Abstract

Ketersediaan unsur fosfor menjadi salah satu faktor pembatas untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman padi. BPF memiliki kemampuan untuk melarutkan fosfat dalam tanah dari bentuk yang tidak larut menjadi fosfat dalam bentuk larut. Penambahan pupuk TSP dengan dosis yang rendah mampu meningkatkan ketersediaan unsur hara fosfor dalam tanah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari pemberian interaksi bakteri pelarut fosfat dan pupuk fosfor serta untuk mendapatkan dosis terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan padi sawah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan bulan Januari-April 2020 di Laboratorium Biologi FMIPA dan Kebun Percobaan FAPERTA, UNRI. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap faktorial yang terdiri dari 2 faktor yaitu pemberian dosis pupuk fosfor (P) dengan 3 taraf yaitu  0, 0,25 dan 0,50 g per polybag dan pemberian BPF dengan 3 taraf yaitu 35, 40 dan 45 ml per polybag. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberian interaksi BPF dan pupuk fosfor berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter laju pertumbuhan tanaman, laju asimilasi bersih, tetapi berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan dan rasio tajuk akar. Interaksi perlakuan terbaik dari hasil penelitian yaitu pada pemberian BPF dosis 45 ml per polybag dan pupuk fosfor dosis 0,50 g per polybag.

Abstract

The need for chili peppers (Capsicum annuum L.) in Riau Province increased, along with the increasing population, while production in 2019 of 17,513 tons has not been able to meet the needs, so it was imported from other provinces such as, West Sumatra, North Sumatra, and other provinces. If there is a shortage of supply such as a broken road to Riau, or low production it will have an impact on increasing chili prices in Riau, for that it is necessary to increase chili production in Riau. Farmers in farming chili, often experience crop failure due, one of which is high infection withered fusarium disease caused by the fungus Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. capsici. This fungus develops quickly in soil conditions with high humidity, especially during harvest that coincides with the rainy season, where transmission is carried out by spores mainly through the intercession of water flow in roots and leaves (Heriyanto, 2019). The purpose of this community service is to improve the knowledge and skills of farmers in overcoming withers in chili plants. Devotional activities are held in April - October 2021, in the form of lectures and discussions and the creation of pilot pilot pilots. As a result of the service, the community understands the technique of planting and overcoming withers in chili plants.

Abstract

Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) is an important food commodity in Indonesia. The low production of peanuts in Riau Province has not been able to meet the people's need for peanuts. According to the Riau Province Food Crops Service (2022) the need for peanuts in Riau Province in 2019 is 8,516 tons, in 2020 the need for peanuts is 7,390 tons, and in 2021 the need for peanuts is 6,474 tons. This study aims to determine the effect and interaction between tillage and the application of fish waste liquid organic fertilizer (POC) and the single factor of both the growth and production of peanut plants and to get the best combination. The research was conducted using a split-plot design. The first factor as the main plot is tillage consisting of three levels, namely without tillage, minimum tillage, and maximum tillage. The second factor as a subplot was POC concentration consisting of four levels, without POC fish waste, 25% POC fish waste (250 ml POC + 750 ml water), 50% POC fish waste (500 ml POC + 500 ml water), and 50 % POC waste fish 75% (POC 750 ml + water 250 ml). Parameters observed included plant height, number of primary branches, flowering age, harvest age, number of pods, number of filled pods, seed production per plant, and weight of 100 seeds. The data obtained were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance and continued with Duncan's multiple range test at the 5% level using the SAS application. The results showed that the interaction of tillage and POC fish waste affected increasing plant height, number of primary branches, number of pods, number of filled pods, seed production per plant, and weight of 100 seeds.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the effect of the addition of some organic fertilizers as a mixed growing medium for growth and yield of baby kailan and to get the best type of organic fertilizer to support the growth and yield of baby kailan plants in viticulture. The research was carried out at the the Experimental farm of the Agriculture Faculty, Riau University. The research took time four months, starting from February to May 2019 and the experiment, which consisted of four treatments and arranged using a completely randomized block design (RBD) of organic fertilizer, consisted of Cow manure, Goat manure, Chicken manure, and Oil Palm Empty Fruit Bunches (OPEFB) compost. The observed parameters were plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), fresh weight per plant (g), plant weight for consumption per plant (g), and root volume (ml). The observational data were analysed using the Statistical Analysis System (SAS) program. The results showed that the OPEFB compost treatment provided the best for the growth and yield of baby kailan. OPEFB compost gave the best results for all parameters.

Abstract

The aim of this work is to find out effect of several Liquid Organic Fertilizers (POC) based on their concentration and to obtain the best POC on the growth and production of mustard plants during two plantings. This research was carried out at the Experimental farm of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University from February to April 2020. This study was conducted at then experimental method with a one-factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 repetitions, namely tofu water with a concentration of 25% (250 ml of tofu + 750 ml water), 25% banana peel concentration (250 ml banana peel + 750 ml water). 25% concentration of rice washing water (250 ml of rice washing water + 750 ml of water), 25% concentration of eggshell (250 ml of eggshell + 750 ml of water), a mixture of tofu POC (62.5 ml) + banana peel POC (62,5 ml) + POC of rice washing water (62.5 ml) + POC of eggshell (62.5 ml). Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, fresh plant weight, fresh plant weight per plot. The observational data were analyzed and continued with Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at a 5% level. The results showed that the treatment of several types of POC had the same effect to each other. However, presenting POC of tofu wastewater showed that fresh yield was generally superior in terms of leaf number, fresh plant weight, and plant weight per plot.

The research was conducted at Experimental Garden, Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University, Pekanbaru. The research was conducted for 5 months, from february to june 2020. The reasearch was conducted experimentally in 2 factors. The first factor was the of tofu waste compost consists of 3 levels (0, 10 and 20 ton.ha-1). The second factor was the of NPK fertilizer (0, 100 and 150 kg.ha-1) which consist of nine treatments combination. The observed parameterswere the height of the plant (cm), the days of flowering (days), the days of harvesting (days), the fruit length (cm), the fruit diameter (cm), the number of fruits per plant (fruit), the fruit weight per fruit (g), the fruit weight per plant (g) and the fruit weight with plot (g). The data in this research was analyzed in using variance and followed by Duncan's multiple distance test at 5% level. The results showed that tofu waste compost and NPK fertilizer increased the growth of eggplant such as the height of the plant, the days of flowering, the days of harvesting, the number of fruits per plant, the fruit length, the fruit weight per fruit, the fruit weight per plant and the fruit weight with plot and does not increase fruit diameter. The giving tofu waste compost at a dose 20 ton.ha-1 and NPK fertilizer 150 kg.ha-1 gave the best eggplant growth and production until the plants were 90 DAP
