Abstract

The concept of waqf, or Islamic philanthropy, has a long history in Indonesia, playing a significant role in the development of Muslim communities. Recent innovations in the digital era have opened up new opportunities for optimizing waqf management and its potential for supporting sustainable development in developing countries. This qualitative study aims to explore the role of digital waqf innovations in maximizing the potential for sustainable development in Indonesia, a developing country with the world's largest Muslim population. Through a comprehensive literature review and analysis of various journal articles, books, and other relevant sources, this research examines the practices of digital waqf innovations in developing countries. The findings highlight the potential of digital waqf innovations, such as crowdfunding, blockchain technology, and mobile applications, to enhance the efficiency, accountability, and reach of waqf management. These technologies can expand the collection of waqf funds, increase transparency, and facilitate easier access for the public to participate in waqf. Additionally, data analytics can be utilized to identify community needs and allocate waqf assets more effectively to support sustainable economic programs. However, challenges such as the need for increased digital literacy, public trust in digital waqf management, and the alignment of waqf regulations with digital technology advancements must be addressed. This study provides insights and recommendations for stakeholders in developing countries, particularly Indonesia, to harness digital waqf innovations for more optimal support of sustainable development programs.

The greeting which in Arabic is called "At-tahiyyah" is a very noble sentence that has been abandoned by many Muslims. Greeting comes from the word "salima" which is the opening word when meeting and greeting which means safety, peace, blessing. This research was conducted to find the meaning contained in the greeting and its implications for business. This type of research is in the form of library research with a qualitative approach, namely focusing on existing reasoning and logical abilities, for example, cause and effect relationships, if and then, actions result in reactions and the like. The results of the research show that greetings in Islam are not only mere conversation starters or small talk but more than that in business activities it will provide a sense of security and safety in the business activities carried out, sending down the grace of the Creator and also blessings in these business activities.

Abstract

Reading is considered one of the fundamental skills through which a person understands the relationship between written symbols and spoken sounds. The ideal proficiency in reading is evident when a person can read effectively, comprehend texts, and expand their vocabulary. Through reading, a person can understand the Holy Quran, the Hadiths, and Arabic language books. One of the schools where Arabic is taught is Al-Rayah Islamic Elementary School in Sukabumi. The lack of diversity in the teacher's use of educational aids and the students' perception of the difficulty of learning Arabic indicate their reluctance to learn it. The objective of this research is to determine the method of using the picture guessing game and its effectiveness in teaching reading skills. This research is a qualitative and quantitative study using an experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The data obtained are in numerical form through observation, interviews, and tests. The data analysis method employed by the researcher is the t-test using the Excel program to determine (p(T<=t), two-tail). The research reached two conclusions: the use of the picture guessing game in teaching reading skills consists of two versions: one implemented through PowerPoint and the other using written tools. The effectiveness of using the picture guessing game was evaluated through statistical calculation in Excel. The pretest and posttest results showed a (P(T<=t), two-tail) value of 0.000778484, which is less than 0.05. This means that H0, which states that the use of the game is not effective, is rejected, and H1, which states that the use of the game is effective, is accepted.

Abstract

This research investigates the intention of Millennials and Generation Z in Indonesia to engage in digital cash waqf by integrating technology acceptance determinants with religiosity. The study adopts a quantitative research design. Data were obtained from Muslim respondents in the Millennial and Generation Z cohorts and analyzed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to examine relationships among UTAUT dimensions, religiosity, and adoption intention. The empirical findings demonstrate that performance expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions positively and significantly influence individuals' intention to adopt digital cash waqf. In contrast, effort expectancy does not show a statistically significant effect. Religiosity has a direct and significant impact on adoption intention and serves as a selective moderating variable, strengthening the relationship between performance expectancy and intention. By incorporating religiosity as both an explanatory and moderating factor, this study extends the UTAUT framework within the context of value-oriented Islamic philanthropy. The results suggest that digital waqf platforms should prioritize tangible benefits, robust governance, and transparency, while also leveraging religious values and social networks to enhance adoption among younger Muslim generations.

Abstract

Waqf has emerged as an increasingly important instrument within Islamic social finance due to its potential to promote sustainable social welfare and support long-term socio-economic development. Despite the growing innovation in waqf management and digital philanthropic platforms, participation among Millennials and Generation Z remains relatively limited. This study aims to examine the influence of religiosity on waqf intention and to investigate whether income moderates this relationship among Muslim Millennials and Generation Z in Indonesia. A quantitative cross-sectional survey design was employed, involving 280 valid respondents selected through convenience sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4. The results indicate that religiosity has a strong and significant positive effect on waqf intention (β = 0.854, p < .001), confirming that religious commitment is a major driver of Islamic philanthropic behavior among younger Muslims. In contrast, income has no significant direct effect on waqf intention (β = −0.025, p = .435) and does not moderate the relationship between religiosity and waqf intention (β = −0.018, p = .554). The structural model demonstrates substantial explanatory power, accounting for 72.9% of the variance in waqf intention (R² = .729). These findings suggest that waqf intention among Millennials and Generation Z is primarily shaped by internalized religious values rather than economic capacity. The study contributes to the literature on Islamic social finance by highlighting religiosity as an independent motivational driver and provides practical insights for waqf institutions to develop value-based engagement strategies tailored to younger generations.
