Abstract

The experiment was conducted on January 28 to june 30, 2013 in Peatland Experimental garden, Agriculture Faculty, University of Riau, Rimbo Panjang Village, Tambang district Kampar regency. The experimental design used was randomized block design consisting of 8 treatment in the 3 groups at different soil conditions that required 24 units of the experiment. Data were statistically analyzed using analysis of variance, followed by Duncan’s test New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at the level of 5%. Variables measured were the age flower appearance, age of harvest, plant height, dichotomous height, stem diameter, canopy width, fruit length, fruit diameter, weight per fruit and fruit weight per plant. The results showed that genotypes tested had adaptability and yield are quite good in peatland and different between genotypes. Genotype C-5 x C-120, C-5 x C-159 and TM 999 has a plant height, larger stem diameter, day to flowering and harvesting are faster. Dichotomous high owned by genotype         C-5 x C-159, C-19x C-120 and TM 999, while the long pieces owned by genotype C-5 x C-159 and C-19 x C-120 and weight per fruit and weight highest fruit per plant owned by genotype C-5 x C-120.   Keyword : Capsicum annum, peatland and yield

Abstract

This study aims to look at the interaction of PPC administration with different concentrations and different spraying frequency and get the best combination of the growth of oil palm seedlings were planted in peat media are flooded periodically. This research has been carried on in the greenhouse UPT Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Pekanbaru, from November 2013 to February 2014. This study used a completely randomized factorial design consisting of two factors and three replications. The first factor was the concentration of PPC consists of 4 levels K0: no PPC, K1: 0.2%, K2: 0.4%, K3: 0.6% and the second factor the frequency of spraying PPC F1 consists of 3 levels: 1 times, F2: 2 times, F3: 3 times. Parameters measured were plant height increase, in the number of leaves, stem diameter, length of the primary root, root number, root volume, shoot root ratio. The mean separation of the tested by Duncan's multiple range test at 5%. The results showed the effect of interaction between the concentration and frequency of spraying PPC parameters contained in the stem base diameter, but not in the parameters as height of plants, increase the number of leaves, the primary root length, number of roots, root volume and shoot root ratio. A PPC concentration of 0.2% to 2 times, spraying showed the best growth at high accretion seed, in the number of leaves and root crown ratio, a PPC concentration of 0.6% with 3 times, spraying showed the best growth in root length, 1 time spraying on a number of roots, and 2 times spraying on the root volume. Abstract

This research aims to gain palm oil seed that fulfill quality standard while give liquid  complementary fertilizerthough the seeds that stressed by flooding. The research was done in a Completely Randomized Design 3x3 and 3 replication. The first factor is seeds age, there are u0 = 3 months, u1 = 5 months, and u2 = 7 months age of palm oil, and the second factor is concentrate of liquid  complementary fertilizer, there are p0 = 0 ppm, p1 = 6 ppm, and p2 = 12 ppm. Data were analyzed by analysis of variance andfurthertestedusingDuncan`sNewMultiple RangeTestatthe level of 5%,to decide criteria of seeds quality used standard of seeds quality according to Sihombing (2013). The result of research shows that there is no interaction between seeds age and concentrate of liquid  complementary fertilizer on all observation variable. Seeds which is 5 months old and have stressed by flooding fulfill standard of seeds quality, but seeds which is 3 months and 7 months old don’t fulfill the standard of seeds quality only on height diference seeds. The ratio of roots, dry weight of seeds, and standard index of palm oil seed that stressed by floodingare better if we give liquid  complementary fertilizer in 6 to 12 ppm. Abstract

This research was aimed to increase growth and yield of peanut through the provision of dolomite and phosphate fertilizer. This research was conducted at the experiment land of Agriculture Faculty University of Riau, Pekan baru from June 2014 to September 2014. This research used factorial completely randomized design (CRD) consisted of two factors and three replications. As for the treatment are: factor 1 is dolomite dose consist of three level 0,00 kg/m2,0,62 kg/m2 and 1,24 kg/m2. Factor 2 is phosphate fertilizer consist of three level 0,00 g/m2, 14,40 g/m2 and 28,80 g/m2. The results of this research showed that the combination of dolomite dose of 0,62 kg/m2 with phosphate fertilizer 28,80 g/m2 provide the best growth and yield of the plant height parameters, number of seeds/plant and dry weight of seeds/1,44 m2. The best results obtained 543,33 g/m2 (3,77 ton/ha) through combination of dolomite dose of 6,20ton/ha with phosphate dose of 0,20 ton/ha.   Keywords: peanuts, dolomite, phosphate fertilizer

Abstract

Increasing production of upland rice can be done by knowing the variety of upland rice which the most tolerance and the best ameliorant for ultisol soil. Variety which show the best response can be recommended to be planted on ultisol soil. This research aimed to get response some varieties of upland rice (Oryza sativa L.) which is planted on ultisol soil the giving of ameliorant. This research has been done in research farm in Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau from December 2014 untill May 2015. This research was done by factorial experiment 3x4 which was arranged using Split Plot Design. First factor are 3 varieties of upland rice as main plot: Inpago 8, Situ Patenggang and Situ Bagendit. Second factor are giving ameliorants: without ameliorant, calsite lime, natural rock phosphate and kirinyuh green manure. Parameters observed are plant heigh, harvesting date, penicle length, productive tillering amount, percentage of grain pithy, 1000 grain weight, dried grain weight, weight dry straw plant, ratio of grain and straw. Result showed the interaction between varieties of upland rice by giving ameliorant just happened harvesting date while plant heigh and penicle length just be effected by variety and dried grain weight effected by ameliorant. The recomendation to get the best variety of upland rice for ultisol soil according the result of the research is using Situ Bagendit variety by kirinyuh green manure as ameliorant.   Keywords: upland rice, ultisol soil, ameliorant

Abstract

This study aims to describe the profile of P3A group members that influence production unit in supporting the success of rice farming of tidal land in Indragiri Hilir District. Research has been conducted in Indragiri Hilir District in Kempas, Reteh and Keritang District started from September 2016 until February 2017, using survey method with descriptive analysis of regression and correlation. The results of this study indicate that members of P3A tidal land rice paddy in Indragiri Hilir, the majority members of P3A are senior high school educated, male, productive age, have small family members, had narrow land area, the majority work on private land and 68,67% of P3A farmers rice productivity in Indragiri Hilir District rice increase and highly increase. The any change in attitude of P3A paddy farmers in Indragiri Hilir District has an effect on rice productivity increase of 0,313 ton.ha-1 and has a pretty positive relationship to the variable self efficacy, motivation, interaction member, cohesion member and norms members in supporting the success of paddy rice farming tidal land. Self efficacy factors, work motivation, member among interaction, member cohesion, member norms and norms of P3A members in Indragiri Hilir Regency have a relationship with each other with strong correlation value. Keywords: Member profile, P3A, paddy rice farming, productivity

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve the productivity of mung beans bythe betung bamboo sprout extract with tithonia green compost. This study was carried out at the experimental station ofAgriculture Faculty, Riau University Pekanbaru from June to September 2016. The study was conducted in the completely randomized design (CRD) factorial experiment 3 x 3 in 3 replications. The first factor wasthe concentration of betung bamboo sprout extract: 0 ppm, 4,500 ppm and 6,000 ppm. The second factor was the doses of tithonia green compost:0 kg/2m2, 2,00 kg/2m2, and 4.00 kg/2m2. The variables those observed were plant height, primary branch numbers, flowerinitiation, the pods ripen age, period of harvest, pods per plant, pithy pods per plant, seed weight, seed dry weight, and weight of 100 seeds.The result suggestednumbers of mung beans primary branch increased, the flowering more accelerated, the pods harvestedwas a longer period if given of betung bamboo sprout extracts 6,000 ppm or the plant would be higher, the age pods to be mature, the pods harvest to be longer and weight of 100 seeds was weightier ifthe plants given tithoniagreen compost4,00 kg/2 m2. Keywords: Mung bean production, betung bamboo sprout extract, tithonia green compost

Abstract

The aim of the study was to obtain the better growth oil palm seedlings by providing trichocompos from basic ingredients and different doses. This study uses a cluster randomized design method (CRD) in 9 treatments and 3 replications.Observed including: seedling height, number of leaves, stem diameter, root canopy ratio, seedling dry weight and seedling quality index. The results showed that only the height of the oil palm seedlings was better given by the composision corn waste, market waste and cattle rumen trichocompos in 10-20 ton.ha-1 doses. Height of oil palm seedlings was increased by giving trichokompos based on corn waste or cattle rumen at doses of 15 and 20 ton.ha-1. Increased root canopy ratio increased by trichokompos based on corn waste and cattle rumen as much as 50 g.polybag-1.Keywords: Palm oil seedling, composision of basic materil and doses trichokompos

Abstract

This study aims to get the oil palm seedlings variety that were more tolerant to waterlogging stress duration. Research does in the experiments were undertaken at the Agriculture Faculty Station of Riau University from April to June 2016. Experiment done in the completely randomized design 3 x 3. The first factor was the Tenera varieties palm oil seedlings: AA-DP TOPAZ 1 (v1), Sungai Pancur I (v2) and DxP Simalungun (v3). The second factor was waterlogging stress duration: 30 days (g0), 50 days (g1) and 70 days (g3). Variables observed consisted of: seedling height, leaf midrib, stem diameter, canopy root ratio, seedling quality index and seedling dry weight. The results showed that, interaction between the varieties palm oil seedling with waterlogging stress duration was not significant. Effect of waterlogging stress duration take on all observed variables, but the varieties affects to height, number of leaves and dry weight of seedling. The varieties of oil palm seedlings more tolerant to 70 days waterlogging stress duration, compared 30 days or 50 days. The growth of Sungai Pancur I and DxP Simalungun palm oil seedling were better than AA-DP TOPAZ 1. Keywords: Tenera varieties palm oil seedling, waterlogging stress duration.

Abstract

Januari s/d Juni 2019 This study aims to identify the external factors of the P3A group  production unit affecting the  off succes agricultur bisnis of tidal rice fields in Indragiri Hilir Regency and analyze the relationship of external factors of the P3A group as a production unit to support the success of tidal rice farming in Indragiri Hilir Regency. Research has been carried out in Indragiri Hilir Regency. This study condacted from September 2016 - February 2017, using a survey method with descriptive analysis and regression and correlation. The results of this study indicate that the majority of P3A members of tidal lowland rice in Indragiri Hilir Regency have high school education down, male, productive age, have small dependents, have a narrow land area, the majority work on their own land and P3A external factors play a role in increasing the production of lowland rice in Indragiri Hilir Regency only agricultural extension workers. Agricultural extension agents have a significant relationship to the increase in productivity of tidal paddy rice in the P3A group, namely extension activities for P3A members will increase tidal rice production in Indragiri Hilir by 0.153 ton.ha-1.Keywords: Lowland rice, tides, farmer associations
