Abstract

This research is historical literature research focusing on the description of Youkai character in Japanesse literature from the ancient to modern period. Youkai is Japanesse mythology creature in various appearance, and can be visible and invisible haunting the human. This research used descriptive analytical method. The results of the research are 1) Youkai has been well known since it was in Japanesse ancient through religion ritual, 2) In the middle period, youkai was described as misery as the result of Budha influence, 3) In Edo period, youkai was given a name and well known in folktale and legend, and 4) in modern period youkai is persisted as one of the original characters in Japanesse culture, described as in the real life, once metaphorized as an evil, and in modern era, youkai is described as kawaii (cute) character, not only represented in folktale or story but also published in magazines, manga, and anime as well. And then, in modern period, youkai is desribed as a good creature, and sometime it helps human.Key Words: anime, story, historical literature, youkai, kawaii, manga, mythology creature

Abstract

HOS Tjokroaminoto is one of national heroes known as Guru Bangsa (Teacher of the Nation). Tjokroaminoto gets this title as he and his thought inspire Indonesian political figures. Tjokroaminoto is the only person in the beginning of 20th century who vocally and bluntly stated that Indies (Indonesia) had to establish its own governance. It is then termed the independence. Independence can be realized with the awareness of national consciousness in the national level, not in local level anymore.The movie entitled Guru Bangsa HOS Tjokroaminoto tells about the history reflecting one of Indonesian national figures, Tjokroaminoto. This movie tells about Tjokroaminoto as the main figure driving the nationalism and describes the history of Indonesia. The interesting aspects from this movie are the nationalism values described on Tjokroaminoto. In this research, the researcher analyze the movie entitled Guru Bangsa HOS Tjokroaminoto with historical literature approach in order to reveal the nationalism thought of Tjokroaminoto and behavior supporting his thought. This research is expected to raise the nationalism awareness in the recent young generation of Indonesia. Based on the research result, there are four main facts about the nationalism in Tjokroaminoto in the movie entitled Guru Bangsa HOS Tjokroaminoto. These historical facts are nationalism thought and behavior of Tjokroaminoto based on four factors of nationalism according to Hertz (1958), (1) Desire to achieve the unity (in 1912, Tjokroaminoto joined Sarekat Islam/Islamic Union), (2) Desire to achieve the independence (in 1905 Tjokroaminoto retired from his job as clerk), (3) Desire to achieve independence, superiority, authenticity, and distinctiveness by wearing blangkon and jarik (cloth) as the nationalism symbol and by wearing suit and bowties to show the equality with foreign nation in terms of thought, (4) Desire to catch up the honor of nation with the progressive idea of Tjokroaminoto, compulsory education for 15 years.

Abstract

Banyaknya usaha kuliner khas Jepang, dari yang berskala restoran hingga kedai kaki lima, membuat masyarakat dapat memilih variasi makanan. Variasi kuliner Jepang ini berpotensi bagi pengembangan usaha kuliner pada masyarakat yang dapat membantu meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat. Salah satu usaha pemberdayaan ekonomi dilakukan pada kegiatan pengenalan dan pelatihan masakan Jepang kepada Panti Asuhan Putri Aisyiyah Malang. Panti Asuhan Aisyiyah ini mempunyai bidang usaha kuliner, berupa katering kue dan masakan khas nusantara. Pengenalan dan pelatihan masakan Jepang ditujukan untuk memberikan wawasan dan keterampilan baru, dan dapat memperkaya menu catering yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan ekonomi, sehingga dapat menambah dukungan finansial bagi operasional panti asuhan. Masakan yang disampaikan dalam kegiatan ini adalah oyakodon dan katsudon. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan selama 1 hari, dengan peserta sebanyak 6 (enam) orang, yang terdiri dari 3 (tiga) orang karyawan catering, dan 3 (tiga) orang anak panti asuhan. Kegiatan ini dilakukan secara daring (dengan melihat video yang dibuat oleh tim, dengan native Jepang sebagai kokinya), dan luring (praktik memasak oyakodon dan katsudon). Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah antusiasme peserta dalam mengikuti pelatihan, dan peserta dapat mengikuti dan memasak sesuai dengan arahan native Jepang. Setelah pelatihan dilaksanakan, masukan bagi tim adalah permintaan peserta agar tim dapat mengenalkan masakan Jepang yang lainnya seperti sushi, dan juga mengajarkan table manner prasmanan.

Abstract

Bagi pembelajar bahasa Jepang di Indonesia, Kanji menjadi salah satu œmomok yang menakutkan karena jumlah hurufnya banyak, dan metode pembelajaran Kanji yang kurang menarik. Selama ini, belajar  Kanji dengan cara menghafal dan menulis Kanji secara berulang. Kesulitan belajar Kanji semakin bertambah karena sejak pemerintah menyatakan pandemi Covid-19, pembelajaran harus dilaksanakan secara daring. Salah satu strategi pembelajaran daring pada Kanji 2 adalah dengan menggunakan bantuan video animasi dengan gambar dan cerita. Penulis meneliti efektivitas penggunaan video berbantuan animasi dalam pembelajaran Kanji 2 pada Program Studi Sastra Jepang FIB UB.Teori yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran daring dan blended learning, efektivitas pembelajaran, dan buku pembelajaran Kanji: Sutorii De Oboeru Kanji. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan yang berupa penelitian deskriptif komparatif dengan metode pre-experimental design dengan bentuk intact-group comparison. Objek penelitian ini adalah 97 orang mahasiswa yang mengambil mata kuliah Kanji 2.Hasil dari penelitian: 1) diketahui nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh mahasiswa dari Ujian Akhir Semester di kelas eksperimen (Kelas A dan B), yakni 87, lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol (Kelas C dan D); dan 2) metode pembelajaran daring berbantuan video animasi dengan gambar dan cerita Kanji dikatakan efektif atau berhasil. Kata Kunci: pembelajaran daring, blended learning, efektivitas pembelajaran, video animasi, intact-group comparison Abstract THE EFFECTIVENESS OF ONLINE LEARNING USED ANIMATION VIDEO ON SUBJECT KANJI 2ON EVEN SEMESTER AT ACADEMIC YEAR 2019/2020 For Japanese language learners in Indonesia, Kanji became a specter, because the number of letter is large. So far, the Kanji learning method is to write reapetedly. The difficulty in learning Kanji has increased since the goverment declared the Covid-19 pandemic, so that, learning must be carried out online. One of learning strategies in Kanji course is online learning, what use animation video with pictutes and stories. The authors examine the effectiveness of using animation-assisted videos in learning Kanji 2 at Study Program Japanese Literature FCS UB.The theory in this research are online learning and blended learning, learning effectiveness, and Kanji book Sutorii de Oboeru Kanji. The method are field research in form of comparative descriptive research with pre-experimental design method on intact-group comparison. The object are Program Japanese Literature students who took Kanji 2, totaling 97 people.          The result are 1) it is known that the average score obtained by students from the results of the Final Semester Examination in the experimental class (Class A and B), is higher than the control class (Class C and D), and 2) animation-assisted videos in learning Kanji what use animation video with pictutes and stories are affective and was successfull. Keyword : online learning, blended learning, learning effectiveness, animation video, intact-group comparison

Abstract

This literary research uses a short story entitle Kamisama by Kawakami Hiroshi. Kamisama tells the Watashi’s short journey with Kuma on a spring day. Kuma is a bear who recently moves in a lives next door to Watashi’s apato room. Despite being a bear, Kuma can speak human language and behave like humans. Kamisama not only tells the condition of the natural environment, but also contains a picture of the life of Japanese people related to Japanese culture, in the form of daily habits, view of life, and Japanese people’s thoughts about nature and environment. The research conveys how the natural and cultural views of Japanese society in the Kamisama short story. This study uses qualitative descriptive methods, ecocriticism in Japanese literature and culture. The results this study shows the literary ecocriticism aspect in the interaction between characters in the environment. Ecosystem of the natural environment are not used by humans, but their existence is also respected.

Jumlah penutur asing untuk mempelajari bahasa Indonesia meningkat. Besarnya minat penutur asing untuk mempelajari bahasa Indonesia tidak didampingi dengan buku teks yang selaras dengan keinginan penutur asing dalam mempelajari bahasa Indonesia. Buku teks yang tersedia silabus dan kurikulum BIPA tidak mencantumkan komponen budaya Indonesia. Mengenalkan multikulturalisme Indonesia kepada penutur asing juga dapat menumbuhkembangkan sikap positif dan apresiatif penutur asing terhadap kekayaan budaya Indonesia.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk nendeskripsikan kualitas Buku Teks BIPA Berbasis Multikulturalisme Bagi Penutur Asing Tingkat Pemula yang meliputi kevalidan, kepraktisan (aktivitas pembelajar, tanggapan pembelajar), serta hasil belajar pembelajar. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan yang menggunakan model pengembangan 4D. Model ini terdiri atas empat tahap pengembangan yaitu define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dampak yang baik terhadap nilai mahasiswa setelah pengembangan buku dilakukan.Kata kunci: buku teks, BIPA, multikulturalisme AbstractThe era of MEA (ASEAN Economic Community) Enactment has an impact on the development of Indonesian language for foreign speakers (BIPA). The number of foreign speakers learning Bahasa Indonesia is increasing. The high interest of foreign speakers for the Indonesian is not supported by necessary textbooks as speaker's expectation in learning Bahasa Indonesia.  The BIPA syllabus and curriculum textbooks do not include the Indonesian cultural component. Introducing Indonesian multiculturalism to learn the enrichness of Indonesian culture. The purpose of this study is to describe the quality of BIPA Textbook Multiculturalism Based for Beginner Level Speakers. This book includes validity, practices (learner activities and feedbacks), and leraner’s learning result. This research applies 4D development model. It consists of four stages of development that is define, design, develop, and disseminate. The result shows that the development of BIPA text book has a good impact.Keywords: textbook, BIPA, multiculturalism
