Abstract

This research constitutes about the characteristic of WMT with RVGM-based to train Student’s critical thinking skills at vocational high school. The observational problem is how characteristic of WMT with RVGM-based to train Student’s critical thinking skills at vocational high school? This problem is enlightened deep two observational questions. First, what Binds WMT with RVGMbased application example comprising principle wave and magnet that train student’s critical thinking skills? Both of, how patterns to writing WMT with RVGM-based to vocational high school? This research constitutes development research binds textbooks, by use of mixed method exploratory model, which is gathered qualitatives data, then builds draft Physics Textbooks to becomes books validated ready. The subject in observational it is WMT with RVGMbased that can train Student’s critical thinking skills at vocational high school. Meanwhile, its respondent is student braze XI at vocational high school. Data collecting tech is observation, questionnaire, essay, and document. Observational data to be described qualitatively. Result observational to point out that WMT with RVGM-based application example comprising principle Wave and magnet that train Student’s critical thinking skills; and has given writing pattern, which has chapter heading thread, chapter sub title, the breakdown of material, trifling example, summary, ability quiz problem, and literature.

Abstract

Scientific motivation and creativity are important components that must be developed in learning physics. Some research has been done to develop motivation and scientific creativity but still experience obstacles in the form of a lack of learning modules that can be used as a guide for students in independent learning. The author offers flip book innovations on the principles of the Maglev train on electromagnetic induction material to foster learning motivation and scientific creativity. This flip book consists of material and test instruments. The material covers the history of the Maglev train, parts of the Maglev train, the principles of the Maglev train, each of which is analyzed by Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematic. The results of this study are obtaining flip books on the subject of class XII electromagnetic induction to foster learning motivation and scientific creativity.

Abstract

Critical thinking is a skill that needs to be developed, practiced, and applied in the curriculum so that students are actively involved in learning. Learning activities that require students to analyze, synthesize, and evaluate information to solve problems and make decisions can sharpen critical thinking skills. The essential thinking ability of elementary school students still needs to be improved because the teacher still dominates the implementation and learning process. This study aims to improve the critical thinking skills of elementary school students through learning composter innovation. The learning was carried out during two face-to-face meetings with the learning material about composters. During the learning process, teaching and learning activities are more oriented towards student-centered learning, where students learn by observing, asking questions, and evaluating. Students also practice making composter innovations from materials obtained from the surrounding environment. Students' critical thinking is measured by using several questions posed to students. The results showed that the essential thinking ability of most of the students had increased. Learning by utilizing natural objects like this can be an alternative for teachers to improve the critical thinking skills of elementary school students

Abstract

Student worksheet science based on process image is a printed material that presents a series of images of objects (objects, events, or phenomena), the images in the series between each other always appear to be relatively different in terms (state, position, shape, Combinations) which as a whole illustrate a coherent stage of events in a unified whole. A student worksheet is able to facilitate students in reviewing the material independently, so that materialised learning the science of student centred learning. The purpose of this study is to examine the use of student worksheet based on the image of light concept process for practical and effective junior high school student learning. This research design uses one group pretest-posttest design. The result of the research shows that learning activity is increasing up to reach 83,18%, and respondent gives a positive response with 'good' criterion. N-gain increased understanding of the concept of light by 0.628 on moderate criteria and supported with retention of 99.6%. The use of student worksheets based on the image of light concept process is practical and effective for improving students' understanding, as well as knowledge can be stored for longer in student memory.
