abstract

This study aims to develop early childhood language skills through storytelling methods. Early childhood is in its golden age where their development is very rapid and sensitive to various stimuli. Language as a means of communication plays an important role in child development. This study used literature study and interview methods to collect data. Data analysis is carried out with the Miles and Huberman model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. The findings showed that the use of media such as picture storybooks, hand puppets, calendar big books, series drawings, finger puppets, and flannel boards can significantly improve children's language skills. These media not only make storytelling activities more interesting but also support the development of receptive and expressive aspects of children's language. The conclusion of this study is that storytelling methods with the support of the right media can be an effective way to develop early childhood language skills.
