Abstract

Media studying is a tool that can help the studying process and can be a function to make the message that is delivered clearer. Media studying can be used as a tool to help students in understanding a concept. The aim of this research is improving the media studying using computer about simple instrument material for junior high school students that is validated and suitable to use. The design of improving this  media studying uses improving step modification Thiagarajan. The data in the research of improving are qualitative and quantitative data. Validation media result 81.5 percent shows a very suitable result, and understanding concept result 88.7 percent   Media pembelajaran merupakan alat yang dapat membantu proses belajar mengajar dan berfungsi untuk memperjelas makna pesan yang disampaikan. Media pembelajaran juga dapat berfungsi sebagai alat untuk membantu siswa dalam memahami suatu konsep. Tujuan penelitian pengembangan ini adalah mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbantuan komputer materi pesawat sederhana untuk siswa SMP yang tervalidasi dan layak digunakan. Desain pengembangan media pembelajaran ini menggunakan modifikasi langkah pengembangan Thiagarajan. Data dalam penelitian pengembangan adalah data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil validasi  media sebesar 81,5 persen menunjukkan kriteria sangat layak, dan hasil uji pemahaman konsep sebesar 88,7 persen

Abstract

Science learning aims to realize students have the science literacy. One characteristic for someone who is science literate is having an understanding of NOS. NOS can be explicit in teaching material. based on various studies and observation results indicate that NOS exploration in teaching materials is still low so that it affects students' understanding of NOS. This research uses descriptive research method with data collection is done through literature study so that the result of need analysis explicit the nature of science (NOS) in teaching material on topics of layer of earth.   Pembelajaran IPA bertujuan mewujudkan siswa berliterasi sains. Salah satu karakteristik bagi seseorang yang berliterasi sains yaitu memiliki pemahaman tentang NOS. NOS dapat dieksplisitkan dalam bahan ajar. berdasarkan berbagai penelitian dan hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa pengeksplisitan NOS dalam bahan ajar masih rendah sehingga mempengaruhi pemahaman siswa mengenai NOS. Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of  guided inquiry learning to understanding students' concept about image formation by flat mirror . This study uses a mixed method research of embedded experimental design. The research subject was 88 students of Private Junior High School in the city of Malang . Then, results showed that learning can improve students' understanding of the concept well ( d - effect size = 2.32 and N -gain = 0.47 ) .   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifas pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa tentang cermin datar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian mixed method jenis embedded experimental model. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 88 siswa di salah satu SMP swasta di kota Malang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, pembelajaran dapat  meningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa dengan baik (d-effect size = 2,32 dan N-gain 0,47).

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze the difference of students learning result on Natural Science subject who study using guided inquiry and conventional learning. The subjects of this study involve the students VIII grade of MTs Negeri Malang III that selected by cluster  random sampling. The measurement of students learning result through posttest of multiple choice item which is analyzed is using precondition test and t-test. The result of study showed that there was a difference on students learning result who learnt using guided inquiry learning and those who used conventional learning   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan hasil belajar IPA peserta didik yang belajar dengan pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dan pembelajaran konvensional. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII MTs Negeri Malang III yang dipilih secara cluster random sampling. Pengukuran hasil belajar peserta didik melalui posttest soal pilihan ganda yang dianalisis menggunakan uji prasyarat dan uji-t. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar peserta didik yang belajar dengan pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dan peserta didik yang belajar dengan pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

The  purpose of this research was to produce a learning instrument based on guided inquiry by the usage of potency area as learning resource were valid and reasonable to be used. The research used Borg and Gall’s developing model. The result of this research is the learning materials were included of syllabus, learning implementation design, student worksheet, handout, and evaluation instrument showed the learning materials valid with that validity was 96.9 percent. The test result of implementation of learning material showed got very practical criteria in 91,9 percent value. The test result of learning material showed that the student concept comprehension was 82,6 with high criteria, scientific skill was 88,3 with high criteria, and scientific attitude was 91,0 with high criteria. The result research showed that learning materials reasonable to be used.   Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menghasilkan produk perangkat pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri terbimbing melalui pemanfaatan potensi wilayah sebagai sumber belajar yang valid dan layak digunakan. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan Borg and Gall (1983). Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah perangkat pembelajaran yang berupa silabus, RPP, LKS, handout dan instrumen penilaian yang valid dengan nilai validitas sebesar 96,9 persen. Hasil uji keterlaksanaan perangkat pembelajaran menunjukkan nilai sebesar 91,9 persen dengan kriteria sangat praktis. Hasil uji coba perangkat pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata pemahaman konsep sebesar 82,6 dengan kriteria tinggi, nilai keterampilan ilmiah sebesar 88,3 dengan kriteria tinggi, dan nilai sikap ilmiah sebesar 91,0 dengan kriteria tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan perangkat pembelajaran layak digunakan.

Abstract

Penelitian  ini  bertujuan  menghasilkan bahan ajar IPA Terpadu berbasis inkuiri terbimbing untuk kegiatan belajar memahami getaran, gelombang,  dan sistem sonar kelas VIII SMP/MTs dan mengetahui pengaruh bahan ajar berbasis inkuiri terbimbing terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development). Model yang digunakan adalah model 4D yang dilakukan hanya sampai tiga tahap yaitu  pendefinisian, perancangan, dan pengembangan. Data yang diperoleh berupa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data kualitatif berupa saran dan komentar dari validator. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari hasil validasi oleh ahli media, ahli materi, praktisi lapangan (guru) dan uji efektifitas bahan ajar  terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata validasi bahan ajar yang diperoleh adalah sebesar 96.2 persen sehingga produk penelitian dan pengembangan yang dihasilkan sudah memenuhi kriteria valid. Uji efektifitas didapatkan thitung (3,16) lebih besar dari ttabel (1,99) menunjukkan adanya perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa

Abstract

Greenhouses are crucial in agriculture for enhancing crop yields by providing controlled environmental conditions. Efficient water management is a key challenge in conventional greenhouse systems, often leading to water wastage due to unmeasured soil moisture levels. This research aimed to design and implement a PID control system for water pumps in a miniature greenhouse to optimize water usage and maintain stable soil moisture and temperature levels. The methodology involved integrating PID control with sensors to monitor and adjust the water pump operation based on real-time soil moisture and temperature data. The study found that the PID-controlled system reduced the time to reach steady-state conditions from 650 ms to 600 ms, with no overshoot compared to systems without control. Additionally, the error in the PID system ranged from 0.89% to 2.32%. These findings suggest that PID control significantly enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of water usage in greenhouses, contributing to better crop management and resource conservation. The implications of this research are substantial for agricultural practices, as it demonstrates a viable solution for improving irrigation precision and overall greenhouse management.

Abstract

Given that Muslims make up the majority in Indonesia, students' perspectives on science are influenced by their religious beliefs. This research aims to analyze the differences in attitudes toward science and religion between national and Islamic schools. This study employed a survey method to look at the views of students in national and Islamic schools. Two groups comprise the 420 Indonesian secondary school students that comprise the research sample: 212 students from national schools and 208 from the renowned "Pesantren" Islamic school in Kota Bandung, West Jawa. The result of this study shows factors with significant differences in general aspects between national school with 3.5 and islamic school with 3.8. The aspect that show significant differences are competitiveness, critical thinking, religiosity, trust in scientists, interest in doing science, extrinsic motivation for science, general value of science, awareness of environmental issues, science self-concept, science removing the need for God, compatibility between science and religion, and perceptions of science lessons. Factors with no significant differences include attitudes toward theistic faith, creationism, the public value of science, and scientism. Additionally, there are some strengths and weaknesses between the national school and Islamic school, such as the time of the science lessons, lab equipment, internet access, etc. It could be concluded that national school and islamic school has strengths and weaknesses that related with science and religion.
