Abstract

Mung beans are legumes that known and cultivated in Indonesia. This plant is an important commodity. Utilization of oil palm processing plant sludge is still not optimal, therefore sludge can be utilized as an alternative supply of nutrients for the development of green bean plants. PKS sludge is the waste from the byproduct of the processing of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) in the form of solid objects that sink at the bottom of the sedimentation plant of a palm oil mill into crude palm oil or Crude Palm Oil (CPO). The study was conducted at the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau from August to October 2018. The research was an experiment in the pattern of a 4x3 factorial using a split plot design. As the main plot, PKS sludge solid waste consists of 4 levels (0, 8, 16, and 24 tons.ha-1), as subplots namely three varieties of green bean plants consist (varieties Vima-1, Kutilang and Vima-3) , each repeated 3 times. The results showed there were variations among varieties of green beans, which were observed in which Vima-1 variety gave better results for the age of emergence of flowers, age of harvest, and weight of 100 seeds. Varieties of Kutilang on the parameters of percentage of pith pods and Vima-3 varieties on parameters of plant height, number of branches, number of seeds per pod and weight of seeds per plot. Of the three varieties tested, Vima-3 produced the highest plant height of 65.12 cm and yieldof 493.74 gr.m-2. Keywords: Green beans, varieties, sludge

Abstract

Lemon plant (Citrus limon L. Burm.f.) is a horticultural commodity that is well known by the public as a multipurpose fruit. The length of the cuttings and the long immersion with ZPT can increase the growth of lemon seedlings. This study aims to determine the effect of cutting length and immersion time with ZPT Indole Butyric Acid (IBA) on the growth of citrus limon (L) Burm.f. cuttings and to obtain cutting length and duration of soaking with ZPT Indole Butyric Acid (IBA) to the best growth of lemon cuttings (Citrus limon (L) Burm.f.). This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, from May to July 2019, using a factorial completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 2 treatment factors and 3 replications consisting of the first factor is the length of the cuttings consisting of 3 levels ( 10 cm, 15cm, 20cm) The second factor is the length of immersion in the IBA solution which consists of 4 levels (0 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, 36 hours). The parameters observed were shoot appearance, shoot length, shoot number, shoot diameter, shoot dry weight, and root volume. The data obtained were analyzed statistically by using analysis of variance then continued with the further test of Honestly Significant Difference (BNJ) at 5% level. The combination of 20 cm cutting length and 24 hours immersion resulted in the best shoot length.Keywords: Lemon, Cutting Length, Soaking Time, ZPT, IBA

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of spacing and administration of sawdust organic mulch and to get the best combination in increasing the growth and production of green bean (Vignaradiata L.). This research was carried out at the University of Riau Faculty of Agriculturefor four months from April to July 2018. The research was conducted experimentally in a 2 x 4 factorial form arranged according to the Randomized Block Design (RBD). The first factor isspacing consists of three levels: 40 cm x 20 cm, 40 cm x 15 cm and 40 cm x 10 cm. The second factor is sawdust mulch consisting of two levels: Without sawdust organic mulch and 4 kg.2m-2 sawdust organic mulch. The parameters observed were plant height, number of primary branches, stem diameter, flowering age, canopy area, number of plant pods, number of planted pods, plot production and weight of 100 seeds. Spacing can increase plant height, number of primary branches and stem diameter of green bean plants. Sawdust mulch had no effect on the parameters of plant height, number of primary branches, stem diameter, flowering age, canopy area, number of plant pods, number of rice pods, plot production and weight of 100 seeds of green bean plants. Keywords: spacing, organic mulch, green bean

Abstract

Palm oil plantations are plantation crops for Indonesia and plays an important role as a mainstay commodity for export or commodities that can increase farmers' income. To produce a good seedlings and the required quality of intensive management during the nursery stage one was fertilization. Fertilization is made to enhance the growth of oil palm seedlings, one of them with biological fertilizer combined with inorganic fertilizer. This study aims to determine the effect of the interaction of multiple doses of biological fertilizers and NPK fertilizers by administering several different doses on the growth of oil palm seedlings and to get the best interactions in the main nursery. This study was conducted at experimental field of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau with Inceptisol soil types. The research was conducted from January 2016 to April 2016. This study was conducted experiments using a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial consisting of two factors: Factor I: bacillusyang biological fertilizer consists of four levels IE K0: Without giving a biological fertilizer bacillus, K1: fertilizer biological active ingredient bacillus sp 10 ml / plant, K2: fertilizer biological active ingredient bacillus sp 20 ml / plant and K3: fertilizer biological active ingredient bacillus sp 30 ml / plant. Factor II: NPK fertilizer, which consists of four levels IE P0: Without giving NPK, P1: Delivery of NPK 5g / plants, P2: Delivery of NPK 10 g / plant and P3: Delivery of NPK 15 g / plant. The parameter those observed were the seedlings height (cm), stump diameter (cm), number of leaves (leaf), plant fresh weight (g), seedling dry weight (g), the volume of the roots of plants (ml) and the shoot to root ratio .The results showed that doses of biofertilizers 30 ml / plant and without NPK fertilizer showed the highest results, namely, plant height, diameter of the stump, leaf number, fresh weight of plants, plant dry weight, root volume and the ratio of canopy roots and several doses of NPK does not give effect to all the parameters of observation.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the best dose of trichocompost rice straw for the growth and production of water spinach. The research was conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture University of Riau's experimental station, from 1 to 31 August. This study used a one-factor randomized block design (RBD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications so that it consisted of 20 experimental units. The parameters observed were plant height, leaf number, fresh weight, root volume, leaf area and root canopy ratio of the plant. Data were analyzed using variance and continued with HSD test at the 5 % level. The doses of trichocompost rice straw alteration significantly increased plant height, leaf number, fresh weight, root volume, leaf area and the root canopy ratio of land water spinach. The doses of trichocompost rice straw 12 tons. Ha-1 was the best dose to those increased plant height, leaf number, fresh weight, root volume, leaf area and the root canopy ratio of water spinach. Keywords: Ipomea reptans Poir, trichocompost of rice straw

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to get plant medium, dosage of NPK fertilizer and its interaction suitable for growth of cuttings of rose plants. This research has been conducted in Experimental Garden of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau. This research took place from October 2016 until January 2017. This research was conducted experimentally using Completely Randomized Design (RAL), Factorial and 3 replications. Factorial consists 2 factors. The first factor of planting medium (M) consists of 3 levels: M1 = Incepticol soil, M2 = sawdust, M3 = rice husk. The second factor of NPK (P) consists of 4 levels: P0 = without NPK, P1 = NPK 1 g/plant, P2 = NPK 2 g/plant, P3 = NPK 3 g/plant. Each unit consists of 2 plants of roses. Parameters those observed shoot lengths, number of shoots per plant, number of leaves per plant, age of first flower appeared, the number of flowers per plant and root length. The results obtained were analyzed using anova and HSD  of 5%. The results showed rice husk medium, the dose of NPK 1 g / plant fertilizer and better interaction in improving plant growth. Keywords:Setek roses, Medium plants, NPK Fertilizer.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the interaction of cow manure and active ingredients Trichoderma sp biofungisida and get a best dose or doses of cow manure biofungicide against the growth and production of green bean plants. The research was conducted at the Experimental Station of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Pekanbaru. This study was conducted over three months, starting in August 2017 to October 2017. This study uses the randomized block design (RAK), factorial, consisting of two factors. The first factor was cow manure (P) which consists of three levels (0, 2.5, 5) ton / ha and the second factor Trichoderma biofungicide (B) which consists of three levels (0,2,4) g / l. The data were statistically analyzed using ANOVA and continued with HSD at the 5 % level. Parameters measured were plant height (cm), flowering date (day), harvesting (days), number of pods per plant (pod), the percentage of peas pithy per plant (%), weight of seeds per plant (g), dry weight of 100 seeds (g) and seed yield per plot (g). Based on research results indicate that administration of cow manure and Trichoderma sp. biofungisida active ingredients affected on plant height, date of harvest, number of pods per plant, seed weight per plant, 100-seed weight and seed yield per plot. Cow manure 5 tons / ha and Trichoderma active ingredients spbiofungicide. 4 g / l tends to be the highest yield in the growth and production of green beans. Keywords :  green bean, cow manure, Trichoderma. sp

Abstract

Penelitianinibertujuanuntukmengetahuipengaruh media tanam dan lama perendaman dengan ZPT alami bawangmerah serta mendapatkan media tanam dan lama perendaman dengan  ZPT alami bawang merah untuk pertumbuhanstek mawar terbaik.Penelitiandilaksanakandi Kebun PercobaanFakultas Pertanian UniversitasRiau, mulaiMaretsampai Mei 2019. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) faktorial, terdiri dari 2 faktor dan 3 ulangan.Faktor I media tanam, yaitu: M1= Tanah + pupuk kandang (1:1),M2= Tanah + serbuk gergaji + pupuk kandang  (1:1:1), M3= Tanah + sekam padi + pupuk kandang  (1:1:1). Faktor II lama perendaman didalam ZPT alami bawang merah, yaitu: B0= Direndam dalam Rootone-f 0,3 g.l-1¼ jam, B1= Direndam dalam ZPT  bawang merah  500 g.l-11 jam, B2= Direndam dalam ZPT bawang merah  500 g.l-1 2  jam, B3= Direndam dalam ZPT bawang merah  500 g.l-13 jam. Parameter yang diamati, persentase tanaman hidup, waktu muncul tunas pertama, jumlah tunas, panjang tunas, jumlah daun, waktu muncul bunga pertama, panjang tangkai, diameter bunga, pertambahan diameter batang utama dan panjang akar.Media tanam tanah + sekam padi + pupuk kandang  (1:1:1) dan perendamandalam Rootone-f 0,3 g.l-1¼ jam serta interaksi keduanyamenghasilkan pertumbuhan vegetatif dan generatif tertinggi pada stek tanaman mawar. Kata kunci: Stek, Media tanam dan ZPT alami.

Abstract

The research aimed to know the effect of solid waste and  tablet NPK on the growth of oil palm seedlings in the main nursery. The experiment was conducted in the experimental station of Agricultural Faculty of Riau University from April to August 2016. The research used Factorial Completely Randomized Design (RAL) consisting 2 factor. The first factor of solid waste was 0, 10 and 20 g/plant and the second factor of tablet NPK was 0, 25 and 50 g/plant. Data have been statistically analized and examined further with BNJ if significant effect on level 5%. The outcomes indicated that there was interaction between solid waste and tablet NPK on height of seed , leaf area, number of leaf, diameter of the hump, development of leaf area, volume of root and ratio of root canopy (RTA) palm oil plant. Giving of 4 ton/ha solid waste and 10 ton/ha tablet NPK gives the best growth and development of palm oil seeds. Keywords: Solid Waste, Tablet NPK, Palm Oil Seedlings.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan komposisi media tanam yang tepat untuk pertumbuhan bibit sirih merah  (Piper crocatumRuiz & Pav.). Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Riau, Kampus Bina Widya KM 12,5 Kelurahan Simpang Baru, Kecamatan Tampan, Kota Pekanbaru  selama empat bulan dimulai dari bulan Juni hinggaSeptember 2018. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara eksperimen menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap(RAL), yangterdiri dari: P0 = kontrol, P1 = Tanah Inceptisollapisan atas + Pupuk andang Ayam (3 :1), P2 = Tanah Inceptisollapisan atas + Arang Sekam (3 : 1), P3 = Tanah Inceptisollapisan atas + Cocopeat (3 : 1), P4 = TanahInceptisollapisan atas + Arang sekam + Pupuk kandang ayam (2:1:1), P5 = Tanah Inceptisollapisan atas + Cocopeat + Pupuk kandang ayam (2:1:1), P6 = TanahInceptisollapisan atas + Cocopeat + Arang sekam + Pupuk kandang ayam (1:1:1:1). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa campuran media tanam tanah Inceptisol + pupuk kandang ayam meningkatkan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun dan jumlah buku tanaman.Kata kunci: Inceptisol lapisan atas, arang sekam, cocopeat, pupuk kandang ayam, sirih merah.
