Abstract

Metacognition skills (MS) is an individual's ability to evaluate and regulate his own thinking. Critical thinking skills (CTS) is the ability to apply the knowledge to solve problems, evaluate information, and make solutions. Conceptual understanding (CU) refers to an integrated and functional understanding of scientific knowledge. This study aims to analyze the correlation between MS and CU on motion system; CTS and CU; and MS and CTS. This research was conducted at Public High School (PHS) 3 Bekasi in February – March 2021 by involving a sample of 110 students of Grade 11 Mathematics and Science Class, who were selected through simple random sampling technique. The instrument used were the essay test, and a multiple-choice test distributed online. The research method is descriptive method with correlational studies. The results show that there is a positive relationship between MS and CU on Motion System with a correlation of 0.967; CTS and CU with a correlation of 0.431; and MS and CTS with a correlation of 0.978.

Abstract

The respiratory system is one of the topics in Biology that requires students’ Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). In the respiratory system learning, teachers can implement constructivism-oriented learning models, such as Reading, Mind Mapping, Sharing (RMS) and Reading, Questioning, Answering (RQA). This study aims to measure students’ HOTS and analyze differences in the implementation of RMS and RQA learning models for students’ HOTS in the respiratory system topic. The research method is a quasi-experiment with pretest-posttest control group design as the research design. The research employs two experimental classes for the RMS and RQA model and one control class. The research population is the SMAN students in DKI Jakarta Province. The research sample consists of 81 students selected using a multistage sampling. The percentage results of HOTS categorization indicate an improvement in the percentage of students in the high HOTS category in each class. The hypothetical testing conducted using One Way Inova at α=0.05 gains a significance value of 0.139. The research results suggest no significant differences between RMS and RMQ learning models for HOTS in the respiratory system topic.

Abstract

Proenvironmental behavior is a behavior that seeks to minimize negative impacts on the environment which could be influenced by several factors, one of which is motivation. This study aims to analyze the direct effect of motivation on proenvironmental behavior. This research was conducted using quantitative approach with causal survey method and analyzed using path analysis. The number of samples used as respondents is 200 students from class XI MIA SMAN 1 Tangerang Regency. Based on the results, a conclusion could be made that there is a positive direct effect of personality on proenvironmental behavior with a path analysis coefficient of 0.159. There is a positive direct effect of motivation on proenvironmental behavior with a path coefficient of 0.486. Keywords: Motivation, Pro Environment Behavior, Path Analysis. Abstrak. Perilaku pro lingkungan adalah perilaku yang berupaya meminimalkan dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan yang dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, salah satunya adalah motivasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh langsung motivasi terhadap perilaku pro lingkungan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei kausal dan dianalisis menggunakan analisis jalur. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan sebagai responden adalah 200 siswa kelas XI MIA SMAN 1 Kabupaten Tangerang. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh langsung positif kepribadian terhadap perilaku proenvironmental dengan koefisien analisis jalur sebesar 0,159. Ada pengaruh langsung positif dari motivasi pada perilaku pro lingkungan dengan koefisien jalur 0,486. Kata Kunci: Motivasi, Perilaku Pro Lingkungan, Analisis Jalur

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the relationship between school climate and teacher’s kognitive abilities with motivational in Lebak sectoral Biological teacher Banten Province. Method used in this research was quantitative descriptive method with correlational approach. The subject of this study was SMAN Biology teacher Lebak regency of Banten Province with simple random sampling technique. The data was collected using the school climate instrument, teacher cognitive testing test and teacher motivation instrument with a sample of 60 Biology teachers.The results showed that, 1) There significant correlation between school climate with motivational of Lebak sectoral Biological teacher Banten Province. From the above research, it can be concluded that school climate are needed to improve teachers' motivation. Keywords: School climate, motivation Biology teachers. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara iklim sekolah dengan motivasi guru Biologi di Kabupaten Lebak Provinsi Banten. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Subjek penelitian adalah guru Biologi SMA Negeri Kabupaten Lebak Provinsi Banten dengan teknik pengambilan simple random sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner Iklim sekolah, dan kuesioner Motivasi guru dengan sampel sebanyak 60 guru Biologi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen non tes. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan uji model regresi (α= 0,05) dan uji koefisien korelasi dengan uji Pearson Product Moment (α= 0,05). Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa terdapat hubungan signifikan antara Iklim sekolah dengan motivasi guru Biologi. Dari hasil penelitian di atas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa iklim sekolah yang kondusif sangat dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan motivasi guru. Kata kunci: Iklim sekolah dan Motivasi guru Biologi

Abstract

Learning outcomes are the important matter in the learning process so that learning outcomes are often used as a determinant of success in achieving learning purposes. The learning outcomes achieved by each student will be different. This is due to several factors, one of which is related to student psychological conditions in the form of stress in an academic context. This study aims to determine the relationship between academic stress and biology learning outcomes of class XII students. The research was conducted at SMA Negeri 4 Bekasi City in the 2022/2023 academic year. The method used is a quantitative descriptive method with correlational studies. The sample used was 104 students of class XII who were selected through simple random sampling technique. The instruments used were questionnaires and multiple choice test questions. The prerequisite test results show that the data are normally distributed and homogeneous. The result of calculating the correlation coefficient is -0.473 and is included in the medium criteria. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant negative relationship between academic stress and the biology learning outcomes of class XII students. The higher the academic stress, the lower the biology learning outcomes of class XII students. The coefficient of determination is 0.224, which means that academic stress contributes 22.4% to the biology learning outcomes of class XII students.
