Abstract

This study applies the unidimensional Rasch Model assumptions in identifying physics learning difficulties based on students' self-regulation abilities. A total of 126 physics teacher candidates have been observed for one semester. Self-project as a learning strategy has been used. Data were collected using 20 items in rating scales and then analyzed quantitatively to get feasibility in measuring self-regulation skills. The results have shown that the profile items analyzed by the Rasch Model are feasible to measure self-regulation skills through a self-sustaining project strategy. Most physics teacher candidates have a medium ability of 51% in the process of self-regulation, high = 33%, and low = 16%. The implications of applying self-projects to the processes of self-regulation are discussed in this article.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) produce an  android-based Physics learning media on static fluids materials for senior high school students, (2) know whether the android-based Physics learning media is able to improve the students cognitive learning achievement viewed from the motivation. This study is kind of Research and Development. The product of the development was applied in the experiment class, while the conventional learning was applied in the control class. This study used quasi experiment method by applying the nonequivalent control-group design. This study consisted of (1) planning, (2) designing the product, and (3) developing the product. The study results of this research were that android-based physics learning media is rated good by the materials experts, media experts, Physics teachers, colleagues, and students, and stated as appropriate to be used implemented as physics learning media. Then the research concluded that  the Android-based Physics learning media is not able to improve the cognitive learning achievement viewed from the learning motivation.

Abstract

Ada tiga permasalahan yang dipecahkan melalui penelitian ini, yaitu: Bagaimana pengembangan penilaian otentik di SMP Negeri I Ngemplak sehingga guru mendapatkan pengalaman pengelolaan pembelajaran fisika melalui penilaian otentik? Bagaimana langkah pengembangan penilaian otentik yang dapat mendorong guru agar mampu menerapkan penilaian otentik dalam pembelajaran fisika? Bagaimana memberikan alternatif bentuk  penilaian yang dapat memberikan keyakinan kepada guru bahwa pembelajaran dan penilaian otentik bersifat kontekstual? Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang berkolaborasi dengan dua orang guru fisika di SMP Negeri I Ngemplak. Subjek penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah siswa kelas IXc berjumlah 40 orang. Walaupun sekolah sudah memiliki sejumlah perangkat komputer untuk pembelajaran, namun subjek penelitian tidak mendapat mata pelajaran Teknologi Informasi. Sebagian besar siswa-siswa ini tidak memiliki dan belum terbiasa dengan perangkat komputer, sehingga pada umumnya mereka belum dapat mengoperasikan komputer dengan baik. Dalam penelitian tindakan kelas ini telah dilakukan sebanyak 3 siklus yang ternyata mampu memberikan suasana pembelajaran fisika di SMP Negeri I Ngemplak Sleman secara interaktif dan kondusif. Ada dua strategi pembelajaran fisika di dalam penelitian ini, yakni menggunakan media interaktif berupa program software komputer dan kegiatan praktikum. Kedua strategi tersebut menekankan kemandirian siswa dalam berinteraksi dengan sumber dan bahan ajar serta kerjasama di dalam kelompok. Strategi FIKIR melalui media komputer dan media praktikum sangat efektif untuk meningkatkan minat dan partisipasi belajar serta hasil belajar fisika siswa-siswa kelas IXc SMP Negeri I Ngemplak, Sleman, Yogyakarta.   Kata-kata kunci: penilaian otentik, strategi FIKIR

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menghasilkan model outdoor learning melalui project berbasis local wisdom yang layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran fisika, (2) mengetahui keefektifan penggunaan model outdoor learning melalui project berbasis local wisdom. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan metode pengembangan R D (Research dan Development). Pada tahap Development, peneliti mengadopsi model 4D, yaitu Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model outdoor learning melalui project berbasis local wisdom yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dari segi produk pendukung pembelajaran yang memenuhi kriteria sangat tinggi menurut para ahli, praktis menurut guru dan peserta didik. Lembar observasi yang memenuhi kriteria valid dan reliabel berdasarkan hasil ICC dan tes hasil belajar yang memenuhi kriteria valid dan reliabel berdasarkan hasil Quest. Selain itu, model outdoor learning melalui project berbasis local wisdom lebih efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran fisika dilihat dari hasil analisis multivariate dan GLMMDs yang memperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,000 dan MD yang tinggi.   AbstractThis research was aimed to: (1) produce outdoor learning via project based suitable local wisdom model used in physics learning, (2) know the effectiveness in using outdoor learning via project based local wisdom model. This developing research used a R D method (Research and Development). On Development step, the researcher adopted 4D model, they were Define, Design, Develop, dan Dissemination. The results showed that the developed outdoor learning via project based local wisdom model was suitable to be used in terms of learning support product that was in very high category according expert, practical according teacher and students. In addition the observation sheet was in valid criteria and reliabel based on ICC and the learning outcome test was in valid criteria and reliabel based on Quest. Besides, outdoor learning via project based local wisdom model was effective to be used in physics learning, seen from analysis result of multivariate and GLMMDs got 0,000 significant score and very high of MD.

Abstract

This study was aimed to investigate the influence of Creativity Authentic Literacy Learning Model with development to increase student activity in PGMI. Students of 5th semester majoring in PGMI, Unipdu, Jombang, were subjected with the tested learning method. The study was conducted in September-November 2018 with experimental method. Students’ performance was assesed through cognitive tests, observation, and interviews. Results of this study indicate that Science learning with Creativity Authentic Literacy Learning skill of learning to improve students achievement. Overall Creativity Authentic Literacy Learning syntax implemented 100%. Student activity during learning activities show that students learn actively.

Abstract

Through the conduct of the study, the researchers aim at: (1) developing audiovisual media through well-qualified SETS approach so that the audiovisual media will be feasible for implementation; (2) identifying the level of the students’ critical thinking skills after the students have made use of the SETS approach-based audiovisual media; and (3) identifying the differences on the level of the critical thinking skills between the students who make use of the SETS approach-based audiovisual media and the students who do not make use of the SETS approach-based audiovisual media. This study is a Research & Development (R&D) initiative that refers to seven steps as follows: (1) gathering the necessary information; (2) designing the product; (3) developing the preliminary product; (4) performing preliminary field experiment; (5) revising the product based on the preliminary experiment results; (6) performing the main field experiment; and (7) revising the product based on the main field experiment results. After the overall process in the study has been completed, the results of the study show that: (1) the SETS approach-based audiovisual media has already met the feasibility criteria; (2) the achievement on the students’ critical thinking skills after the implementation of the SETS approach-based audiovisual media is 0.25; and (3) there have been differences on the level of the critical thinking skills between the students who make use of the SETS approach-based audiovisual media and the students who do not make use of the SETS approach-based audiovisual media.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan handout fluida dinamik terintegrasi metakognisi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan. Subyek penelitian ini adalah guru fisika dan siswa kelas XI IPA pada SMAN 8 Yogyakarta dan MAN Laboratorium UIN Yogyakarta. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar penilaian kualitas handout oleh ahli pendidikan fisika dan guru fisika, lembar tanggapan siswa terhadap kualitas handout, tes awal dan tes akhir kemampuan menerapkan prinsip fluida dinamik, lembar tanggapan guru fisika dan siswa terhadap penggunaan handout. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif, analisis gain score, dan analisis varians dua jalur. Hasil penilaian ahli dan guru menunjukkan bahwa handout memiliki kualitas yang sangat baik. Hasil uji lapangan menunjukkan bahwa handout memiliki kualitas yang baik menurut tanggapan siswa, penggunaan handout menghasilkan peningkatan kemampuan menerapkan prinsip fluida dinamik siswa SMA dan MA yang signifikan, dan handout sangat praktis digunakan menurut guru fisika SMA dan praktis menurut siswa SMA. Developing handout of fluid dynamics integrated by metacognition to improve application ability of SMA and MA students AbstractThis research aims to develop a handout of fluid dynamics integrated by metacognition. This type of research is research and development. The subjects of this study were a SMA/MA physics teacher and XI IPA grade students at SMAN 8 Yogyakarta and MAN Laboratory UIN Yogyakarta. The instruments used in this study were in the form of quality assessment sheet of teaching materials handout by physics education experts and SMA/MA physics teachers, students response sheet on the quality of teaching materials handout, initial and final test of application competence of the principles of fluid dynamics, and SMA/MA physics teacher and students response sheet on the use of the teaching materials handout. The data analysis technique used in this research was descriptive analysis, analysis of gain score, and two way analysis of variance. The expert and physics teacher assessment results show that the handout developed has a very good quality. Field testing results show that the handout developed has good quality according to student responses, the use of this handout can result significant improvement on the students ability to apply the principles of fluid dynamics at SMAN 8 Yogyakarta and MAN Laboratory UIN Yogyakarta, and the use of the handout is very practical according to SMA physics teacher and practical according to SMA students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan dan keefektifan video pembelajaran fisika berbasis kontekstual untuk meningkatkan minat belajar dan pemahaman konsep peserta didik SMA pada materi Dinamika Rotasi dan Kesetimbangan Benda Tegar. Desain peneltian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan (RD) modifikasi model Bragg and Gall. Validasi instrumen dilakukan oleh dosen ahli dan praktisi. Uji coba terbatas diujikan kepada 10 peserta didik dan uji coba luas diujikan kepada 60 peserta didik kelas XI MIPA MAN 1 Kudus. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan uji MANOVA. Hasil penelitian ini adaalah : (1) Pengembangan media pembelajaran video berbasis kontekstual pada materi dinamika rotasi dan kesetimbangan benda tegar mendapat hasil uji kelayakan dengan skor 4,6 dan respon peserta didik terhadap media menarik dengan skor 4,3 sehingga video layak digunakan (2) Video berbasis kontekstual efektif untuk meningkatkan minat dan pemahaman konsep peserta didik.Kata kunci : Pengembangan media pembelajaran video, pendekatan konstekstual, minat belajar, pemahaman konsep

Abstract

Abstrak- Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh produk instrumen penilaian berbasis proyek mind mapping yang layak untuk mengukur penguasaan konsep fisika dan keterampilan berpikir kreatif peserta didik. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan modifikasi model Wilson dan Oriondo dan Antonio. Validitas instrumen dilakukan dengan expert judgement oleh ahli pendidikan fisika dan praktisi. Instrumen penilaian diujikan kepada 11 peserta didik untuk uji terbatas dan 32 peserta didik untuk uji luas. Teknik analisis data digunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah telah dihasilkan instrumen penilaian berbasis proyek mind mapping yang memenuhi syarat untuk mengukur penguasaan konsep fisika dan keterampilan berpikir kreatif peserta didik dengan rata-rata hasil validasi dari ahli dan praktisi sebesar 60,5.Kata-Kata Kunci: pengembangan, instrumen penilaian proyek mind mapping, penguasaan konsep fisika, keterampilan berpikir kreatif.

Abstract

The achievement of students’ learning outcomes in physics lessons has a low tendency, this is due to various factors, one of which is higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) based learning that has not been fully implemented in the learning process and assessment. This study aimed to determine the differences in the Synectic-HOTS learning model in physics compared to conventional learning models. This study used a quasi-experimental study with a pre-test–post-test nonequivalent control group design. The instrument used in this study is a two-tier test question that contains 20 items of HOTS aspect. The prerequisite test showed that the data was not homogeneous, while the results of the data homogeneity test were stated to be homogeneous. Therefore, a non-parametric test was carried out using the Mann-Whitney U-test. Based on the results of the data analysis, the Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) for the pre-test was 0.111 and the post-test was 0.001 (p=.000<05). The effect size calculation shows that the Synectic learning model is effective in the medium category. These results indicate that the application of the SynecticHOTS model significantly improves HOTS when compared to conventional learning models. This work can open up insights to teachers about alternative, creative, and effective learning models to improve higher-order thinking skills and student learning outcomes.
