Abstract

Abstract

Kata kunci: Doa, Al-Qur’an, tafsir tematik, spiritualitas Islam, nilai teologis

Abstract

Marriage is a sacred institution in Islam that functions not only as a physical bond between a man and a woman, but also embodies profound spiritual, moral, and social values. This study aims to analyze the concept of marriage in Islam through both normative and contextual approaches. The research uses a qualitative method with library research as the primary approach. Data sources include the Qur’an, Hadith, classical and contemporary fiqh literature, and Islamic family law documents in Indonesia. The findings reveal that marriage in Islam represents the implementation of maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah, particularly in preserving lineage, honor, and religion. On the other hand, various social phenomena—such as early marriage, unregistered marriages without valid guardians, and rising divorce rates—indicate a significant gap between normative teachings and social practices. Therefore, an educational approach and continuous community development are essential to restore the ideal function of marriage in Islam as the foundation of a dignified family and society

Abstract

This study explores the concept of ukhuwwah (Islamic brotherhood) in the Qur’an through a thematic interpretation approach to uncover its multidimensional significance in contemporary social contexts. The research aims to understand how the Qur'anic values of ukhuwwah—both Islamiyah and Insaniyah—can foster justice, peace, and inclusivity in a pluralistic society. Using a qualitative methodology, this study collects data from selected Qur’anic verses and interprets them through classical and contemporary exegeses supported by social theories such as social identity and intergroup relations. The analysis reveals five key dimensions of ukhuwwah—spiritual, social, universal, missionary, and struggle-based—that are deeply relevant to addressing modern challenges such as social fragmentation and intergroup conflict. The findings conclude that ukhuwwah in the Qur’an offers theological and practical frameworks for enhancing solidarity and coexistence. This research contributes to the field by offering an interdisciplinary model that integrates Qur’anic studies with contemporary social insights.

Abstract

This study examines the phrase īz qāla and its derivations in Surah Al-Baqarah. This phrase is commonly used as an introductory expression in important stories or events in the Qur’an, typically referring to Allah or His prophets delivering a message or teaching. The focus of this study is on the interpretation of how the phrase īz qāla and its various derivations appear in Surah Al-Baqarah. The researcher employed a library research methodology with a linguistic approach, leading to the finding that the phrase īz qāla and its various derivations in Surah Al-Baqarah all take the form of īz ẓarfiyyah. However, in this phrase, īz often indicates an event (maf’ūl bih) and carries a command to pay attention to the event described. The interpretation differs when īz qāla occurs in the middle of a verse, where there are various opinions regarding the meaning of īz in this context.

Abstract

This abstract examines the concept of submission reflected in the term mukhbitīn in the Qur’an using a Maudū’ī (thematic) exegesis approach. The main focus of this research is to explore the profound meaning of submission in physical, mental, and spiritual aspects, which is reflected in the attitude of humility and total acceptance of Allah’s will. The methods used include the analysis of verses related to mukhbitīn and their application in the daily lives of Muslims, both in ritual worship and social life. A semantic approach and the theory of antisinonymy are employed to understand the different meanings of similar terms in the Qur’an, such as muslimīn and qānitīn, in order to provide a deeper understanding. The results of the study show that submission in the Qur’an is not only reflected in physical worship but also in profound mental and spiritual attitudes, involving a balance between faith, righteous deeds, and humility. This research concludes that true submission to Allah has a significant impact on both the personal and social lives of Muslims, strengthening their faith and helping them achieve happiness in both this world and the Hereafter.
