Abstract

Location of Sukalaba village located in the hilly area and far away which causing to lack of attention and monitoring by the regional government. The main problem of Sukalabans is disease threat because they are lack of knowledge and awareness in implementing health protocols and the garbage is not managed causing lots of flies around the settlement as a result of the large number of chicken farms. Focus of these service activities are public health and environment aspect. These activities aimed to change community behavior which led to a clean and healthy lifestyle (PHBS) to prevent disease transmission including covid-19, increase community hygiene and environmental health. The applied approach is communication approach with Extended Parallel Process model which focused to components of message, perception, and self-efficacy. The results of community activities covered educational communication of preventing of Covid-19 transmission, integrated waste management planning, and door-to-door counseling about use of fly poison. Other supporting activities are healthy exercise regularly, community service to mosque cleanliness, and planting 1000 trees.

Abstract

This journal contains the process of implementing the Creative Park educational tourism development training program through social media as an optimization of promotion in Pipitan Village, Walantaka District, Serang City. The purpose of this study was to analyze the implementation of the training program for the development of social media for educational tourism at Taman Kreatif by using a brief socialization method which included several stages of implementing activities, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The preparation stage consists of two main things, namely field observations and literature review. Sources of data in the study obtained through interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the lack of promotion through social media Instagram is carried out optimally. This is shown by the many accounts belonging to the Creative Park educational tour, but not many of them are active and the social media used is not up to date. In the implementation of this program, there is also a training process on the use of social media for the surrounding community in order to be able to promote the Creative Park educational tourism to the fullest

Abstract

Peran dan fungsi diseminasi sistem penerimaan mahasiswa baru perguruan tinggi negeri yang dilakukan oleh LTMPT terasa sangat penting. Informasi yang dinamis setiap tahunnya lewat kebijakan LTMPT harus terdiseminasi dengan baik dan mampu diterima oleh masyarakat luas yang memerlukan informasi tersebut. Masalah dalam penelitian ini dapat dirumuskan sebagai berikut yaitu sejauh mana efektivitas media komunikasi diseminasi sistem penerimaan mahasiswa baru pada LTMPT Provinsi Banten, dan apa saja faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap efektivitas media komunikasi penerimaan mahasiswa baru LTMPT Banten yang dilihat dari aspek kognitif, afektif dan konatif guru BK di Provinsi Banten. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji efektivitas media komunikasi yang digunakan pada sosialisasi dan promosi penerimaan mahasiswa baru LTMPT Banten yang fokus kepada komunikan yaitu guru BK. Metode kuantitatif yang digunakan adalah penelitian survei dengan menggunakan kuesioner sebagai alat pengumpul data primer.Dari penelitian ini dihasilkan model diseminasi media komunikasi sistem penerimaan mahasiswa baru perguruan tinggi negeri agar dapat berlangsung secara efektif dan efisien yaitu LTMPT Provinsi Banten melakukan diseminasi materi kepada guru BK (usia di atas 30 tahun, PNS dan Sekolah Negeri), melalui laman website/brosur/mulut ke mulut/instagram/youtube, kemudian diterima oleh calon pendaftar untuk melaksanakan pendaftaran dan LTMPT menyediakan helpdesk jika calon pendaftar mengalami kesulitan.

Abstract

The background of this research is that the population in Banten Province ranks 5th most populous in Indonesia reaching 12,203,148 people with the 3rd fastest population growth rate in Indonesia reaching 2.07% during 2015-2016. The progress of human development in Banten in 2017 experienced a slowdown marked by the growth of HDI (Human Development Index) which reached 0.65%, lower than the growth in 2016 which reached 0.98%. HDI is an important indicator to measure success in an effort to build quality of life for people (people / residents). This study aims to determine the communication strategy used by the Banten Province BKKBN Representative in controlling the population in Banten Province. This study uses a case study method and a qualitative approach to the Concept of Development Strategy according to the Academy for Educational Development (AED) 1985 and the theory of preparation of action by John Greene. The strategy used by the Banten Province BKKBN Representative is a strategy that is relevant to the theory of preparation of action, this theory of the preparation of actions examines the way we organize knowledge in the mind and use it to form a message. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dari jumlah penduduk di Provinsi Banten menduduki peringkat terpadat ke-5 di Indonesia mencapai 12.203.148 jiwa dengan Laju Pertumbuhan Penduduk tercepat ke-3 di Indonesia mencapai 2,07 % sepanjang tahun 2015-2016. Kemajuan pembangunan manusia di Banten pada tahun 2017 mengalami perlambatan ditandai dengan pertumbuhan IPM (Indeks Pembangunan Manusia) yang mencapai 0,65 %, lebih rendah dibandingkan pertumbuhan tahun 2016 yang mencapai 0,98 %. IPM merupakan indikator penting untuk mengukur keberhasilan dalam upaya membangun kualitas hidup manusia (masyarakat/penduduk). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi komunikasi yang digunakan Perwakilan BKKBN Provinsi Banten dalam pengendalian penduduk di Provinsi Banten. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus dan pendekatan kualitatif dengan Konsep Strategi Pembangunan menurut Academy for Educational Development (AED) 1985 dan teori penyusuan tindakan oleh John Greene. Strategi yang digunakan Perwakilan BKKBN Provinsi Banten merupakan strategi yang relevan dengan teori penyusunan tindakan, teori ini penyusunan tindakan menguji cara kita mengatur pengetahuan dalam pikiran dan menggunakannya untuk membentuk sebuah pesan.

Abstract

AbstractCommunication between superiors and subordinates who are the focus of this research is termed by Pace & Faules with downward communication, namely vertical communication that occurs between superiors to the staff below. The background of this research is PT. DHL Tangerang is a multinational company in the field of express and logistics couriers based in Bonn, Germany and Oslo, Norway. In Indonesia, there are already many branches of PT. DHL and PT. DHL gives a critique on the jobstreet website of PT. DHL Supply Chain, while the problems experienced by these employees have communication difficulties that are not running well by the leader or manager because there are often new projects that make moving places, making employees must be able to understand the wishes of the boss briefly. In this study, researchers used the theory of human relations. This theory emphasizes the importance of individuals in organizations and social relations in organizational life. The research method used is a quantitative method that is explanatory, namely causal relationships. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an influence of superiors and subordinate relationships on employee performance. Based on the results of the correlation analysis conducted by researchers between supervisor and subordinate relationship variables on performance has a significant positive or strong relationship. Based on the results of the SPSS 25 output, the value of the calculated F value is 101.794. Whereas the F value of table is 3.95. Value 101.794> 3.95, so it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Hɑ is accepted. This means that there is an influence of supervisor and subordinate relationship variables on performance.Keyword : PT.DHL Tangerang, Relationship between Superiors and Subordinates, WorkPerformance, Human Relations Theory.  AbstraksiKomunikasi antara atasan dan bawahan yang menjadi fokus dalam penelitian ini diistilahkan oleh Pace & Faules dengan komunikasi downward, yaitu komunikasi vertikal yang terjadi antara atasan ke staf dibawahnya. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah PT. DHL Tangerang merupakan salah satu perusahaan multinasional dalam bidang kurir ekspres dan logistik yang bermarkas di Bonn, Jerman dan Oslo, Norwegia. Di Indonesia sendiri sudah banyak cabang PT. DHL tersebut dan karyawan PT. DHL memberikan kritikan pada website jobstreet PT. DHL Supply Chain, adapun permasalahan yang dialami karyawan tersebut memiliki kesulitan komunikasi yang berjalan dengan tidak baik oleh pimpinan atau  manager karena sering adanya project baru yang membuat berpindah – pindah tempat, membuat karyawan harus mampu memahami keinginan atasan secara singkat. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan teori hubungan manusia. Teori ini menekankan pentingnya individu dalam organisasi dan hubungan sosial dalam kehidupan organisasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif yang bersifat eksplanatif yaitu hubungan kausal sebab akibat. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adakah pengaruh hubungan atasan dan bawahan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian analisis korelasi yang dilakukan peneliti antara variabel hubungan atasan dan bawahan terhadap kinerja memiliki hubungan signifikan yang positif atau kuat. Berdasarkan hasil output SPSS 25 nilai besaran nilai F hitung 101,794 . sedangan nilai F tabel 3,95. Nilai 101,794 > 3,95, sehingga dapat di tarik kesimpulan bahwa Ho  ditolak dan Hɑ diterima. Artinya terdapat pengaruh variabel hubungan atasan dan bawaha terhadap kinerja.Kata Kunci : PT.DHL Tangerang, Hubungan atasan dan bawahan, Kinerja, Teori Hubungan Manusia.

Abstract

Public relations is a proactive management role that monitors trends, events, and concerns that may occur and detract from the company's critical relationships. When a crisis develops, the Public Relations' efforts to continuously monitor through informal relationships and others may be of great service to the organization. PR can therefore be considered a company's portrait. It is the organization's eyes, ears, and spokesperson at the same time. When an organization is in a state of instability, public relations takes the lead, when it is in a state of stability, it remains diligent in research and analysis, and when a firm advances, it stands behind and supports all of the organization's supporting activities and initiatives. In other words, Public Relations is an absolute necessity. PR serves as a facilitator and mediator between an organization and the public during a crisis. In my preamble, I underlined the importance of public relations in organizations, particularly in Indonesia, which, from my perspective, still gives PR meaning and places it in a significantly different position than it should.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, State Junior Highs School 1 Menes implemented a distance learning system or use internet network. The obstacles that occur cause unfavorable behavior for students, such as decreased student motivation, poor relationships between parent and students and decreased student achievement. The purpose of this service activity is to change student behavior for the better by conducting good communication training to parents, providing motivation to learn through games and introducing digital library applications to increase reading interest and as a reference for students learning at home that researchers do face to face. The method used in this study is a mix method, which combines quantitative and qualitative research methods simultaneously. Based on the results of empowerment activities that have been carried out on students in order to help improve the quality of learning and student achievement, we carried out measurement of change through pre-test and post-test where the comparison value between pre-test and post-test was considered to indicate a change in thinking patterns. Students who are expected to change the pattern of student behavior for the better in motivating themselves to students in order to increase their interest in learning and be able to communicate well with their parents in order to meet their needs in online learning.

Abstract

The Covid-19 virus has spread out to Indonesia including Banten Province which causes multidimensional impacts from various sectors such as health, social, economic, and education. In risk mitigation of Covid-19 epidemic, it requires a risk communication approach, that is information exchange and views among stakeholders such as governments, industry, researchers/academics, mass media, and the community who takes apart of the Covid-19 Task Force. This study aims to determine the implementation of risk communication between Provincial government of Banten and stakeholders as well as the utilization of public health promotion media of Covid-19 epidemic mitigation risk. The theoretical basis of this research applied risk communication model proposed by William Leiss. The research was conducted using a qualitative evaluative approach with a case study method. The results of this research are 1) The Provincial Government of Banten consists of five stakeholders, they are government, industry, academics/researchers, mass media, and communities, in which every stakeholder has their own role of Covid-19 mitigation risk. The application used to communicate and coordinate are mostly perfomed virtually through Zoom and WhatsApp Groups. However, in practice, the implementation of Covid-19 mitigation risk in Banten Province is still not optimal because several stakeholders are not being involved by The Provincial Government of Banten. 2) The Provincial Government of Banten uses the strategy of above the line and below the line concerning the health promotion media to socialize and educate the public about Covid-19. However, the set of media content for health promotion still needs to be improved to be more creative, informative, up to date and raise the public opinion, so that it can fulfil the information needs of the society.

Abstract

In the midst of an all-digital and multi-application era, Pertamina released an application in the form of MyPertamina. This is a breakthrough to provide convenience to the public in meeting fuel needs when filling up at gas stations. In addition to facilitating the smooth running of subsidized fuel so that it is right on target. However, in reality, MyPertamina experienced various obstacles. With the theory of innovation diffusion, analyzing various obstacles and finding solutions that can be used. The technology adoption model and the innovation diffusion theory are considered as suitable models to predict user interest in adopting new technology. Dissemination of new ideas or ideas through communication channels is sure to trigger various reactions from the public. In principle, society is not seen as a passive recipient of information, but also as the main participant in development and communication, as local culture and knowledge are valued as part of development.

Abstract

The gap in the coastal resources utilization on the North Coast in Serang Regency has the potential to cause conflict between coastal communities dealing with local governments and sea sand mining companies. This research focuses on how the communication practices of the conflicting parties and the typology of conflict, communication interactions in conflict relations and communication strategies in conflict solutions. The research used qualitative approach which was conducted through in-depth interview with informants purposively. The results of the research showed that the dominance of natural resources was the trigger for conflict in the utilization of coastal resources on the North Coast in Serang Regency. The ineffectiveness of government and company communication in managing conflict potentials made coastal communities perceived the sea sand mining activities negatively. Coastal communities fought for their interests in various forms namely demonstrations, anarchism, social conflict between layers and human rights violations. The most active community groups were fishermen because sea sand mining had caused technical problems with fishing and decrease in income. The conflicting parties communicated with each other openly, defensively and in confrontational way. The practice of communication in resolving conflicts ran less effectively because the government and the company did not involve conflicting parties through communication to resolve the conflict. The research findings are the basis of understanding to manage potential conflicts and its escalations through appropriate communication to reach consensus to realize convergence of interests.
